Dear oh dear Craig, I thought your mob was a bitter sharper than this. As things stand they’d be wagging their finger at Swift’s Modest Proposal.

Hasbarakuk got the gag though. Nary a peep I note. I think we may that declare that silence equals complicity.

Oh wait, Bleb is it? How do you do. Nice to know someone’s paying attention.

I don’t know which is worser, Habba ranting on this blog as if we were his shrink about his genocides getting groped or his childish excitement at being told by Craig that he isn’t a troll.

I don’t read the habba rants any more. There are so many that it takes ages to scroll past them to read something more interesting. It would be good if the mods put a limit on the number of posts per day.

Tutu, the Nobel Peace laureate, criticized Israeli policies toward the Palestinians in the territories as “humiliating.”
    http://www.jpost.com/Diplomacy-and-Politics/Desmond-Tutu-Israel-guilty-of-apartheid-in-treatment-of-Palestinians-344874
‘…”I have witnessed the systemic humiliation of Palestinian men, women and children by members of the Israeli security forces,” he said in a statement.

“Their humiliation is familiar to all black South Africans who were corralled and harassed and insulted and assaulted by the security forces of the apartheid government.”

Observers in South Africa are preparing to mark “Israeli Apartheid Week” on Monday. Tutu, meanwhile, has declared his support for the use of boycotts and economic sanctions as a means to compel Israel to alter its policies…’
‘…”Those who turn a blind eye to injustice actually perpetuate injustice. If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor,” Tutu said…’

‘Military Detention is No Way to Treat a Child‏’:
    http://nwttac.dci-palestine.org/?utm_campaign=noway_nonus&utm_medium=email&utm_source=dcipalestine
‘…Every year, around 700 Palestinian children are arrested and prosecuted in an Israeli military system notorious for ill-treatment and torture. We partnered with the American Friends Service Committee to create No Way to Treat a Child, a US-based campaign that seeks to challenge Israel’s prolonged military occupation of Palestinians by exposing the widespread and systematic ill-treatment of children in the Israeli military detention system.
Israel has the dubious distinction of being the only country in the world that automatically prosecutes children in military courts that lack basic safeguards for a fair trial. We are organizing and supporting an extensive network of people demanding immediate protections for Palestinian children in Israeli military detention…’

‘Israeli refuseniks expose Occupation’s dark underbelly’: http://mondoweiss.net/2014/09/refuseniks-occupations-underbelly/
‘A letter signed by 43 veterans of an elite Israeli military intelligence unit declaring their refusal to continue serving the occupation has sent shockwaves through Israeli society. But not in the way the soldiers may have hoped. Unusually, this small group of reservists has gone beyond justifying their act of refusal in terms of general opposition to the occupation. Because of their place at the heart of the system of control over Palestinians, they have set out in detail, in the letter and subsequent interviews, what their work entails and why they find it morally repugnant. Veterans of the secretive Unit 8200, Israel’s NSA, say it is drummed into new intelligence recruits that no order is unlawful. They must, for example, guide air strikes even if civilians will be harmed…..’

And the result? Condemnation by Netanyahu, and all the Israeli political parties, and silence from the masses.
Bit reminiscent of Kristalnicht, and the Yellow Stars, eh?
Seems most Israelis are making like the ‘Three Wise Monkeys’.

Off subject, but though both John Ward and Craig obviously care about the Chagossians, John Ward has not responded to a request from Sabrina Jean for him to contact her, nor has Craig (whom I emailed, but I know he is busy and doubtless gets a lot of emails) replied to my request for him or the Mods to contact John Ward with Sabrina’s request, in case he missed the post. ill anyone who is in contact with either John Ward or Craig please let them know Sabrina is anxious to contact John?

“Since Israel has never had, and does not have, the *intention* to destroy the Palestinian people in part or in whole, it cannot be accused of committing or attempting to commit genocide.”
    ……………………………………………………………………..

What you are trying to say Habbabkuk is that , although Israel is committing genocide, it is completely unintentional. Well I never!

  • Ba'al Zevul

He looks a troubled man. He has aged in the last few years. Who knows, he may have a conscience of sorts. Something is definitely eating away at him from the inside. It is not going to get better because of his arrogance.

While I agree, the hours he keeps, many of them above 35000 feet, can’t be helping. Ditto the elaborate meals, the Press attention, when he doesn’t want it*, and the strain of acting several self-imposed roles while being blissfully unaware that he is not qualified to do any of them. He’s in Cairo today (or may already have left, as he flits from autocrat to autocrat) solving the Middle East. It’s a huge responsibility, is solving the Middle East. But on the bright side, it does pay well.

