UPDATE Labour Are Still a Bunch of Crooks 206

UPDATE

36,000 people voted for swizzler Tessa Jowell to be Labour candidate for London’s mayor. If you consider the facts below, that says something very scarey about a substantial portion of Labour Party membership, even if she didn’t win.

The fact that it is still a serious possibility that a substantial number of Labour members will vote for Tessa Jowell to be the party’s candidate for London Mayor – which Labour electorate includes the new membership – should be a serious jolt to anybody who believes the Labour Party is transformed. The Labour Party is still full of crooks, and Tessa Jowell is one of the biggest crooks.

As I wrote in 2009
:

Tessa Jowell actively participated in the laundering of the corrupt payments from Silvio Berlusconi, given to her husband David Mills in return for false testimony in court to cover up some of Berlusconi’s endless crooked dealings. Tessa Jowell participated as a full partner in the three time remortgaging of her home, paying off the mortgage with cash and then remortgaging. She has stated that there was “Nothing unusual” in this.

Most people would think it was very unusual to be able to pay off a large mortgage with cash at all. To do it twice and remortgage again each time would strike most of us as very weird indeed.

Tessa Jowell claimed she did not read the mortgage documents before signing them or know where the money was coming from. David Mills was eventually acquitted on a technicality by the Italian legal system, but it is not in dispute that the money came from Berlusconi or that he lied in court. Jowell claimed she did not read the documents and had no idea where the money came from or what her husband was doing. She then “left” him and went through a sham “separation” which the whole London establishment knew was a fake, (but the media obligingly did not publish), until the heat died down and the couple could get together again.

Revelations about Labour crookedness constantly make you gasp, such as the meetings Cherie Blair set up with Hillary Clinton on behalf of the Qatari royal family. Blair’s free holidays on Berlusconi are well remembered. Labour can claim that the Corbyn election is a defeat for Blairism and a new leaf. But if today Jowell gets more than a derisory vote, we will all know Labour are still a bunch of crooks at heart.

    She got 41.1% of 87,954 votes cast = 36149

….they’re still a bunch of crooks at heart

….As I told my MP last time they tried, any attack on Syria and i’ll be morally supporting them, Russians, Iranian, against this monstrous interventionist doctrine disaster…It’s no different to nazi Germany.

Ben had it a about right, US is like nazi Germany and we are like Austria…

And this monstrosity, what it actually does and has done, makes ISIS look like nothing. Just one event (of the countless) that these forces unleash is more harm that Isis could do in it’s wildest dreams.

And they really reflect each-other, the thinking is just the same. Unless you are part of our group your life means nothing. And we will unleash whatever from of extreme violence we imagine to secure our ends, Or just because, Justified of not. Proportional or not. We will go to sick places most people would not believe or accept…

I really don’t see a difference. This is how fear control works.

“most perverted human beings imaginable and I would like to see them wiped out”

    RE Harry law…

I think you fail to get what this is about. It’s not about a group that is all the same nutters, it’s a cultural phenomenon “we” (people like you) helped create. You look at the worst aspects, mentally separate “them all” from your good ‘civilized’ self, and then exclaim how you’d like to wipe them all out like they are all just animals. Yes, well why don’t you go and join them. I’m sure you’d find common ground.

Fred; “So you think a human life is worth more on one side of an imaginary line on a map than on the other? I don’t understand, maybe it’s a nationalist thing.”

    LOL !! A typical weasel non-answer, and from “I only posts facts” & “I don’t make the issues personal” Fred !! 😀

Whetever you are a deliberate pro-Establishment troll, or just a narcissistic odd-ball who likes to be contrarian in order to appear clever, with this response you have proved yourself beyond any doubt to be a unable to debate in good faith, and also revealed yourself as a shameless hypocrite.

“do you think the establishment will be able to rig the Labour leadership election? ”
They are certainly doing everything that they can. The election is being run by the Blairite loyalists who fill all party jobs. And they-it is in the DNA of Blairism- have no fear of being caught out breaking rules. Neither do they care about the consequences to the party of a blatant fraud. Blairism’s roots lie in Tammany Hall and Obama’s Chicago- the epicentres of machine politics for almost two centuries.

As to the London vote- it is important, though depressing, to bear in mind that large numbers of voters backed Jowell on the basis that she is a woman (etc etc). Just as another large contingent will have voted for Khan because he is of sub-continental origin.
What has been novel about Corbyn’s campaign is that it has not been about the anti-politics of identities but ideas and policies.

New BBC report on yesterday’s Amal Clooney/Cherie Blair bugging – amazingly “forgetting” to mention the involvement of Mrs Tony in the affair! WTF? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-34220634

Meanwhile the Labourship election result will be announced live on LBC’s Ken & David show tomorrow, probably, allegedly again, might be worth a listen!

Sadiq “I won’t repeal the Bedroom Tax in London” Khan has won the Labour mayoral candidacy
    September 11, 2015

The BBC have claimed that the mayoral candidacy could possibly give an indication as to who will win the leadership contest.

Anyhow, if he wins, you can expect Diet-Boris. Not convinced? Listen to this interview clip from late June and see for yourselves.

“Whether you are a deliberate pro-Establishment troll, or just a narcissistic odd-ball who likes to be contrarian in order to appear clever..”

Surely, nobody could ever accuse Fred of trying to appear clever?
As to narcissism all the establishment trolls suffer from that, which, from a public finance point of view, is a good thing: imagine the cost of paying
    them for their contributions.

