Kezia Dugdale Got Just 5,217 Votes 1642

The Labour Party is being remarkably coy about releasing the actual result of its Scottish accounting unit leadership election, giving only a percentage. The entirely complacent unionist media is complicit in what amounts to a deception. The stunning truth is that in a one person, one vote election among the entire membership of the Labour Party in Scotland plus trades union supporters, Dugdale won with 5,217 votes (out of a claimed electorate of 21,000, many of whom do not exist or could not be arsed to choose between two right wing numpties).

UPDATE: A second Labour figure just rang me to assure me my information – which was from a good source – is wrong. She would not give the actual figure and only said it was “higher”. I offered to take down the post and publish an accurate figure if she would give it, but this was declined.

    “Most British Jews I’ve met who are interested in politics are left-wing Zionists.”
    ………………………………………………………………

    You could be right there Anon1 but Zionism is the problem, left-wing or right-wing.

    Most British Jews regard themselves as Zionist.

    As to the American Jews – they are mostly uninterested in Zionism and have integrated into US society.

    I complained that Peter Beswick’s avatar was too much like mine and the mods changed his from like mine to blue and different because of me, even though he’s still using his original email address.

    I very much like Peter’s comments. i just thought they were often similar to mine and trolls might confuse his tough words with my tripe ( as my lovely mum tells me ).

    mea culpa. Not sorry. sorry.

    “Gaza is heading towards a comprehensive agreement on the issue of lifting the blockade and opening the [border] crossings in a long-term ceasefire deal with Israel,” Aktay said, according to the PNN.

    “The issue was discussed during [Hamas chief] Khaled Mashal’s visit to Ankara last week,” he added, noting that Mashal discussed the detail of an agreement mediated by former British prime minister and Middle East Quartet envoy Tony Blair.

    AFP said that Hamas representatives also gave details of the meeting between Blair and Mashal in Doha, which was reported by Palestinian and Arab media on Thursday.

    According to reports, Blair met Mashal for the second time in a month and a half and the two discussed the implementation of the ceasefire with Israel in exchange for lifting the blockade on Gaza.’

    A load of hooey. Whatever next?

    A slightly disappointing post because it seems to lay blame at the wrong door..

    You say:

    “It seems to me that this might suit those hasbara who would wish to suggest that the blog is obsessed with the subject2

    I note the “hasbara who wish to suggest”.

    but also note that this was preceded by your:

    “this thread was about the election of the new Scottish labour party leader, yet somehow like almost every thread ends up becoming about Palestine-Israel”.

    You should look carefully at the last several threads to determine who regulary introduces the Israel/Palestine theme.

    Is it the people who kindly call “hasbara” or is it, rather, the obsessives like Mary?

    It’s where he lives. With his cat. On kebabs from the Turk up the street.

    No it is a “Don”, and a “genius”………..

    Are you sure it is not living in its’ grandma’s basement?

    =============

    I formed my inference about the Habbu-Troll, from my very first exchange of all of three posts, and everything since has vindicated that opinion, but he has been protected & indeed encouraged, to become the constant blight of this blog.

    I second that. the moderations standards at the time were appallingly one sided and comical! Furthermore assumptions and assertions galore the trolls were drip fed data by the “mod” in a “clever” fashion.

    ===============

    Palestine-Israel is a complex and controversial international subject with some ramifications in domestic UK politics and of course the UK has an historic responsbility/link with the subject. Might discussion about it best be served by the creation of a thread dedicated to it? Just a suggestion.

    What is so complex about injustices wreaked by land stealing, murderous thieves believing in their supremacy and exceptional status?

    How about suppressing any mention of zionistan, and passing a decree to banish anyone mentioning those murderous supremacist vermin?

    Why are you intent on suppressing any debate about apartheid zionistan?

    You know what to do with your suggestion don’t you? {[Hint; (shove, sunshine not)] just for the sake of clarity}

    Thanks BrianFujisan

    The reported co-operation of Blair and Hamas may or may not produce any better results than Blair’s earlier interventions. The PA has already warned Hamas that Blair is not trustworthy -though I’d imagine both groups are all too aware of this. Their differences will as usualbe exploited by Israel: in addition it is exceedingly unlikely that, whatever is being said now, Israel will move a muscle to make peace on the proposed terms. We’ve been here before. Optimism that at long last, the scene can be changed. Something goes wrong with the stage machinery. Someone loses the plot. Gaza is bombed into rubble again. Blair is doing something important at the time, like shopping at Armani, and will ooze back when things quieten down and try to take the credit for the lull.

    This is slightly less scathing, but still pessimistic:

    https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/resources/commentary-and-analysis/20458-even-if-blair-is-not-befriending-hamas-look-for-a-new-beginning

    Deep within himself Tony Blair must be agonising over his current role; he is having to deal with an organisation that he once helped to proscribe in Europe. Who would have thought that he would sit down with Khaled Meshaal without Hamas having first implemented the Quartet’s infamous preconditions of the recognition of the state of Israel, adherence to previous diplomatic agreements, and renunciation of violence as a means of achieving its goals?

