The Al-Hilli Conundrum 6629

My post on the shootings in France has brought tens of thousands of people to this site – but not to read my dull contribution. People are coming to read the comments from other readers.

Today’s development of the bomb squad descending on the al-Hilli house does not in itself worry me enormously. You may recall the massive terror scare that was ramped up when some Muslim students in Manchester were found to own a bag of sugar.

In fact we have the opposite phenomenon today, with the spook-fed “security correspondents” on TV lining up to tell us it is probably just everyday household stuff. This deviation from the standard Islamophobic “Muslims = bombs” narrative is so startling it makes me wonder why the “move along, nothing to see here” line is being taken so quickly.

My own security services sources insist that al-Hilli was not a person of current interest to the UK intelligence agencies and was not involved in anything clandestine. I have no reason to disbelieve them. On the other hand, the limited and confusing information in the media is almost entirely from official sources. I find it very strange indeed how little attention has been paid to the murdered French cyclist, and how easily it is presumed he was just a passerby. Surely it is as likely he was the intended victim and the al-Hillis the accidental witnesses?

Please do read the comments on my first entry on the subject to see the debate unfettered by the censorship in the mainstream media. This is perhaps my favourite comment:

From Janesmith101

All comments regarding Sylvain, Al-Hilli and a possible nuclear link are being removed from sites I’ve posted on in The Guardian, Independent and Huffpo UK.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2012/sep/09/alps-killer-motive-baffles-police

Here was my comment, I added as a point of fact it was completely speculative and an unproven theory in a later comment, also removed.

Sylvain Mollier, the ‘passing’ cyclist, was in fact a nuclear metallurgist who worked for a french nuclear company called Cezus (a subsidiary of Areva). Cezus fabricates and processes zirconium into metal and nuclear grade zircoaloy for nuclear fuel assemblies – it also has other applications in aerospace such as components and ceramics for missiles and satellites. Mr Al-Hilli was also a skilled aerospace engineer, on what looks to be his first camping holiday.

What is the probability that two highly skilled engineers managed be at the same remote place, at the same time, yet still managed to end up dead as a result of what looks to be a military style assasination?

As someone else pointed out in The Independent comments, the deceased were found by a ‘retired’ RAF officer who, we assume, will recieve perpetual anonymity as a witness. If the police are looking for a motive, try an intercepted rendevous by a security service fixated on denying a hostile power illicit nuclear technology.

http://wrmea.org/component/content/article/162-1995-june/7823-israel-bombs-iraqs-osirak-nuclear-research-facility.html

The Huffington Post UK reports that this wasn’t the family’s first trip to the camp site. An earlier report had asked other camp site visitors whether they had seen the family before and they had replied they hadn’t. If this isn’t wasn’t the first visit by Al-Hilli, it might slightly increase the odds that he knew or had met Mollier before, this being the last in a series of rendevous of a transactional nature. Mollier lived and worked locally.

Again, I’m not sure of the truth of these reports, there is some very sloppy journalism, as there is always seems to be. I’ve read for example Mollier’s company Cevus descirbed as a steel firm something which it is patently not, but perhaps it may have been a detail lost in translation.

An interesting comment summing up some of the strange coincidences, at least, surrounding these murders. My other favourite comment calls me a “macchiavellian shill”.

I have only one thought of my own I want to add at the minute. Al-Hilli was a Shia muslim and had been on pilgrimage to Qoms in Iran. What if it is indeed true that he was in possession of no especial nuclear or defence secrets to pass on to the Iranians, but the Israelis thought that he was? The Israeli programme of assassination of scientists involved in Iran’s nuclear programme is a definite fact. It makes as much sense as anything else at the moment, as a possibility.

I am not saying that is what happened. But the directions in which the mainstream media is being so strenuously pointed by official sources, like the massacre of an entire family over an inheritance, are certainly no more inherently probable. Certainly as we are now told all the shots were from one gun, for the assassin to get each victim in the head with none of them being able to escape, indicates real proficiency with the weapon and a very high level of training.

    Mike…

I am trying not to do shapeshift.

To be honest, I have a few ideas.
Well more scenarios built upon what is known…and best guesses.
And from being in that area.
I have flown into some of the places around there.

But I do enjoy reading Anders. He’s so off the wall.
You couldn’t pay for this on Sky !
But then again I am a big “Family Guy” and “America Dad” fan.

    CMON Anders…more insults !
    More weird stuff.
    More “snooker” stuff !!!!!

  • Haden

    @James

Exactly my point. Someone with the knowledge that Al-Hilli probably had, would be a huge asset/threat in the defence game. Either Boeing would want to poach him or eliminate him, or EADS would want to keep him or eliminate him. I know it does sound pretty far fetched, but the defence companies are a law unto themselves.

  • Sinbad

    @Watcher

Yes, hence my assumption that she was applying her research skills to answer the points raised in my earlier post.

  • Makka

It certainly gets easier to spot the shills doesn’t it.
This thread is being swamped by crap now.

    @ anders

there was nothing innocent about it I can assure you

I think the old man, Saad’s dad is worth a look at. He sems to be the one with the money, or not scared to flash the cash…or rather he was. All we know is he had a factory. Doing what?

Ikbal/Iqbal – wouldn’t there be a register of dentists somewhere? She was supposedly already a dentist, but must have had to take exams here to be able to practice here. There must be a trail of former dentistry somewhere. I’ve seen someone say she was actually 49 not 47 too.

They (she and Saad) were also late to marry at 37 and 40. Is that usual or unsual for Iranians? Or were either of them married to someone else previously? So much we don;t know about their backgrounds.

