Ahhh three posts in a row…

The second one an unnecessary correction of sorts..

This is of more importance –

A Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe leader issued a damning response Wednesday to President Donald Trump’s “Pocahontas” slur –

” For many Native Americans, Trump’s racist remark was a reminder of the trauma they have faced since European colonization began in the 1600s.

Frazier also pointed out that sexual assault and abuse, much like the violence that the real Pocahontas endured, affect Native American women at staggering rates.

Pocahontas was only a child when she became a victim of rape, kidnapping, imprisonment, and her forced conversion to Christianity. What happened to Pocahontas is still happening today to our women. Native American women continue to be victims of rape and exploitation by white men. The President of the United States is practicing that by exploiting native women as an insult for political machismo. Pocahontas is beloved by native people and is recognized as a victim of European colonialism. To use her name in that manner is disgusting and reflective of the President of the United States’ ignorance.
AND IT IS still happening –

    https://www.theindigenousamericans.com/2017/11/28/native-american-woman-handcuffed-raped-police-cruiser/

I AM NO FAN of the Royals.. but Who the fuck is Will Wescot..Chase Iron Eyes alerted me to this racism –

” Imagine being able to marry any woman in the world and you pick a plain, 36yr-old, half-black, washed-up divorcee from America who is 3 years your senior.”

President Trump would get a bigger march than the one against the invasion of Iraq if he shows his stupid white supremacist face in the UK. I don’t like his patronising tone to our Prime Minister. No wonder Kim Jong Un is still smiling. The man is a racist a*********e.

    • glenn_nl

Yes, Giyane, but Hillary! Hillary! Clinton! Emails! Benghazi Benghazi Benghazi! And remember that nuclear bomb she dropped on Syria? Well… she was definitely going to drop one so there! And so forth.

The Trump apologists here are still consumed with Clinton derangement syndrome, I’m afraid, which won’t allow any criticism of this racist, ignorant savage currently in the White House. A man who says Nazis – actual Nazis – are “really good people”. I wonder if they’ll still be apologising for him when he gets his war going with Iran?

This morning Radio 4 went to some length today, explaining Trumps re-tweets of some fascist UK killer outfit, by getting their top notch Zio-pundit Melanie Phillips and Herr James Phillip Rubin, both ensuring that the issue highlighted, not the group itself, had merit.

Apologists for a war on terror construct that has killed hundreds of thousands of Muslims, if not millions.

The last comment from Rubin was a slur to all citizens of New York when he said ‘ He’s( meaning Trump) from New York were people are like this’.
Brian highlighted what the indigenous people of America think about his pathetic cut and paste.
Americans don’t agree with Trumps attitudes and New Yorkers are not all like Trump, James Rubin.

        • Geoffrey

Most New Yorkers were anti Muslim,at least when I lived there. It was the acceptable face of racism.

Hillary is a self-deluding Zionist Satanist, so is Trump. Get over it. most of the world hates the UK because of the self-deluding Zionist Satanist things we have done in our colonial past.

Now that we have kicked out the Zionist Satanist public schoolboys Blair and Cameron we are obviously going to be told by the likes of Trump that we’re off course.

Whatever May is doing which upsets Trump, she should be doing more of it , not less.
I was having a go at his right-wing white supremacist racist politics.

      Knew it!

I am fine in a strange sort of way. It is a strange feeling knowing cancer is creeping up on me.

      Thanks for the good wishes.

Craig seems to be busy, or he would be telling us something new.

      • Robert Crawford

Talking about cancer, when there is a perfectly good cure available and the English Government makes it ILLEGAL to have, then it is time they are outed.
Lots of other countries are making “Medical Cannabis” available to their citizens without prosecution. However, we are only Subjects of the Queen.
We in Scotland need our Independence. Now!!! Cancer does not wait for politicians!

        • glenn_nl

Some of my workmates over here expressed shock that medical cannabis is not allowed in the UK. I’m pushed to give them any reason why not, except for the hysteria which is whipped up by rags like the (hate-)Mail, Express and so on whenever the subject is brought up – together with the cowardice of politicians.

Speaking of cannabis, do you know anyone who’s ever died from an overdose of it? Yet the medical establishment will give morphine to cancer patients, despite the terrible side effects that can produce.

        • nevermind

Well said Robert. And what would the public think that the research done years ago showed that certain chemical compounds within this giving plant have Tumour destroying properties…..

Are Cancer charities good Business? you bet.

          • Robert Crawford

All Charities are good business, in my opinion, plus churches.

I have done a lot of research into cannabis, you may wonder why.

It seems to cure everything except broken bones, and even then it is a great main reliever.

          • glenn_nl

Any business which runs off the free work of volunteers and operates tax free is damned good business. Particularly the religion industry, which has to be the greatest con ever run on mankind – quite unbelievable, literally.

