Gaza Invasion 359

CNN just announced that Israeli is launching a ground invasion “after ten days of Hamas attacks by land air and sea.” There was no questioning of that quite incredible statement. Talk about the big lie.

In a strange way I prefer this to the continued aerial bombardment, because at least the Palestinians will be able to fight back to some extent. I do hope the Palestinian defenders have a good deal of success against the Israeli tanks. Let us hope the IDF get a bloody nose like they did in Lebanon 2006.

UPDATE

The heroic Israelis have killed a five month old baby with a tank. Hope they are very proud of themselves.

    Good, Ben, very good!

That was your 5th practical action in the Palestinian cause today (my post at 20h03 refers).

    You’ve earned another smoke.

Goodness gracious Dr Rosenberg! A storm in a Jet Blue.

Jewish doctor thrown off of JetBlue flight after accusing Palestinian woman of having a bomb in her luggage during heated argument over Israeli military action in Gaza
Dr. Lisa Rosenberg claims the woman called her a ‘Zionist pig’
The argument started after Rosenberg expressed her approval of Israeli military action in Gaza
Rosenberg is said to have suggested that the Palestinian woman had a bomb in her luggage
Rosenberg denies that she made any comments about the woman having a bomb or calling the Palestinian people murderers

Hypothetically, if you were in a position of very great power in the world and given a completely free rein to act, what would you do about Israel/Palestine?

1- Choke off any military supplies to zionist mad dogs as of this minute.
2- Start a mole hunt for the sleepers the zionist mad dogs have within the SIS
3- Go after the blackmailed politicos and civil servants, and hand them their choice; play the game my way or you are outed, and bye bye your perks, and pension
4- Go after the banksters and make sure that zionists are sanctioned and not a penny of the free money that is getting poured into that shithole is reaching them.

No need for any other actions, in a matter of three to four months the lot of the Abraham’s kin will be giving up on their patrimony of free land and lording it over Palestinians and start hitch-hiking and trickling back to Brooklyn or whence they came from.

The zionist mad dogs are a symptom of a bigger malaise plaguing the world. The fact that house of redshield aspires to have its own private realm and all the perks that go with the private gateway for money laundering on massive scale has had far reaching consequences which we the people are faced with. Balfour delivering his little declaration had no fucking Idea what he had started!

There is no need to look further than the current treatment of the Muslims in this country that is accepted racism as a matter of course. Then comes the rights of the rest of us to be eroded, whether it is to be frisked in the airports or to be asked in the banks; why do need to withdraw this amount of cash?

We the people are oppressed whilst the dog and pony show of victims of the atrocities gone, are wrapped in cotton wool an allowed to carry out real atrocities as we debate. Just take note of the insulting behaviour of the creatures of the dark in support of the zionist mad dogs on this blog. Why should we have to put up with this sort of treatment? Why should we be standing to explain ourselves that we are not “antisemi…”? Take a look around you and see the corrosive effect of these paid mercenaries and their zersetzung techniques.

Are you aware that a large proportion of the current Israeli population came from Arab and Islamic states – you are really suggesting they should go back from whence they came?

I’ve noticed that your language is becoming increasingly violent.

May we look forward to a return to your favourite expressions of your previous posts (“fuck”, “fucking”, “cunts”, etc) any time soon?

And speaking of your previous posts, where were you during the 6 months or so when you weren’t posting here? Was it somewhere without access to the internet, by any chance?

  • Fedup

Are you aware that a large proportion of the current Israeli population came from Arab and Islamic states – you are really suggesting they should go back from whence they came?

Oh, the ire and the indignation somehow dose not allow you to see the clear facts that those free loaders were already settled somewhere else and then in their bums rush for free land, and give way education, homes and phony jobs with great pay started to rush to stake their claim! They have no business to be there in the first place, so what is wrong with their repatriation to the countries they came from?

Your jaundiced, obtuse, one-sided world-view is so skewed that despite your awareness of the migration of these “kin” of Abraham from four corners of the world to claim their “patrimony” you find that acceptable.

Stealing anyone’s home, land, chattel is wrong regardless of how many biblical excuses you can string together! Are you incapable of understanding theft is wrong, murder is wrong, aggression is wrong, corruption is wrong, racism is wrong, playing the eternal victim is wrong?

Maybe I got that wrong. Proof here that IDF heroes face terrifying new weapons while doing their utmost to avoid civilian casualties.

How to succeed in US politics.

    (1) US Senate Unanimously Passes Resolution Supporting Israeli Assault on Gaza.
<blockquote>”The U.S. Senate voted Thursday night to support Israel’s ongoing invasion of the Gaza Strip.
No dissenting vote was cast, and no mention was made of the hundreds of Palestinian civilians, most of whom are women and children, that have been killed by Israel in the past ten days.
Senate Resolution 498 was authored by Bob Menendez (D-NJ) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC), with additional support by Ben Cardin (D-MD) and son of former Republican party politician Ron Paul, <b>Rand Paul</b> (R-KY).