  • watcher

@Dopey I presumed they were late to marry due to fleeing Iraq, they come over here after a couple of years its all cosy and they start popping out child benefit vouchers, oops I mean kids

I really can’t believe how little time has been given on this thread to the industrial espionage angle. Huge merger (BAE/EADS) creating for the first time a real competitor to Boeing (I’m sure they’re not too happy, even though they’ve been playing it down in the media), Al-Hilli being an expert in probably the most competitive and lucrative sector of defence/aerospace (satellite technology/possible drone skills transference), both he and Mollier being under the employment of EADS subsidiaries, RAFman currently, according to the info that’s been posted, employed by Boeing. BAE have a pretty murky history (Al-Yamamah deal/Mark Thatcher), EADS have been worried about espionage in their ranks for a while and I wouldn’t put much past Boeing. Plus if it was industrial, it might explain the slightly less clinical nature of the hit, having used mercs or local crims. It seems to be more likely than a government hit IMO.

    Haden..

Never mention that on here or you will get called a “shrill” !

    Makka…

Have you read the stuff that “Anders” has written ???
Everyone that thinks somethings different is a “shrill”.

    Back to Haden…

It is a “live” possibility that it is along those lines.
He was a contractor, there are lots of contractors at Molliers place of work…and a key witness (if you find my bit above “somewhat above” looks also to her husband…I can find that link if you need)….
…but the up shot is, there are lots of “contractors” in that area. All in the same business.

I know alot of people in my area of work…so why should he (Mr Al Hissi). What brings him to this area of France ?

But if you voice concerns in that manner…you’ll pay for it on here.

    Hope that makes sense.

P.S. Forget Mossad landing at Geneva.
It is a massive private flying area.
Mr Anders wishes everyone to believe that some “midsize” or “large cabin” jey has landed there….without the crew going in the FBO, logging anything, requesting fuel, probably with it’s APU running etc…etc…etc…
However in the real word (I know) this does not and would not happen…and without another crew looking out and seeing anything !!!

Check Pprunes ! We see EVERYTHING. And gossip *incase someone is getting paid more mainly !)

    James

  • James

    See…. !

    I told you !

    Look above Haden !

Yes Bipolar, it is rubbish what he wrote.
    He’s crazy.
I was Mossad…and they have a bill to pay at Geneva.
Hope Noreen doesn’t catch them, she’s a bugger on fees.

Yours, Santa ! (I shifted shape then !)

  • Jen

    @sinbad @james

Oh, I know she is not. I am trying to establish some kind of link between the two families, that’s all.

  • anders7777

    @hades

Ok, time out from beating up the spooks! 🙂

I suspect you are a very miffed CANADAman?

    Correct?

    I understand your ire.

I have in fact been in pigeon-carrier mode for several days ref the Industrial Espionage angle.

Nobody here is REMOTELY interested, which probably means you are bang on the money. Maybe.

Lot at stake. Trillions, 100s of 1000s of jobs.

    Et cetera.

    Cannot be discounted at all.

“But Saad came over as a kid? And he had to go to Dubai to dig up a wife?”

    You fly.

    Emirates…or Etihad.
    Or go via Doha.

And if you are “arranged marriage” minded…but Westernised, it’s a cracking place to meet.

    Just a thought

  • Mark

I have been pondering the BBC ‘ex-RAF guy’ interview for a while and still undecided so am going to park that one for a while. Whatever, they would not introduce someone who had not been located at the scene so he was there in some capacity or other.

Bearing in mind the interview would have been scripted it may be that what was not asked is more relevant than what was. And the one thing which strikes me was the absence of questions about the dead French cyclist (Mollier). Any interviewer would have wanted to ask about him passing RAF guy, how long before etc. but we got nothing so he was clearly a disallowed topic. Why?

Also, no photos of Mollier, comment from friends or family etc. Highly unusual if he was an innocent local in the wrong place at the wrong time who may have bravely tried to intervene rather than turn and cycle back down that hill like the wind.

Also worth looking at what we can check from the interview. Obvious part is his cycle route and timings. Said he wad been doing maintenance on his house and went out for a 2 hour max ride. We know where the house is and where he ended up. Do the timings fit and is this a plausible route for a 2 hour ride?

Also interested in ‘Ex-RAG guys’ comments about car being stuck in wheel spin. Seems odd that a decent car on a level dry surface would dig itself in like that. Does not look as though it was wedged against the bank so if he was reversing back how would wheels have started spinning and digging in suddenly?

Another curious comment is the one the 7 year old is reported to have made about there only being one bad man. Kind of makes me think she saw others there who she did not see as bad.

Love the introduction of the black 4×4 . Just like an episode of Spooks.

  • dopey

I haven’t discounted the BAE angle. I just can’t be bothered to try any digging. Been there, done it on a good few huge corporates in the past. You find enough to know things are murky as hell, but not enough to prove you’re right….and it drives you round the twist.

“Time out from beating the spooks” ?

    Where ? When ? How ?

    Peter levelled you.

Mike saw through you (and you still haven’t answered him)

There are many others you call “spook” but I don’t see you “beating” them.

    ……………….

Looked to me to be quite a soft barky surface near the bank at the bank. Enough to foil a rear wheel drive….it doesnt take much.

  • watcher

@Mark, Moller wasn’t mentioned directly in the RAF play/interview, however I think the reporter went off script. In one of the edits doing the rounds he mentions that there is a discrepancy between timings of the witnesses and RAF man lets out a very over emphasized showbiz worthy of shirley bassey at Vegas Hilton opening night style ‘Oh’.
