Nick Cohen – an excellent fellow – has argued on similar lines many times (also as far as Amnesty is concerned). It is good to see that there are people out there in the real world who reach similar conclusions.

Well, any sensible person should fear the mob – except, perhaps, when they are part of said mob. Mobs , in general, lead to no good.
You cannot deny, Phil, that perfectly respectable demonstrations tend to attract a lunatic fringe which is less interested in the cause being demonstrated about than in an opportunity to cause violent trouble. On France – which sees the same phenomenon – they are called “casseurs”.
This is why, by the way, that the wearing of masks at demonstrations should be made illegal.

Peacewisher, I do physics and I haven’t “spoken out” because the collapses were not a violation of physics.
Doug Scorgie, the bulk of WTC7 was suspended on a frame erected over a transformer substation. If that frame were to fail the core of the building would collapse, followed by the outer shell. This matches observation.
So much time and effort has been dissipated on this red herring, and many good people have been discredited. I personally find that really depressing.

Haiti carnival accident kills at least 18 in capital
‘At least 18 people have died after a power line fell on to a carnival float in the Haitian capital, Port au Prince.
Witnesses said someone on the float used a stick to move the power line to let the float pass, the Associated Press news agency reported.
A doctor at a nearby hospital told the news agency that at least 18 people had died. Some were electrocuted, others died in the panic which ensued.
Officials said another 60 people had been injured.’

The stories of Helric Fredou the Deputy Chief of Juridical Police and Hamid Mourad the 18 year old 3rd “suspect” in the CH murders have been totally blanked by the French media and most of the Western media. Why is that? Could it be that there is something suspect about the CH official theory? Is it an arrestable offence to discuss this in France?
It just seems odd looking back that we were told very clealy that there were 3 suspects involved in the CH murders, if 2 were killed and the third (Hamid Mourad) had a cast iron alibi – then who was the 3rd man and why is no-one talking about this?

All three buildings were quite obviously pulled by very cleverly planned underground explosions. This would be for a very good reason, to reduce damage over a wider area. I just don’t understand why they don’t come clean about it, except because there is a financial issue – about insurance.
