A Game of Substitution 436

“J K Rowling’s always been batshit insane, this is nothing new”.
“Why are people just surprised about J K Rowling now – she has been this mental for years.”
“The, I presume, mentally ill, J K Rowling”
“J K Rowling should get F back to England”
“Don’t feel too bad for that lunatic J K Rowling” – followed by a sexual reference to her partner.

The newspapers would be full of stories tomorrow about this dreadful cyber-abuse. But that will not happen because all those tweets were about me, and all sent within the last twenty minutes, from identifiable unionist tweeters, some well known. Substitute Craig Murray for J K Rowling and they are verbatim. Just do a twitter search on craig murray and see for yourself.

I have never much been into Twitter. When I post here it is automatically tweeted, that is all. It is only today I realised how much you can see of twitter conversations and the interesting links between people. I had not realised that the execrable Carl Gardner, former very junior government lawyer and anti-Assange campaigner, has such warm links with anti-Muslim pro-torture campaigner Douglas Murray of the Henry Jackson Society, Vice President Jim Murphy. And how very interesting to see Blair MacDougall, Ross McTernan, Allan Massie, Euan Mccolm and numerous others from Scotland’s corporate media, all tweeting each other about how absolutely ridiculous it is to believe that the UK state would ever be involved in anything nefarious.

The same people were, of course, tweeting each other euphorically about how fantastically Jim Murphy had demolished Nicola Sturgeon in the leaders’ debates. It subsequently turned out nobody in the country saw it the same way as their smug little gang. I fear they will find the same is true now. Indeed, in the two hours since I posted, over twice as many people have already read about the false flag schemes, as the entire membership of Scottish Labour. That is more than the circulation of the Scotsman. There’s a thought.

The same people, of course, told you I was lying when I blew the whistle on torture and extraordinary rendition in 2004. The security services and the British Government would never do such a thing, they said. I was insane, they said.

Everybody now knows that I was telling the truth about torture and extraordinary rendition, and the Labour Government and the establishment shills were the liars. I am telling the truth again now and they are lying again now.

Thanks for that important link YKMN, soon we will hear ‘die Fahne Hoch die Reihen fest geschlossen’ wafting over from the Ukraine.

Anybody who wants Ukraine in the EU wake up now, it is morally stuck in a time warp that has been encouraged by the likes of Ms. Nuland and many others since 2004 the US is slowly feeding up its very own fascist attack dog, straining at the leash, but still too undernourished (more arms) to be able to bite that bear.

So America and Russia are downing passenger aircraft, claiming it was an accident.

Well I have never heard a better reason to stop arming each other. Lets start with Dolphin class subs to Israel and with clandestine nuclear weapons proliferation in Saudi Arabia!

We are just back to Edinburgh from taking Cameron to Legoland. Very best wishes to Mary, I am sure all of us will be thinking of her.

    Have you got a link?

The screams from Netanyahu and the neocons shrieking “kill the deal” and “bomb Iran” can be clearly heard attempting to derail a hard fought peace deal onto a path leading to war and crushing the undertaking achieved by the coalition of France, Germany, Britain, Russia and China while moving the lifting of sanctions by the U.N. Security Council, China, Russia and the EU go-ahead light from green to amber.

Obama is not going to war with Iran which leaves the provocation by the neocons, John Bolton, McCain, Lindsey Graham and others able to devise a false-flag attack that will terrorize Hillary Clinton (next US president) into backing an Israeli strike pulling the US into a war with an Iran now compelled to restore its nuclear program to where it was 18 months ago and world media headlines trotting out an ‘Ayatollah sabotaged Nuclear Deal’ – to goad the sheeple into belief.

Mark I agree that Hilary Clinton will be the next president, unfortunately. It is a frightening prospect. Remember her wild-eyed laugh rejoicing at the death of Gaddafi?

Fred, it is not for me to go searching for you. You must have remembered it at the time. The trouble is with Google search which used to be so good it no longer generally locates with ease anti-western links. I have to get mine elsewhere. What makes me suspicious about this is that it came up near the top. But anyway read the article. It is Russia Today so you will no more agree with it than the CIA sponsored Bellingcat blog run by Brown Moses does.

The evidence presented by Russia less than a week after the crash is all there. Still nothing from the US who claimed the Russians shot it down but never provided any evidence. Still nothing from them.

Thank you so much for that Craig. Appreciated. Did you take out a mortgage to get into LEGOLAND? 😉 I expect Cameron enjoyed it. It’s a shame that we cannot see a photo of him but aware of the perves on the net.