    * Which is always, these days. Ideally news about the Dear Global Leader is filtered and predigested by his London PRs before the hacks are allowed to get their claws on it. Fortunately some real journalists still exist.

    Actually not, Doug.

What I was doing by citing Lembkin and Arricle 2 of the Genocide Convention was to show that it is simply incorrect to speak of Israel committing genocide.

I also pointed out that the UN General Assembly, despite adopting scores of Resolutions (highly) critical of Israel, has never adopted one accusing Israel pf committing genocide.

BTW, for what it’s worth, I note that Craig Murray , who is not afraid of using robust language and who is certainly no friend of Israel, has also never written that Israel has committed or is committing genocide (Craig can correct me if I’m wrong).

    ***********************

Finally, Doug, you will note that not a single one of the responses to my magisterial and definitive post has even attempted to demonstrate that I am wrong.

Responses, when not containing insults and ad hominems, have merely attempted to distract by raising all manner of other aspects of the ME situation – everything except the question under discussion, which is whether Israel is, as claimed by some obsessives, committing genocide.

Gamma double minus yet again, I’m afraid! 🙂

The more people come onto this thread to tell others that they don’t read my posts, the more I suspect they actually do.

But why are you taking the floor to tell everyone? After all, the information is not very interesting, surely. Are you burnishing your credentials?

The Habba-Clown would have us believe that what the reality of what these maps show, is the result of natural normal development, not the result of an intentional policy !

    http://www.ifamericansknew.org/images/FourMaps.jpg

Craig has written many absurdities over the years, but his recent declaration that the Habba-Clown is not a troll, rather just “mischievous”, is probably for many people, the final nail in his credibility coffin, as a more stark example of being detached from reality is hard to imagine.

  • Clark

Macky, I think you need to ask Craig what he means by the word “troll”; many people use it to mean something more like “shill” or “astroturf”.

No, Clark. What Macky needs to do – if he disagrees with what I wrote and feels strongly enough about it – is to present counter-arguments and refute me.

Calling me a troll and complaining that Craig thinks I’m not is simply an attempt to divert from the subject.

  • craig Post author

I use troll to mean someone paid for disruptive or propaganda online activity, or part of an organised group doing same even if unpaid. I don’t think Habb is either.

Incidentally Macky I have received about a dozen approaches from people saying you are a roll paid by Russia. I do not believe those either.

Trolls, incidentally are not banned. As I have frequently stated, and indeed it is in the commenting rules, people should engage with the arguments made and not the motives for making them. For example, were somebody paid by Russia, it is quite irrelevant as to whether the arguments made or facts presented by them are true or not.

Habb and you are both welcome, As I have frequently said to many people, id you want a site where everyone agrees with you, fuck off and start your own,

I Should Say…. Serious Warning… My post of Gang Murder @ 2:40 Am

The ziofuckwit vigilante thug, the way he was treating the teen age girl high school student as though he was dealing with a Medellín Cartel hit man, and after she had emptied her school bag he went ahead and shot her!!!!!!

This is the kind of zionfuckit the oh so tossers so calmly support on this board and elsewhere, anyone who is not experiencing an intense hatred towards these supremacists thugs is not a human being, and has sold his soul to the devil.

    ===============

Blair is only apologising (well half-apologising) because there is some heavy foul-smelling waste of his about to hit an almighty fan in the form of Chilcot or some other disclosure source he has wind of that we can only surmise.

He did no such a thing, if you listen to him you will hear that he is blaming the “wrong of intelligence”. He is not owning up to anything and, is talking lawyer talk!!!! That miscreant will never own up to anything other than blaming everyone else.

He’s in Cairo today (or may already have left, as he flits from autocrat to autocrat) solving the Middle East. It’s a huge responsibility, is solving the Middle East. But on the bright side, it does pay well.

Ba’al he is probably giving “investment” advice to al Sisi, That Morgan’s sales rep ought to carry his satellite terminals with him anywhere that he goes to tap directly into the stock market from anywhere.

The scum that he is ought to be tarred and feathered and paraded to Hague and as it stands he is sitting there and talking with a fork tongue that has even convinced some people that he is “apologising” fro his crimes!!!!

  • MerkinScot

The original meaning referred to someone who tries to divert – paid or unpaid.
In Habby’s case, we can see through the attempts to divert from discussion of the slow genocide in Gaza and just how the BDS campaign is being effective.
    .
His diversions ain’t important but do show how effective apartheid boycotts can be.