It’s clear our establishment love ISIS, and why they do what strengthens them. They create the perfect justifications, what’s next on the list of isis monstrosities we can use to justify militarism and our civilised brutality in oil rich areas. Always communing up with new shock horror porn for PR war planners to gross people out. Nice little bit of teamwork really.

Can someone actually confirm what I remember Obama saying “step aside ISIS” when announcing he was going to be attacking them. Did I imagine this? It seemed like, move isis were meant to look like we are fighting you.

No, I think the “masters of war” dig them. All this PR shit is just for the masses.

  • LFOL

Macky to Fred – “also revealed yourself as a shameless hypocrite.”

The reptilians by their very nature are simply unable to “see” their own hypocrisy, and will merrily continue completely unabashed – habba here is a classic example. Or as the natives say more eloquently in Africa,”a baboon does not see its own bare ass”!!

  • John Goss

“What has been novel about Corbyn’s campaign is that it has not been about the anti-politics of identities but ideas and policies.”

That is what is so good about it. No wonder Cameron, Friends of Israel and the neocons of all parties are shitting themselves. Corbyn has already questioned Cameron on the legality of drone-killing. That is something the Blairites would never have done.

  • fred

“So they knew about these British people…”

Just as I don’t see what difference it makes which side of a line someone is standing I don’t see what difference it makes what it says on their birth certificate. A human life is a human life and no human life is worth more or less than any other depending on where they were born.

  • harry law

Ishmael @1:13pm I did not create IS, and I have no common ground with a group that thinks ALL people not like them are apostates and should be tortured and killed, their families raped and openly sold as slaves to the highest bidder. Neither is this cultural, the vast majority of Muslims, of whatever persuasion reject these perverts and realize that Islamophobia can easily be whipped up by far right and Neocon elements who take the opportunity to lump together this perverted terror group with the vast majority of ordinary peace loving Muslims.Unless IS is confronted and destroyed the middle east and the wider world will never be peaceful.

  • Ishmael

I never said you created them. And i’m going to pretty much ignore the rest of the nonsense after, that skimming over suggests you missed the point entirely to, again, push your war is Peace agenda.

And it actually annoys me when people simplistically twist things I wrote because their brain obviously only fictions within narrow PR parameters that paint the world like a child’s fantasy book.

…should be a serious jolt to anybody who believes the Labour Party is transformed…

Come on, blog owner, don’t be devious. No one is arguing that the Labour Party “is transformed”. Transformation will take a fair time, a lot of effort and a divisive (but necessary) tussle, including purge for some and a period of purgatory for those not quite deserving of purge. At the moment, there is merely a glimmer of hope. A range of different forces, some open others hidden, will be marshalling their dark arts to ensure that transformnation is nipped in the bud.

36,000 people voted for Tessa Jowell, it proves to me that there is very little morality in the Labour party.

Mind you watching London Labour,in Scotland cavort and cajole with the Tories during the Scottish referendum proved to me anyway, that Labour politicians not all mind you, would sell their grannies to get ahead.

  • Republicofscotland

Meanwhile, I know the SNP government has its faults, which do need addressing sooner than later. But I was very pleased to read that the SNP MP’s joined the protesters at Whitehall to protest the arrival of the war criminal Netanyahu yesterday.

A spokesperson for the SNP MP’s said that just about all of the 56 MP’s are pro-Palestinian.

  • Republicofscotland

Jeremy Corbyn and the SNP’s relative silence on the extra-judicial killing of UK citizens in Syria leaves me more depressed.

The SNP have demanded to see the intel on the strikes of the people in Syria, one of them was from Aberdeen. Angus Robertson the leader of the SNP MP’s at Westminster has spoken out on the matter.

“The SNP have demanded to see the intel on the strikes of the people in Syria, one of them was from Aberdeen. Angus Robertson the leader of the SNP MP’s at Westminster has spoken out on the matter.”

Humza Yousaf has demanded to see the intelligence reports, Nicola Sturgeon and Alex Salmond are both members of the Privy Council which was briefed on the matter.

  • Macky

ROS; “The SNP have demanded to see the intel on the strikes of the people in Syria”

That response is worrying sign & a serious mistake; effectively buying into the Government narrative that the “right” intel could justify extra-judicial murders; the correct response is to both condemned the illegality & the ludicrous reasons for the necessity of these State assassinations, which was indeed Jeremy Corbyn’s response.

  • Ishmael

Maybe what they seek, or a lot of this is about, is a “quick remedy”. ‘We just need to sort this out once and for all’ kinda thing. Dream land.

Helps to forget the past doesn’t it…And so we re-live the horror over and over. Just need to go in and assassinate the right people, bomb the right people…To finish this.

We’d be better simply acknowledging our past, accepting it, and leaving other people alone. The world would be grateful that the US doesn’t have anyone to make it feel like it’s part of some ‘international community’.

God our establishments role is pathetic and shameful. Trully shameful.

“The Labour Party is still full of crooks”

Well yes, the same people are there and there haven’t been any mass resignations. Yet. Change does seem to be in the air though. Any views on Sadiq Khan, the chap who actually won, defeating Jowell rather comfortably?

    _______________

Macky, I see your point, the SNP may well, want put all the facts on the table then totally condemn the actions. Afterall the British government claimed it was an act of self-defence, then why not make them prove it first.

Lets us find out the legal basis behind their drone strikes the Tory government have ridden roughshod over the will of the parliament, which voted for no military intervention in Syria.

The UKcharter has been quoted about the right to self-defence but the UN Charter applies between states, not states and individuals.

So-called Islamic State, or Daesh, is not a state.

If the SNP say no more on the matter then I will be disappointed, hopefully that won’t be the case.