Abe Rene Thanks too. Yes papillary so not so invasive.

Briar Thanks to you as well. When I see the word ‘missed’ I think of the Mikado song – I have a little list, they never will be missed….

A bit of good news concerning Israel, for a change.

Israeli officials have given permission to 100 Palestinian doctors,to drive to their jobs at Israeli hospitals.

Its the first time in 15 years,Palestinian motorists have been allowed to enter the country whilst driving.

Cogat stated,if things go well, the programme could be expanded.

    A rare moment,in Israeli ethos,when sanity,overcomes intolerance.

  • John Goss

Thanks Brian. I’m sure we would all like to see more initiatives like that, more working together than tearing apart. Forgiveness is a difficult thing when people have been hurt. It is hard to forgive genocide.

  • John Goss

Sorry, thanks Republic of Scotland, not Brian. When Israel makes a positive approach it should be welcomed with open arms, even though forgiveness may be difficult is what I was trying to say.

The Chancer of the Exchequer,Gideon Osborne,in a Aberdeen today, trying to drum up support, for the Tories and quash the story that Scottish MPs would no longer be able to vote on budget matters.

Of course if Gideon says its not true, then it not true,eh Gideon.

Yet more blood on Cameron’s hands as these desperate people will do anything to escape the violence in the failed state of Libya. Many are from sub Sahara countries where Hollande has been active.

Hundreds of migrants feared drowned off Libya
    38 minutes ago
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-32312769

Cameron went along with the curtailment of the multi national rescue scheme because he said it encouraged migration to Europe but I heard it said today by a humanitarian agency representative that just as many people are getting on boats as before whether or not they believe that will be rescued.

MareNostrum to end – New Frontex operation will not ensure rescue of migrants in international waters
Italy’s Minister of Interior Angelino Alfano announced yesterday (9 October) that the Italian operation Mare Nostrum that has saved more than 140,000 people since October 2013 will end and be replaced by the Frontex operation Triton. According to the Council Conclusions agreed by the EU Justice and Home Affairs (JHA) Ministers, while the Triton operation is being deployed, there will be coordination with Mare Nostrum, in view of its “prompt phasing out”.

While Mare Nostrum operated also in international waters, Triton will only be active within 30 miles off the Italian coast, which has spread fears that more migrants and refugees will die in their attempt to reach Europe. Last week, ECRE and ProAsyl reiterated that if the search and rescue efforts were downsized, the death toll in the Mediterranean would rise.’

    Cheers Mark and Komodo.

The nice ENT surgeon with a dry sense of humour who performed my op told me this story. When he is lecturing medical students and young medics, he puts up a photo of Barbara and George Bush and their dog and asks for suggestions for a common denominator. Not many spot that all three have the symptoms of Graves’ Disease, basically hyperthyroidism. He goes on to say that all three including the dog were flown to Bethesda Naval Hospital for their doses of radioactive iodine 131!

The surgeon is not enamoured of the Bush clan for all the damage they have caused in the world. Let’s hope that Zeb’s attempt for the presidency falls away. Likewise Shillary’s.

The story is borne out by extracts from this – See Atrial Fibrillation and Graves’ Disease
    http://www.doctorzebra.com/prez/g41.htm

    http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Thyroid-over-active/Pages/Causes.aspx

The surgeon is dealing with a marked increase in thyroid cancer and disease and believes the cause is mainly environmental. He has even treated four local GPs for thyroid cancer.

The latest Guardian projection has the combined Labour and SNP share of seats on 326. This is an all time high in our daily series – and more significantly, it’s a majority.

The combined Conservative-Lib Dem share has dropped below 300 seats, and even by co-opting all possible sources of support – Ukip’s four seats and the DUP’s nine – David Cameron is, as things stand, well short of the bare minimum he would need to win a confidence vote in parliament.

This is all because Nicola Sturgeon has made it clear that the SNP would vote down a Conservative government, and Labour would all but certainly do the same.

Cameron’s challenge becomes even steeper if we add the projected one seat for the Greens, and three each for Plaid Cymru and the SDLPto the “anti-Tory” tally, taking the total to 333 seats.

Looking at the details, Labour are projected to win 272 seats, the Tories 269 and the SNP 54 of Scotland’s 59 seats. The Lib Dems are projected to hold on to 29 constituencies.

This looks very encouraging, but there’s still a bit of time to go and things can change.

