Shootings in France 479

Let me be upfront: none of my usual contacts, so far, has any knowledge about the very clinical murders in France of the Iraqi origin British Hilli family. I have seen various internet reports of the links of Mr Hilli to the defence industry and that the French cyclist victim was linked to the nuclear industry. I am not immediately concerned that the other cyclist who raised the alarm was ex-RAF; had that fact been sinister, it would have been hidden or he might not have raised the alarm at all.

In short, I really do not know what is happening here and I don’t think normal hierarchies within British security agencies know either. It may be genuinely random, or not. I am not posting to speculate or to spread knowledge, but because unless I do post, commenters will derail other threads to discuss this. Should I discover anything, I will let you know. But we may well never know; we still don’t really know who killed JFK, or Hilda Murrell. There is always an answer, but it is not always known to the public.

No excuse can justify the failure to identify and help the poor little girl who was still alive in the bottom of the car. Discovering if anybody was alive in the car should have outweighed every other consideration for the emergency services. Protocols for the dead will not help them much, whatever they may achieve for abstract justice. The living are easier to serve well, and this was a gross failure.

From a VERY sharp poster who uncovered most of the raw data:

My guess is -he was killed by Iranian security, was probably a double agent, then uncovered., which lead to the mass slaughter, to send a powerful message

Where Al Hilli worked in Hawthorn: [link to http://www.cdrex.com]

And now more about it’s location: Hawthorn is the location of a number of defence related underground facilities in the vicinity of Corsham, Wiltshire. Specifically the Hawthorn site was the location of an above-ground bunker used for the planning of satellite communications support to the United Kingdom’s armed forces worldwide. These facilities had been built in quarries cleared through the excavation of Bath stone. The quarries have variously been used for Military Command & Control, storage, and the emergency fallback seat of the national government. Some areas of the quarry complex were hardened and provided with support measures to ensure resilience in the event of an enemy nuclear attack.

From the same source in Switzerland:

The cyclist that was killed worked for Areva

    That’s interesting:

and on top of that he was in the RAF “Royal Air Force”

French Alps shooting: RAF veteran on bike ride raised alarm after stumbling across murder scene: [link to http://www.mirror.co.uk]

You tell me, a coincidence ????, I think not, he was there on a covert protection mission, but a bit late…

Areva is involved with the Tokamak Cooling Water System.

Beatrice Annaratone was a Tokamak scientist killed in a tragic roadside accident along with her husband Arturo Tanga in 2009. Their 12-year-old daughter witnessed the accident, but survived.

Beatrice Annaratone had worked with the Max-Planck Institute.

    Same Swiss source:

There is no bullet hole on the body of the younger of the two women. “For the moment, I do not know how she died,” said the prosecutor.
     Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9132775

    My scenario:

Al Hilli worked on a covert “Iran nuclear program” operation set up by MI5, but in fact he was a double agent working for Iranian security, the Mossad learned of this, and sent documents to Iranian security regarding his real identity, they in turn massacred the family.

The idea that the Iranians did it seems unlikely to me. Too much to lose right now if they got caught. And many other things against the Iranian suggestion for me.

Re: ‘British’ family shot in France were Iraqi,..
One of the now-removed pieces of information about Saad al-Hilli claimed that he had been on a pilgrimage to Qom, Iran.

In previous news unrelated to this story:

    [link to http://www.telegraph.co.uk]

    [link to http://www.allvoices.com]

And the tale of another scientist who went on a pilgrimage:

    http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shahram_Amiri

    Amit has an interesting history

Check out what happened to him

  • anders7777

It is known that SAH visited Qom in Iran on a pilgrimage.

Qom’s proximity to Tehran, Iran’s capital, has allowed the clerical establishment easy access to monitor …

    See wiki

Shahram Amiri (Persian: شهرام امیری‎) is an Iranian nuclear scientist who disappeared from Iran for a little over a year under disputed circumstances. In the spring of 2009, he disappeared while apparently[1] on a pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia. About a year later two videos appeared, each purporting to be declarations by Amiri, but with contradictory stories. One showed him (or the person claiming to be him), stating that he had been kidnapped and tortured by Saudis and Americans; the other that he was in America of his own free will.

Dead cyclist reported to have worked for Cezus.

Consider the accident involving Beatrice Annaratone and Arturo Tanga. Surely AREVA/ITER have security personnel.

  • anders7777

“He worked as a freelance computer-aided design (CAD) engineer and had previously helped with designs for the Airbus A380 aeroplane, he added.”

Quite a diverse skill set Saad al-Hilli had.

Have to agree about lots of Brits in the area. I was there a few years ago and saw lots of Brits and even managed to bump into a couple of British ex-army guys out hiking and cycling despite being there only a few days! (maybe there is a secret underground SIS base 😉 The mobile phone coverage is pretty bad – think even the village of Chevaline is only covered in part. However I do remember that sometimes helicopters landed on the high plateau above the crime scene (for those not willing or able to hike it I guess or maybe just some filming)- Wonder if anyone has checked for helicopter landing there after the shooting?