(2)The US media is touting Rand Paul as the 2016 Republican frontrunner
<blockquote>”The first eight-plus months of 2013 have convinced us of one thing: Rand Paul acts and the rest of the potential 2016 Republican presidential field reacts.”</blockquote>

Having read this site and the comments for a number of months I note as no doubt others have , that the resident Zionist [the one for whom life is good ] has lost his/her usual eloquence , and seems strangely vitriolic and aggressive .
Lets hope he/she regains their ‘ cool ‘ . I prefer the face of nonchalant indifference with the mask , as opposed to the contorted angry face now exposed since it slipped .

The Israeli elite had a brainstorm: they surmised that exterminating a religious group in a simulacrum of battle is less incriminating than herding helpless coffles into gas chambers. This trick worked for quite a while, because tormenting a population into ineffectual resistance gave Israel mass media cover for thorough programmatic genocide. But Joe Blow is catching on, even in America. People are changing their minds. Israeli society’s homicidal mania is too pervasive to ignore.

The Israeli population is sterilized by DU and increasingly hostile to migrants. Privileged Jews are emigrating while they can. The Israelis have ensured their own extinction. The resulting end-stage genocidal frenzy of Israeli society follows the Nazi pattern remarkably closely. Recall that Nazi party membership rose by 1.5 million after 1943. So too Zionist extremism will intensify as Israel gets more desperate. The government of Israel commits crimes simply to prove its impunity. Next comes mass suicide, if the Nazi pattern holds – probably by nuclear war.

I’ve often thought that there are some, that is some, similarities to the Gaza Strip and the Warsaw ghetto. After years of worsening conditions the ‘occupants’ totally outgunned (And with the growing realisation of the horror of why they were there; that they were waiting in a staging post that would see them sent to the Treblinka Death Camp) started an uprising; I can only conclude it must have been to maintain their human dignity. The outcome was bound to be a disaster. Either way they were going to be murdered. I’d argue that the same harrowingly sad rational holds true now. Israel –the Israel instigating this war– you either conclude genocide of a people, fellow Semites, or you stop, talk and find and GIVE reason to live together. I hope THAT Israel wins the day.

  • Sven

“At least seven Israelis – including five soldiers – have been killed, and more have been injured”.

I hope this number of killed will go to reach the entire army of zionists.

  • Freedom is 100% free, many die to keep it that way

any attempt to suggest a parity between Palestine and Israel is a complete lie.

Palestine has no army, no air force, no navy … only a few hundred guerrilla fighters with relatively primitive weapons, a historically dismal record of successful military attacks. Its economy is in shambles, totally besieged by Israel. Most of its land is occupied by the Israeli military.

Israel has the 5th largest military in the world. It possesses hundreds of advanced jets, tanks, and precision guided weapons. It has hundreds of thousands of well trained and equipped soldiers at the ready. It has the full backing and support of the world’s only superpower. It has an incredibly strong economy, helped along by huge welfare payments from the United States and European countries.

    This isn’t a war.

A war is when two sides are fighting.

i’ve seen comments on other websites, praising Brzezinski’s recent, brief comments on cnn re Israel’s attack on Gaza, but there’s far more anti-putin rhetoric to read in the transcript. i’ve just posted the most telling comment by Zbig (think BRICS BANK) re Russia on Craig’s Air Disaster thread:

CNN Transcript – FAREED ZAKARIA GPS
ZBIGNIEW BRZEZINSKI: No, I think he (Netanyahu) is making a very serious mistake. When Hamas in effect accepted the notion of participation in the Palestinian leadership, it in effect acknowledged the determination of that leadership to seek a peaceful solution from Israel — with Israel. That was a real option. They should have persisted in that. Instead Netanyahu launched the campaign of defamation against Hamas, seized on the killing of three innocent Israeli kids to immediately charge Hamas with having done it without any evidence, and has used that to stir up public opinion in Israel in order to justify this attack on Gaza which is so lethal.
I think he is isolating Israel. He’s endangering its longer-range future and I think we ought to make it very clear that this is a course of action which we thoroughly disapprove and which we do not support and which may compel us and the rest of the international community to take some steps of legitimizing Palestinian aspirations perhaps in the U.N…

Yes, I saw that too, Brian. And I wonder how the doctors keep going. And the poor parents who must be close to insanity.

It is enormously encouraging to see that virtually all people here are not beguiled by the tsumani’s of Zionist propagated deception, covering usual cesspit of lies.

Really, it is incredible that the human spirit involving compassion, empathy, love etc cannot be extinguished, and that what is happening is recognised as blatantly evil, despite massive effort by the BBC, the Regev’s, trolls and other usual suspects.

