UPDATE Labour Are Still a Bunch of Crooks 206

UPDATE

36,000 people voted for swizzler Tessa Jowell to be Labour candidate for London’s mayor. If you consider the facts below, that says something very scarey about a substantial portion of Labour Party membership, even if she didn’t win.

The fact that it is still a serious possibility that a substantial number of Labour members will vote for Tessa Jowell to be the party’s candidate for London Mayor – which Labour electorate includes the new membership – should be a serious jolt to anybody who believes the Labour Party is transformed. The Labour Party is still full of crooks, and Tessa Jowell is one of the biggest crooks.

As I wrote in 2009
:

Tessa Jowell actively participated in the laundering of the corrupt payments from Silvio Berlusconi, given to her husband David Mills in return for false testimony in court to cover up some of Berlusconi’s endless crooked dealings. Tessa Jowell participated as a full partner in the three time remortgaging of her home, paying off the mortgage with cash and then remortgaging. She has stated that there was “Nothing unusual” in this.

Most people would think it was very unusual to be able to pay off a large mortgage with cash at all. To do it twice and remortgage again each time would strike most of us as very weird indeed.

Tessa Jowell claimed she did not read the mortgage documents before signing them or know where the money was coming from. David Mills was eventually acquitted on a technicality by the Italian legal system, but it is not in dispute that the money came from Berlusconi or that he lied in court. Jowell claimed she did not read the documents and had no idea where the money came from or what her husband was doing. She then “left” him and went through a sham “separation” which the whole London establishment knew was a fake, (but the media obligingly did not publish), until the heat died down and the couple could get together again.

Revelations about Labour crookedness constantly make you gasp, such as the meetings Cherie Blair set up with Hillary Clinton on behalf of the Qatari royal family. Blair’s free holidays on Berlusconi are well remembered. Labour can claim that the Corbyn election is a defeat for Blairism and a new leaf. But if today Jowell gets more than a derisory vote, we will all know Labour are still a bunch of crooks at heart.

“Lets us find out the legal basis behind their drone strikes the Tory government have ridden roughshod over the will of the parliament, which voted for no military intervention in Syria.”

    Did they?

    When?

    Syllogism, Fred style.

    Did they?

    When

    ________

Humza Yousaf, SNP MSP and the Scottish Government’s International Development Minister, said the Conservative administration has “ridden roughshod” over Parliament’s prohibition of military action in Syria with its drone strike on British jihadist Reyaad Khan and his Aberdonian associate Ruhul Amin.

The democratic will of the parliament was not to have military intervention in Syria when this was brought to the parliament a couple of years ago, and that parliamentary will has been ridden roughshod over so we need the reasons why.

    So which resolution?

There was one in August last year for military intervention against Assad’s forces in Syria which was defeated and one in September for military action against ISIS in Iraq which passed. I know of no resolution concerning ISIS in Syria.

Not a shock though, they are part of the grown up’s now. Must take responsibilities we just can’t comprehend.

The thing is if you truly oppose the narrative it’s a less safe thing to do career wise. And with good reason. Dangerous. Looks like your not being serous about all this ‘serous business’ that government is. World police force.

I know Cherie likes a bargain. Is she getting a good deal on her food shopping at Sainsbury’s from her connections in Doha? The Qataris own 25.99% of the shares.

” The UKcharter has been quoted about the right to self-defence but the UN Charter applies between states, not states and individuals. ”

Really? Where does it say that?

    Article 51

Nothing in the present Charter shall impair the inherent right of individual or collective self-defence if an armed attack occurs against a Member of the United Nations, until the Security Council has taken measures necessary to maintain international peace and security. Measures taken by Members in the exercise of this right of self-defence shall be immediately reported to the Security Council and shall not in any way affect the authority and responsibility of the Security Council under the present Charter to take at any time such action as it deems necessary in order to maintain or restore international peace and security.

It reminds me of that woman questioning Jeremy. Effectively it was like ‘Are you saying we shouldn’t bomb anyone?’.

It’s totally normalised and faces ridiculing attitudes to those not predisposed on the use of violence as de-facto behavior, just taken for granted.

BTW, I don’t bother to learn men’s names i’v go no time for either.

  • Republicofscotland

    This is interesting.

“No State or group of States has the right to intervene, directly or indirectly, for any reason whatever, in the internal or external affairs of any other State. Consequently, armed intervention and all against its political, economic and cultural elements, are in violation of international law.

Kempe; “Really? Where does it say that?”

    ROFLMAO !! 😀

The top contender for Dumbest Troll is Kempe, as it’s always been !

  • Macky

    More classic Fred b/s;

“I know of no resolution concerning ISIS in Syria.”

And I know of no resolution concerning ETA in Spain, so can we bomb them also ?!

“It was not a resolution to sanction strikes against ISIS in Syria”

    Exactly Einstein, and did you notice the clarification at the end;

“Notes that this Resolution relates solely to efforts to alleviate humanitarian suffering by deterring use of chemical weapons and does not sanction any action in Syria with wider objectives.”