  • Macky

@Clark, the two terms you cite have quite specific meanings, although they mostly employ trolling for their aims; online trolling actually has only one general definition, which is to engage in discussions in Bad Faith, ie unwilling to engage in honest debate, as more interested in other nefarious aims. Of course there are those also who unfortunately are in effect unwitting trolls, simply because of a lack of intellectual acumen. The Habba-Clown is twice as toxic because he is a troll on both these qualifying counts.

Almost all of the Clown’s posts are pure ad hominems, irrational & offensive nonsense, totally devoid of any meaningful points, but designed to trigger particular responses; funny enough on this thread, in a rare exception that actually proves the general rule, by virtue of sticking out from his normal behaviour, he has put forward the “unintentional” argument. This is the classic apologist’s dishonest mantra, from Zionists to Pro-War Humanitarians, and in a classic case of projection, he states that he expects people to scour the internet to find arguments against this, whereas it’s obvious that his indefensible statements iro of Israel, lead him in the first place to scour the Net to find this classic Zionist bogus counter-point of “intention” to defend his statements.

Craig has not been shy about calling out people like Kempe & Resident Dissident, yet are we to believe that Habby outfoxed Craig, by calling his bluff on calling him a troll ? Instead, Craig’s opinion that the Habba-Clown is not a troll, absurd as it is, is not unexpected or even surprising to anybody familiar with this blog, which in itself is a damming indictment.

(I see that Craig has just replied, short of time to rewrite my Post but will revert back later)

  • Ba'al Zevul

Ba’al he is probably giving “investment” advice to al Sisi, That Morgan’s sales rep ought to carry his satellite terminals with him anywhere that he goes to tap directly into the stock market from anywhere.

Glad the message is getting through, Herbie. He probably does. Though he’s just as likely to be tongue-up-passage with Naguib Sawiris, who was very close to the last coup, and may even be the financial power behind the Sisi regime.

I see two of Sawiris’ jets took off from Cairo in the last hour – his workaday Global Express heading south (could be the gin run to Sharm – coverage isn’t too good there) and one of his Gulfstreams heading NW and very possibly transporting the Blair home – this has happened before. Should be over Crete about now.

  • Julian

I reiterate my suggestion that we raise some money to have an ignore button. I disagree with Craig that trolls are part of internet debate. Macky puts the point about their intentions well. In any case I don’t want to interact with them, life’s too short. I also think that Mary would still be posting her often interesting links, if she wasn’t silenced.

It is my long experience that ignore buttons work. It gives each person on this forum the option to engage with someone, or not bother with their posts at all.

  • Ba'al Zevul

^ If Habbabreak is no longer generally available (Greasemonkey no longer supports it) I still have the files, and it still works. I will send these to a suitably secure destination* if anyone’s interested. This is effectively an ignore button add-on for Firefox only.

In any case I don’t want to interact with them… So don’t. Simples.

    *Squonk? Clark?

    @Habbabkuk (la vita è bella)

BDS is not going away. It, like ISIS serves Israel’s interests.

If you study the ‘BDS Declaration’, you will find that BDS is not against the Jewish occupation of 78% of the historic Palestine. BDS uses the word “occupation” for the West Bank and Gaza Strip but not even for East Jerusalem which all were occupied by Israel as result of its 1967 War of Aggression. The BDS demands from Israel; 1) Ending its occupation and colonization of all Arab lands occupied in June 1967 and dismantling the wall, 2) Recognizing the fundamental rights of the Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel to full equality (meaning Israel has the right to exist within pre-1967 borders); and 3) Respecting, protecting and promoting the rights of Palestinian refugees to return to their homes and properties as stipulated in UN Resolution 194.

The BDS people are normalizers of Zionism within its 1967 borders – their whole approach is one of de-legitimizing Israel only outside of its pre-1967 occupation, suggesting that if Zionism left Gaza and the West Bank they would accept the Zionist entity.

It is my long experience that ignore buttons work. It gives each person on this forum the option to engage with someone, or not bother with their posts at all.

I have already invented the button and use it frequently; “Piss off troll!” soon as the miscreants try and engage me, fact is no need to go high tech and start adding more code, we all should have enough self discipline to ignore or evolve coping strategies.

Don’t fall into trap that Trolls have targeted you or others such Mary (although she did not want/wish her name mentioned here). these trolls are busy propagating the same bunkum that you will find in any of the oligarch owned media, in an effort to reaffirm the shit sticks principle; the more shit you throw the more it is likely to stick. Thus proving the point that all the money spent on misleading we the people and obfuscating the facts and actualities are in fact working!!!!!

These miscreants are busy playing up to the gallery in the hope that some politico may encounter the site and find the comments compelling enough to give up on genuflecting to the sacred cows!!