    After trying everything from assassinations to blockade and war, Hamas has not disappeared. There is still no love lost between the movement and its regional and international adversaries, so the issue today is certainly not about friendship. It is simply about attesting to the failure of a discredited policy of blockading and isolating arguably the major player in Palestinian politics, leading to years of wasted opportunities to make progress. It’s never too late to make a new beginning, though, and now would be a very good time to do it.

    Hope’s taken a hell of a battering, but it still springs eternal.

    Labour listening to it’s members? Only when they like what they hear.

    That will be the first!

    These wankers have long ceased to take any notice of any ordinary members of Labour. These red Tories have hijacked the Labour party and are pushing the same lines as their sponsors the oligarch owning the “free” media.

    Dugdale Trying this on FFS – Couldn’t make their Shit up, Wonder how she’ll get on with London Liebores on this one

    Asked what approach she would take on Trident if Mr Corbyn was successful, she said: “I want people to join the Labour Party and to be active in it, not just so that they can vote for a Labour leader… but so that they can be part of political debate, so that they can debate ideas and so they can vote for Labour policy.

    “I’m proud of the fact that my party is a party of nuclear disarmament. More warheads were abandoned under Labour than in any other country in recent history.

    “The question that you have to ask is what is the best way to get other countries to give up their nuclear weapons? I think the way to do that is together on a multilateral basis.

    “I recognise, however, there are people in the Labour Party and there are people who desperately want to support and join the Labour Party that take a different view.

    “So why can’t you have a situation where we’re not afraid to debate these ideas?

    http://news.stv.tv/scotland-decides/news/1326775-scottish-labour-leader-kezia-dugdale-not-afraid-of-trident-debate/

    Cheers for that Video Mark..

    And here Be why Why Israel is so concerned about Jeremy Corbyn becoming leader of the Labour party –

    A legal update in 2014 included the following;

    “Any person, whatever his nationality, who, whether in or outside the United Kingdom, commits, or aids, abets or procures the commission by any other person of a grave breach of any of the scheduled conventions or the first protocol shall be guilty of an offence”
    The “scheduled conventions” cover:

    the amelioration of the condition of the wounded and sick in armed forces in the field
    wounded sick & shipwrecked members of armed forces at sea
    the treatment of the prisoners of war
    the protection of civilian persons in time of war. (The “first protocol” relates to the protection of victims of international armed conflicts).
    And under each convention (Geneva Convention Act, Criminal Justice Act and International Criminal Court Act) is an Article (50, 51, 130 & 147 respectively) which sets out the “grave breaches” – acts including:

    wilful killing,
    torture or inhuman treatment, including biological experiments;
    wilfully causing great suffering or serious injury to body or health;
    unlawful deportation or transfer or unlawful confinement of a protected person;
    compelling a protected person to serve in the forces of a hostile Power;
    wilfully depriving a protected person of the rights of fair and regular trial prescribed in the present Convention;
    taking of hostages;
    extensive destruction and appropriation of property.
    Interestingly almost all of the ‘GRAVEBREACHES’ stated above have been carried out by Israel either before, during or after the 2014 Gaza offensive

    You sound English. I hope you are English because the phrase forgiveness is very skin-deep in the mad-mullah world of Takfiri Islam.

    My takfiri friend explained. I don’t know what my crime was, just existence possibly, but he would not ( having for some reason or other made takfir in his heart of me ) kill me in my country of origin where he was a guest, i.e. the UK, or in his country of origin where I was a guest, i.e Kurdistan, but if I was to stray outside those protected zones, he would definitely track me down and kill me.

    Does that explain a little about why Obama and Chavy Dave have a special relationship with Takfiri Islam, either the Salafi version they are funding and promoting in Syria, with Saudi Arabia and Qatar, or the Muslim Brotherhood version they are promoting in Tunisia or Libya?

    Does that explain anything about Hamas, or Assad, or Saddam or Israel? These guys are not really living in the same cosy world as us. They are stark staring bonkers, ready to rip down all curtains of decency if left unsupervised, as they are in Syria and Libya.

    Make no mistake, Turkey’s Erdogan doesn’t like the rules of Islamic hospitality protecting the millions of Syrian refugees who are sheltering on his territory. He wants to export them back to Syria where he can persecute them in the manner a Takfiri organiser knows best, when no-one is looking over his shoulder in a war zone.

    The Syrian civil war is a struggle between torture-induced madness of Frankenstein depravity and ordinary human-respecting Islam. Israel sits in the middle stoking the pot of division from USUK’s frontline outpost in the Middle East. What Obama, David Cameron, Peter Mandelson, Netanyahu, Gordon Brown, all decent neo-con types want is the former, for the Muslims and anyone who sympathises with them.