One thinks that the insane violence meted out against the Palestinians (and to a much lesser extent against those that support the Palestinians right to a decent life along lines that we would wish for ourselves) is in part fuelled by a kind of irrational jealously and hatred against those who have those human qualities and values, which it seem to be unattainable by the hordes of Zion.

Kev Boyle ponders this dimension of Zionist empathy too, put to the test with ‘An Idea”

    Pain in Gaza
    http://popular-resistance.blogspot.co.uk/2014/07/pain-in-gaza.html

The touching photo of Dr Mads Hilbert kissing the forehead of the child brought me to sob out loud. What is happening to the descendants of a gentle people who lived a simple life is so terrible.

I see scabious, knapweed, tall grasses and many butterflies on my walks at the moment. Wild flowers and pretty butterflies can be enjoyed by all who have access to the countryside. The people in Gaza have no such chance. Constantly I think of our Palestinian sisters and brothers, and especially the little ones. Hell instead for them so often.

The Palestinians were originally a pastoral people living mostly in villages looking after their flocks and in harmony with nature sustained by a rich limestone soil. About 500 of those villages were bulldozed in 1948 and the sinful acts were disguised with dull alien pines. (The JNF forests) – see Ilan Pappe).

    Gaza needs more than condemnation
“The best way to honor those killed, injured and made homeless in Gaza is
to raise your voices even louder and demand that governments impose
sanctions against Israel. Now is the time to increase the number of
universities and businesses that boycott Israel. Now is the time to demand
divestment from more pension funds. Now is the time for more countries to
cut all ties with Israel.” says Haidar Eid

    s/be Dr Mads Gilbert

Read his book about Cast Lead. Eyes in Gaza
    http://www.amazon.com/Eyes-Gaza-Mads-Gilbert/dp/070437191X

Despite the Israeli authorities’ attempt to shut out aid workers and the media from the conflict zone, NORWAC (the Norwegian Aid Committee) succeeded in getting some of its envoys into the heart of Gaza City including two doctors: Erik Fosse and Mads Gilbert. For some time, the two were the only Western eyewitnesses in Gaza. This book is an account of their experience during sixteen harrowing days from 27 December 2008 to 12 January 2009. Each chapter covers just one day, as the reader follows the doctors’ journey through the ravaged city, treating local Palestinians and hearing their stories. Hailed by the influential Norwegian Newspaper Klassekampen as the ‘best book of 2009,’ Mads Gilbert’s and Erik Fosse’s shocking, yet sober account sheds much-needed light on this recent chapter of one of the most prolonged and complex conflicts of our time. Eyes In Gaza is translated from the Norwegian.

Gaza crisis: UN calls for ceasefire after deadliest day

A medic helps a Palestinian in the Shejaiya neighbourhood, which was heavily shelled by Israel on Sunday – 20 July 2014 (photo)

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said the shelling of a Gaza City suburb was “an atrocious action”

The UN Security Council has called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza after holding an emergency closed-door meeting on the crisis.

The talks came after the UN chief described Israel’s shelling of a Gaza City suburb as “an atrocious action”.

A total of 501 people have now died in Gaza during Israel’s operation against Hamas militants, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, with 3,135 injured.

US Secretary of State John Kerry is due in Egypt to discuss the crisis.

He will meet political leaders in Cairo on Monday, as efforts to broker a ceasefire continue.

On Sunday Gaza saw its deadliest day since the Israeli offensive began on 8 July, with 13 Israeli soldiers and more than 100 Palestinians killed.

Twenty Palestinians have been killed in strikes so far on Monday, the Gaza health ministry says, 16 of them in southern Gaza.

Well I’ve just heard about the most pathetic interview yet of an IDF spokesman or Radio 4s Today by Sarah Montague. Not a single challenging question. Allowed to go on and on without interuption. Absolutely pathetic. I’d have started with why bomb a rehabilitation hospital?

  • Je

I’m sure Montague would have thought of something challenging to ask if it had been her children getting slaughtered.

  • nevermind, it will happen anyway

Hamas is unable to respond in kind and that must change, because israels goal is to kill all Palestinians, their young unrestrained parliamentarians, no doubt brainwashed from a very young age, seem to get away with promulgating such views.

No need to talk peace anymore, Israel has blown that chance out of the water. They failed to see Hamas reaching out to them by uniting with Fatah, they exacerbated and goaded Israeli citizens with propaganda, making out that there was a chance of the two soldiers and one civilian teenagers being alive, by conbducting a violent rampage through the west bank, arresting many and bulldozing properties, when they knew this would further wind up the jewish public and bring Bibi’s sagging poll figures back up.

I say it again, that kidnap was a false flag and unless they find the culprits, they managed to get to Eichmann after some decades.