A British cyclist was the first to raise the alarm after coming across the horrific murder scene.

The man, a former member of the RAF, came across the “powerful” BMW estate with the engine still running.

Public prosecutor Eric Maillaud said: “He also saw coming towards the car a young girl who collapsed before him.

“He quickly came to her and put her in a side position and called the police and ambulance service and everyone came to the scene.”

He then went over to the vehicle and found the French cycling victim – who had earlier ridden past him – by its side.

He broke a window and turned the car engine off and found the other three bodies in the car.

Mr Maillaud praised the actions of the brave Briton.

“He had a strong command of his nerves. We must welcome his action and congratulate him.”

A tourist who happens to be RAF, stumbles on this massacre and breaks the car window, just your average happenings in any French camping…

Cezus Ugine factory to Chevaline is a 24-minute car ride:

    [link to maps.google.ca]

The dead bicyclist who worked for Cezus has been identified as Sylvain Mollier, a 40-year-old father of three on paternity leave from his job at an AREVA-owned factory.

More in Saad al-Hilli’s skill set: he allegedly worked as a freelance designer for a company that made satellites.

    [link to http://www.dailymail.co.uk]

He met his wife in Abu Dhabi or Dubai, according to an acquaintance.

Said acquaintance doesn’t seem clear on his information about the al-Hillis. So why talk?

  • anders7777

The plot thickens as Saad’s other employer is EADS, the French Defense group, also linked to Areva, as the dead biker!!!!!!!!

Slight aside, but zircaloy has had some corrosion issues.

Newer alloys seem to be coming into favor. Chalk River CRUD mentioned in article above. Brings to mind the work of another deceased scientist:

PA has more background details about Hilli.

A family friend named James said they moved to the UK in the 1970s after their mechanical engineering business was looked upon “unfavourably” by Saddam Hussein’s Ba’ath party.

He worked as a freelance computer-aided design engineer and helped with designs for the Airbus A380 aeroplane, the friend added.

Hilli’s accountant Julian Stedman said he ran a company, Shtech Ltd, registered to his home address.

Online records show Hilli was also a director of a Swindon-based company offering “business services, aerial photographers and surveys services”.

He was also believed to have links with Guildford-based Surrey Satellite Technology. The company directed inquiries to the Foreign Office this afternoon.

Slightly different take on the Swedish connection from Canada (AP reports) Mae Faisal El-Wailly, a childhood friend of the brothers, made available a letter written to her by Saad last year that alluded to a possible inheritance dispute….But El-Wailly added that she did not believe Zaid had anything to do with the killings…..Swedish authorities have confirmed that a passport discovered on the scene corresponds to a Swedish person living in Sweden. But as of yet no absolute connection has been made between the older woman in the car and the passport or between her and the rest of the victims, authorities said.

    1. CEZUS Ugine employee and bicyclist found at scene.

    2. Problem discovered in 1998 with zircaloy cladding produced by CEZUS. Incomplete cladding not revealed until 2000

    3. Some of the tubes with faulty cladding may have found their way to market.

    4. Did any of the faulty cladding end up in Japan, specifically Fukushima?

    5. What did the dead bicyclist know?

Today they’re saying that they’ve received “credible information from British intelligence” that the brother had a family feud over what the dead man inherited. They’re implying that the brother paid a hitman.

Now call me silly, but if the brother wanted to take over his inheritance, surely the hitman would have been given full details of the family and instructions to take them all out. But the girls were left alive, and they’ll inherit their father’s money. Whatever, it seems clear that this is what they’re going along with.

  • anders7777

The sharp as a razor Swiss guy:

We all got all wrong, the key to the mystery is the French cyclist, Sylvain Mollier, (5 bullets) he worked for Cyzus, partners with Areva (Nuclear Fuel)

    @Anders
The inheritance dispute info springs from Phoenix, Arizona, perhaps: Mae Faisal El-wailly, a childhood friend of al Hilli’s in Iraq, described him as an outgoing child from a well-off family.

“As a child he was very active, very happy,” said El-wailly, who now lives on [sic]Phoenix and said she had reconnected with al Hilli through social media. “He liked photography, traveling, and cycling … He seemed very happy.” [news.com.au] Perhaps the “documents seen by The Sun”.

Connection here perhaps, or perhaps not:
    Tamim El-Wailly

    Title: Engineer at Honeywell
    Location: Phoenix, Arizona Area
    Industry: Aviation & Aerospace
    Current: Engineer at Honeywell

    Anders7777,

The Sunday Times headline doesn’t mention “Israeli” hit-men.

I think the nuclear fuel guy may be nothing to do with it. France has lots of nuclear technicians. Keeping an open mind on that though but maybe he really was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

  • Bajer

Nothing on the Sunday Times about Israeli hit men – just two hit men. However, the front page of The People does mention a Nuke link, which would contravene the D-notice. Although, the media are not obliged to obey D-notices, and The People may be of the opinion that this info is going to get out, so they may as well jump the gun.