    It is only by the thin thread of Russian and Chinese socialism, wrapped in self-interest and disgust and moral indignation at USUKIS crimes in Libya and Afghanistan, that ordinary human Islam has been able to resist Obama, Cameron and Erdogan, by means of the Syrian Republic Army, the army which UK SAS soldiers are at this precise second trying to undermine.

    If Corbyn is on their side, the side of humanity, we should all 100% endorse and vote for him.

    Although this is slightly, perhaps even more than slightly, off-topic it is something I intend to pursue. The criminality of the powermongers in Ukraine must be exposed until the fascists of the Kiev government stop killing the civilians of Donbas. It happens daily. Every day. The BBC and other MSM outlets are culpable in not reporting what is happening. They reported almost daily what was happening in Maidan Square prior to the coup, but when people were actually getting murdered by those they supported they went quiet. Every thinking person, including those dissenters on this blog who have openly supported these fascists, and been rebuked by me for doing so, should realise that there is an agenda to publicise some events and not others.

    Good old Texas, the US man who, probably understanding how Texas became part of the USA, can see through the smokescreen of modern media reporting, and has volunteered to put his life at risk to serve the people of Donbas. His report here is current. Please note that because MSM refuses to tell us about the daily death-toll it is not going on.

    Hi Giyane

    Nope didn’t really get any of that but guessing you realise your “friend” isn’t actually a friend.

    That said I’ve had problems with my apostrophes all my semi literate life and I know what a struggle it can be. Yes I am English and lucky that I am, we have nice men in Vauxhall who can do our thinking for us. You seem to be over thinking the problem, what you need to know is that there is an “Arab Street” and if the Street is happy that’s good but if the Street is sad we have to bomb them.

    The thin threads of Russian and Chinese socialism you speak of (replace socialism by interests) are not so thin and will determine the outcome of the manufactured chaos and destruction.

    Corbyn is just a man, the fight that you speak of will not be won by a man or men it will be won by understanding, respect and tolerance; all in short supply in Vauxhall and upstream. Corbyn can shine a light but it is spirits that must burn to right these wrongs

  • BrianFujisan

    mark Ta

    Late last month, over the explicit protest of the head of the Israeli Medical Association and human rights groups combatting torture, Israel enacted the government’s “Law to Prevent Harm Caused by Hunger Strikes.” The law allows force-feeding of prisoners, even if the prisoner refuses, if the striker’s life is deemed in danger.

    Netanyahu’s Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan, who pushed hard for passage of the bill, has called hunger strikes by Palestinian security prisoners jailed for months without charge or trial “a new type of suicide terrorist attack through which they will threaten the State of Israel”.

    Only under a system as warped as apartheid, does a government need to label and treat non-violence as terrorism.

    Hi Peter

    you have your stars back, now in lovely green

    As to my words, well, I’ll keep trying. The octopus-whacking troll who cut and pasted a long article about Greece is now asleep; the one who hates cutters and pasters but laughs at those of us who have spirits to burn. Octopus should be cut in small pieces, not tried to be swallowed whole.

    My said friend the Takfiri Muslim, on the pretext of finding me a wife, very secretly tightened his octopus arms in a stranglehold round many aspects of my life, viz, my work with UK employers, my work with Muslims, my friends, my English non-Muslim family, my mother, my sisters, my ex-wife, my Muslim Kurdish family, my relationship with the Asian mosques in the UK and Kurdish mosques in Kurdistan. The purpose of torturing people is to turn them into control freaks.

    This is the ancient knowledge of the Arab Street, how to control the village with threats and violence, while maintaining the air of being a pious Muslim and a good tribal citizen. Takfiri Islam basically allows you to cancel all the rules of Islamic human decency in relation to anyone you can discover breaking one of the rules of Islam.

    By their contorted imagination, on the Arab Street, the ‘sinner’s, life, wife, property i.e all the Mosaic 10 commandments change from Red Light Nots to Green Light Dos. I hate to say it but this is the kind of ancient knowledge handed down from generation to gemeration for which the Children of Israel lost the custody of the religion of Tawheed, the Oneness of God, and had it removed from them.

    It’s the CIA’s job, or previously British Intelligence’s job, to put it back again into the purified religion of Islam. This interference by the Takfiri sects of CIA Islam would be extremely irritating if it were not for the clear statement by Allah in the Qur’an that it will earn the reward of Hell for those who practise these ancient arts passed down from Bani Israel.

    The war in Syria, from a Muslim or Christian perspective equally, is a prophecied struggle between truth and falsehood as the world accelerates towards the Day of Judgement. Political Islam, as Gordon Brown so eloquently explained it, is the adoption of satanic rules for the sake of obtaining power, which can then be transformed into action to save the world from Satan. Exactly the doctrine of my ‘friend’.
