Gaza Invasion 359

CNN just announced that Israeli is launching a ground invasion “after ten days of Hamas attacks by land air and sea.” There was no questioning of that quite incredible statement. Talk about the big lie.

In a strange way I prefer this to the continued aerial bombardment, because at least the Palestinians will be able to fight back to some extent. I do hope the Palestinian defenders have a good deal of success against the Israeli tanks. Let us hope the IDF get a bloody nose like they did in Lebanon 2006.

UPDATE

The heroic Israelis have killed a five month old baby with a tank. Hope they are very proud of themselves.

Well, I think you can congratulate yourself on a good day’s work for the Palestinian cause. You have

    – posted a couple of the usual gnomic comments

    – managed to confuse “questionaire” and “questioner”

    – creamed your trousers at the thought of Hamas acquiring shoulder-held missiles

    – changed your identification moniker.

You should now smoke another one while waiting the telegram of congratulation which you’ll soon be receiving from Hamas.

    Over and out, Hero!

You’re still dazed and confused. Check your crib-notes. Accuracy is not your enemy.

“What I would say is that in a democracy all sorts of unpleasant views will be aired. Ayelet Shaked’s comments are certainly not representative of anything but a small minority of extremists in Israel.”

    ————————————–

Israel has an artificially built-in Jewish majority so is not a democracy.

I doubt if Shaked’s comments are representative of a SMALL minority but quite widely held, especially among the settler population.

But even if that is the case her comments have not been widely aired in the western media whereas any Palestinian leader’s comments comparing Israelis (Jews) to snakes would saturate the MSM headlines.

  • DoNNyDarKo

Habba Habba !!! I doubt there are any Jew haters on this blog, but there is as sure as hell quite a few pretty pissed off with the Israeli’s.I doubt that the Israeli’s that are ethnic cleansing Gaza even believe in a God, and God certainly doesn’t believe in them.
Are you here to gloat about how many innocents the disciplined IDF have managed to kill today without the ire of the UN or US or EU ? Do you still think that the IDF is any different to the Waffen SS ?
The mask is off this time around and Israel stands there looking like the killing machine it is.There is no mercy, and there is no desire for peace and the world is looking on.Social media is beginning to show distaste and the global protests, despite politicians are becoming big enough to make a difference.
I used to think that a 2 state solution was a possibility, now I just want the Israeli’s to go home wherever the f*** it is. It sure as hell isnt Palestine.

13 Golani Brigade soldiers killed in Gaza fighting
IDF to release names later on Sunday; death toll rises to 18 troops killed in two days. Two of them were U.S. citizens.
    Jul. 20, 2014
Thirteen Israeli soldiers were killed on Sunday in several incidents across the Gaza Strip, bringing to a total 18 troop fatalities in less than two days.

The IDF spokesman released a statement confirming that during fighting, 13 soldiers in the Golani Brigade were killed. Two of the soldiers were U.S. citizens, the IDF confirmed.

“The IDF is currently completing the identification process; when the process is completed, and with the families’ approval, the names of the fatalities will be released,” the statement said.

In one incident in the Tufah neighborhood north of Shujaiyeh, Golani troops fell into an ambush in which an RPG was fired at their APC, killing seven and severely wounding two. Senior IDF officers criticized the use of the aging APC, built in the 1960s. In another incident, three soldiers were killed, including two officers in the battalion. Three more soldiers were killed in another gun battle nearby.

In another incident, an anti-tank rocket was fired at a building in Shujaiyeh where troops were staying, killing three and wounding many more.

Six Golani soldiers were wounded in another incident, when a grenade exploded near their positions. Army officials do not know whether the grenade was thrown by army troops and wounded the soldiers afterward, or thrown at the troops by armed Palestinians. In yet another incident, several soldiers suffered from smoke inhalation.

Five soldiers were killed on Saturday: First Sergeant Eitan Barak, 20, of Herzliya; Major Amotz Greenberg, 45 of Hod HaSharon; Sergeant Adar Bersano,20, of Nahariya; Second Lieutenant Bar Rahav, 21 of Ramat Yishai; and Sergeant Bnaya Rubel, 20 of Holon.

Army officials said that 130 Palestinians have been killed since the start of the ground incursion, 60 of them overnight Saturday-Sunday. Army sources say that more than 110 of those killed were involved in terrorist activity. Army officials say that another 800 Palestinians were wounded in fighting in the Gaza Strip since Thursday night. So far, army troops have found 36 shafts leading into tunnels, of which 14 tunnels were intact. The troops are currently operating to destroy these tunnels.