I don’t want to be ungracious re the magnificent concession made by Israel to citizens of the occupied territories for whom it is responsible (without discrimination) and who are working for Israeli hospitals – though usually unabel to access the Gazan ones left standing.
    But I’m going to be, aren’t I?

When Israel does anything less than usually brutal and arrogant in respect of Palestine, it is usually a PR move in response to pressure. In this case, both the EU and the UN have been making noises about Israel, and even Obama has slipped some messages past the AIPAC Israel-protection squad. EG:

Also, Blair is believed to be in the area atm, and he’s badly in need of some politically inexpensive rehabilitation. No need for anyone to mean it….

Lysais thanks for that read the article, with interests, the Washington Post and NYT,usually come out swinging for the unionists.

I’m surprised David Cameron hasn’t asked Obama to,plead with the residents of Scotland, not to vote SNP.

Obama was, prompted by David Cameron to mention, that very thing during the Scottish independence referendum, and Obama obliged by asking Scotland to stay in the union.

Scots will get no support from Washington, breaking up the UK, as US missile base, is not what Washington wants.

“Never thought I’d see the Blackwater security personnel brought to justice, after the Iraqi killings.”

Yes, good news. We got it yesterday in England. LOL. 🙂

Tony Blair is still walking free though.

Ba’al at 38/9 Thanks for that. It’s probably not without pressure from outside, and like you say it is Palestinian doctors in Israeli hospitals, but so little positive comes from the Israel I am happy to lay aside my prejudice to welcome this small move in the right direction.

This Monday, Russia President Vladimir Putin visited the cemetery in the village of Marfino, not far from the old western Russian city of Staraya Russa, where he placed a bouquet of red roses. Then he met with veterans of the “Great Patriotic War,” the term Russians use to describe their battle against Hitler.

It would be hard to find another part of Russia that is as saturated with the blood of that war than the earth around Staraya Russa.

Officially, 850,000 soldiers died there during the two-and-a-half-year German occupation. The real figure is probably higher, because the Red Army long attempted, albeit unsuccessfully, to fend off repeated attacks by the enemy along the northwestern front.

EU leaders to snub Moscow’s World War II Commemorations.

No building bridges for the EU,which is silly, this is a great opportunity for a dialogue, the EU shouldn’t waste it.

May 9th is the date in question, the EU has just flexed it’s muscles in acting out its war games off the coast of Europe.

Russia intends to do the same at commemorations, pity,no leader from Europe will attend the event, and break the stand-off.

Ultimately it will be the rest of us who pay the heavy price,if common sense doesn’t prevail.

Huffington Post: General Election Poll Gives SNP Over 50% Of The Vote In Scotland:

The SNP has almost doubled its lead over Labour in the General Election race in Scotland, a poll suggests.

More than half of adults in Scotland who are certain to vote on May 7 (52%) said they would vote SNP, against 24% backing Labour, the TNS poll of 978 adults in Scotland found.

The 28-point lead is nearly double last month’s figure, when the parties scored 46% and 30% respectively.

The Conservatives scored 13% (down one percentage point), the Liberal Democrats 6% (up three points) and the Greens 3% (down one point).

As of April 7, a week ago. Could this mean the SNP gets all 59 Scottish seats?

THE Scottish Conservatives should stand aside and let the Liberal Democrats take their votes for the sake of the UK, says Willie Rennie.

Rennie said that his party’s 11 seats were all a straight fight between the Liberal Democrats and the SNP.

Rennie’s call came as he was campaigning in North East Fife. That seat was, until his resignation this year, held by Sir Menzies Campbell, and should, traditionally, be a safe Liberal Democrat seat. Rennie has admitted that it the fight for the this seat is “close”.

“Just the other day the Scottish Conservative leader was visiting North East Fife claiming they can win,” Rennie said. “It’s a seat the bookies say is a close race between the Liberal Democrats and the SNP. The Tories are also rans. The only result of their actions would be to divide the non-SNP vote and let the SNP win.”

Rennie continued: “Thankfully, many traditional Conservatives are ignoring the overtures from the Conservative Party. In increasing numbers they are backing the local Liberal Democrats to stop the SNP.”By refusing to engage in tactical voting Rennie said that the Conservatives had “put their own interests ahead of that of the United Kingdom.”

    http://www.thenational.scot/news/campaign-round-up-lib-dem-leader-issues-plea-to-conservatives-to-help-its-candidates.2052

The irrelevant Willie Rennie virtually begging the Tories to vote Libdem,to block the SNP.