So it’s actually confirming that there is no authorisation for any other British action in Syria regardless of if the Resolution is passed or not.

“It was not a resolution to sanction strikes against ISIS in Syria.”

The British public and the HoC, voted against military action in Syria, which should includes drone bombing people on Syrian territory by British forces.

Whats the point of having a government if they don’t heed the will of the people and the House.

Using a loose and variable position over the words imminent threat, to mean whatever you want them to mean depending on the states position at any given time. Doesn’t mask the true fact that the HoC and the people of Britian rejected military intervention in Syria.

The motion, calling for a strong humanitarian response which may have included military strikes, was defeated by 272 votes to 285 on Thursday night.

Speaking after the defeat, Prime Minister David Cameron said it was clear Parliament “does not want to see British military action” in Syria.

He said: “It is very clear tonight that while the House has not passed a motion it is clear to me that the British Parliament, reflecting the views of the British people, does not want to see British military action in Syria.

“As for UK domestic and constitutional law Royal Prerogative trumps all else.”

Yes we know, is it any wonder then I’m a republican, also David Cameron didn’t seek royal approval over the House on the Syrian vote.

“The British public and the HoC, voted against military action in Syria, which should includes drone bombing people on Syrian territory by British forces.”

They voted against military action against Assad’s forces to alleviate humanitarian suffering in Syria to be precise.

It’s quite simple, if any Member of Parliament feels that Cameron’s actions would not have the backing of Parliament they can table a motion of no confidence. That would decide the matter once and for all.

  • Macky

Fred; “It was legal in international law.”

Err, it took place in Syria, not Iraq !

Fred; “As for UK domestic and constitutional law Royal Prerogative trumps all else.”

LOL ! So the Queen issued a royal command to kill two of her subjects ?!

Keep digging Fred, your credibility was shot a very long time ago, but for the benefit of new people here, keep digging ! 😀

Thankfully the majority of MP’s saw through David Cameron’s little ruse to enter Syria under the guise of humanitarian aid.

‘The Tories want war. Tell them: Don’t bomb Syria.

Tell your MP to stand against military escalation in Syria.

Tory foreign policy combines stupidity and brutality in equal measure. The idea that drone attacks on Syria make Britain a safer place is absurd.

Military escalation and extra-judicial assassinations will only increase resentment against the West from people in a region already inflamed by a decade and a half of occupations, bombings and killings.

The Tory government is desperate to escalate its intervention in the Middle East once again. Despite being defeated on the issue in parliament in 2013 they are pushing for another vote on military escalation.

Stepping up intervention in Syria will only increase the violence, chaos and suffering there. It will also lead to an increase in the number of people fleeing the already war-torn country.

Britain has been the most aggressive country in Europe over the last fifteen years, leading military interventions in Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya. Yet it has done little to help the victims of the wars it so enthusiastically pursues and it has been at the forefront of opposing a humane policy towards refugees.

Another destructive bombing campaign is no solution whatsoever. Tell your MP to stand against further military escalation in Syria and prevent another disastrous intervention.

She’s already changed her spots once – off to work for the tories for the olympics. She’s a crook, an unrepenteant crook. Her estrangement from her husband, whilst sharing a house with him and going on holiday with him, and never mentioned in any media publication outside of private eye.

    Shameless crook

“It doesn’t matter what happened in 2014, it’s whether Cameron would have the backing of Parliament now that counts.”

The article I linked to regarding David Cameron’s defeat wasn’t in 2014 but July this year.

The article you linked to saying David Cameron now has the backing of the House, is riddled with safe guards that Cameron must comply with before the Red Tories will back him. The article also opens with the word suggests hardly a confirmation.

Finally the Red Tories indicate that they will back David Cameron in the article you linked to, to defy Jeremy Corbyn.

A huge rally has taken place in the Spanish region of Catalonia with hundreds of thousands of pro-independence campaigners lining the streets.

The Together for Yes campaign, a separatist coalition of parties, is leading the polls ahead of Catalonia’s regional elections this month.

The group kicked off its campaign late on Thursday night ahead of the mass rally on Friday.

Sadiq Khan elected as Labour’s candidate for mayor of London

    http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2015/sep/11/sadiq-khan-elected-as-labours-candidate-for-mayor-of-london

Info on Khan a Red Tory rising star.

On 3 February 2008, The Sunday Times claimed that a conversation between Khan and prisoner Babar Ahmad – a friend and constituent – at Woodhill Prison in Milton Keynes had been bugged by the Metropolitan Police Anti-Terrorist Branch. An inquiry was launched by Justice Secretary Jack Straw.

There was some concern that the bugging contravened the Wilson Doctrine that police should not bug MPs. The report concluded that the Doctrine did not apply because it was ordered by a police officer and not an MP.

Khan becomes only the second Muslim ever to serve in the UK Government.

In the House of Commons in January 2009, Khan criticised the Pope for the rehabilitation of Bishop Richard Williamson following his remarks about the Holocaust, a move he described as “highly unsavoury” and of “great concern”.

I think Mr Khan could be a LFI. He also served as the Chair of the Fabian Society.