It is obvious seeing how much destruction has taken place, the families will be back living in tents this winter with the mother cooking on a little stove and coping without a water supply. Just as they were having to live after Cast Lead following which all building materials imports were banned by the Occupier.

According to the UN, Israel destroyed 3,500 homes in the Gaza Strip during Operation Cast Lead. Some of the displaced persons now live in tents, in harsh conditions. Participants in B’Tselem’s video project documented life in one encampment.

Gaza’s civilians, still unable to rebuild one year after Operation Cast Lead, ‘betrayed’ by international community

    22 December 2009

    Only 41 truckloads of construction materials allowed to enter since January;

Homes, schools, hospitals and water networks cannot be rebuilt.

The international community has betrayed the people of Gaza by failing to back their words with effective action to secure the ending of the Israeli blockade which is preventing reconstruction and recovery, say a group of 16 leading humanitarian and human rights groups in a new report released today ahead of the anniversary of the start of Israel’s military offensive in Gaza.

In the same way as they do not give prominence to Arabs who say that Jews are pigs.

Post from Mary, will worth repeating:

“What is Boris up to employing such an extreme Zionist? Am example of how Jewish people are embedded in the structure of government at all levels, national, regional and local and not even a moderate in Hoffman’s case. Just like Yankeeland. The Palestinian people do not stand a chance of regaining their land and homes until Israel goes down.”

Note the reference to “Jewish people”, rather than “Zionists”.

How tedious it has become to see an extract from another’s comment copied and pasted, then a line drawn and underneath the admonition.

Is that the prescribed method in Troll School? If so, they need to have a rethink.

  • Fedup

Even Sky “news” had to concede that ten percent of the Gaza residents are now homeless refugees after the zionist uniformed vigilante have been destroying their homes and neighbourhood with artillery barrages. The US tax dollars buying the tanks, howitzers, helicopter gunships, and shells so that the crazy zionist mad dogs can rain them on defenceless refugees in the largest concentration camp in the world and make those incarcerated refugees twice over refugees, without home or shelter, food, potable water and medical aid.

Whilst the creatures of the dark supporting these blood thirsty refugees on this board and elsewhere, goading the other commenters, and insulting them, all the while taking slight in any perceived “antisem….”. You cannot make this shit up!

“It might be an idea if the Eminences and Useful Idiots on here showed similar good sense and restraint.”

Perhaps the famous IDF should show some restraint. I have seen things on Twitter I never believed I’d see. Children of 2-3 years old with their heads missing, being carried in their fathers’ arms while they run screaming down streets full of rubble. The “most moral army” are a bunch of murderers and war criminals. And as far as I can see, they got one hell of a fright when Hamas started emerging from those tunnels and attacking them. They don’t like the idea that anyone can attack them or fight back. They’re like bullies everywhere – cowards.

“Alqassam arrested an Israeli soldier, accused of war crimes against Palestinians in Shijaia.”

Might give them pause for thought. After what they’ve been up to in Gaza, I hope it scares the living daylights out of them.

What a bunch of useless evil fuckers. They cant even get their story right. Middle East Monitor
    20 July 2014

Norwegian MP calls for boycott of Israel over its Gaza offensive
Norwegian leftist parties supported a call by a member of parliament to boycott Israeli products against the backdrop of the deadly Israeli onslaught on the Gaza Strip, Anadolu agency reported Sunday.

Labor Party MP and chairwoman of the defence and foreign affairs committee in the Norwegian parliament, Anniken Huitfeldt, has earlier called for boycotting Israeli products which Israel manufactures on occupied territories.

Huitfeldt demanded the government to implement the boycott as soon as possible “without wasting time.” Six other leftist parties endorsed Huitfeldt’s call.

Even though Norway does not sell arms to Israel, two of the parties supporting the boycott, the Labor Party and the Center Party, have stressed on the need to review Norway’s policy of selling arms to third-world countries, which resell those arms to Israel.

As benevolent dictator I would evict settlers from the West Bank and leave Gazan water rights to the Palestinians. Then I would convene UNHCR commission and ICC with enforcement powers to arrest any and all war criminals, transporting them to the Hague for a fair and just trial.