Here in NL cannabis is freely and legally available, has been for quite some time, and the only trouble is the mass of tourists flocking here because it’s illegal in their repressive countries. These drug prohibition laws have been around since Nixon’s “War on drugs”. It was one of his stooges – Harry Anslinger – going around building a case for worldwide prohibition who actually said, when confronted with scientific evidence that completely contradicted his position, “I have made up my mind: Don’t try to confuse me with the facts.”

When I was at my worst in my ‘cancer pathway’ as it is referred to, my brother phoned the local Macmillan branch asking if they could give me some support. The NHS itself was wonderful. I felt the love and kindness from all of those professionals who dealt with my care but they do not have the time to sit down to have a chat.

However there was never a word back from Macmillan in spite of the endless TV advertising showing care and concern. Their income is £247m pa. What do they spend it on? Salaries? Premises? Fundraising?

How we raised and spent our money – Annual report – Macmillan …
            https://www.macmillan.org.uk/about-us/what-we-do/our-annual-report-and-accounts/how-we-raise-and-spend-our-money.html
In 2016, as a result of the generosity of our donors, and the continued hard work from our staff and volunteers, we were able to raise an astounding £245 million. This meant we could invest over £170 million in our work to improve the lives of people with cancer, including funding more Macmillan professional posts than ever ..’
They are in this list. Staggering sums.
            http://offlinehbpl.hbpl.co.uk/NewsAttachments/NST/Feat1PayStudy3.pdf
12 member of staff earn in excess of £100,000. The highest salary is in the range of £170-180k pa, presumably the chief exec.

Branson’s Virgincare got the contract to run the local NHS Community Services and Community hospitals. No carers were available to me post surgery and post 33 sessions of radiotherapy (with horrible side effects resulting in 5 blue light A&E admissions) so I had to employ my own. I had to purchase my own nebulizer and deal with my own stomach tube feeding. I live on my own and I am retired. Cured though so thankful.

The above is a sad indictment of what has happened to social care under the Tories. Luckily I could afford to pay for care as I have always worked and saved. Very many cannot pay and have no resources.

          • glenn_nl

SE: Not a nice story, but very glad you’ve recovered.

Executives getting fat pay-cheques, with plush offices, generous expenses and bonuses (sometimes with executive flats, assistants, chauffeurs and luxury cars thrown in) leaves a nasty taste in the mouth. Particularly when you know people with very little have been pleading with others, with equally little, to contribute what they can ill afford, so that all this enterprise can be funded.

We also know how ruthlessly these charities shake down people known to donate, and how they sell their details to other charities so they can bombard them with the same.

I once gave 500 pounds to the Haiti relief operation organised by the British Red Cross, on the strict understanding that I was not to be contacted again. Soon afterwards, not only were organisations I’d never heard for demanding money, but the British RC was sending personal, illustrated programmes of how my future contributions would be used. My name appeared on all these glossy programmes, with my “entry level” (no, seriously) annual subscription of just 1200 pounds/year.

It’s only when you send this stuff back to them in the pre-paid envelopes that they stop it. Asking them nicely on the telephone does nothing.

Jeremy Corbyn eventually gets round to tweeting a terse St. Andrew’s Day greeting at 11.30 AM. Funny that by contrast his St. Patrick’s Day tweet was posted at 4.00 AM.

Anyway he gets in that Labour will make St. Andrew’s Day a bank holiday across the UK. Considering that it’s already a bank holiday in Scotland – thanks to Denis Canavan – it’s not much use to Scotland. And Corbyn refuses to support an indyref to give Scotland the chance to avoid brexit, but holds up a silly UK bank holiday pledge to Scotland that’s useless.

Meanwhile Labour’s London Mayor Sadiq Khan hasn’t bothered to note St. Andrew’s Day. Funny that he issued a 120 word gushing message on St. Patrick’s Day this year in homage to the contribution Irish people make to London. He’s been known to fly the Welsh flag from his office on St. David’s Day. But Scots, who make quite a contribution in London, get ignored. Although Mayor Khan didn’t ignore Scots back in the spring this year when he publicly likened the quest for Scottish independence to racism and bigotry. Happy St. Andrew’s Day to you little man.

Ignoring people you ought to be supporting for cynical electoral reasons seems to be a Labour politician speciality. Corbyn gives us accounts of how his dear old mum stood up to Moseley’s blackshirts in the battle of Cable Street. The son though can’t seem to summon up any interest in supporting the people of Catalonia. And that means all the people of Catalonia, both pro and anti indy, who are having their democratic and human rights taken away by latter day versions of Moseley’s fascist thugs.

November the 30th isn’t just St. Andrew’s Day. It’s also Independence Day for Barbados. Happy Independence Day to all Barbadians.

The New Arab looks like a Muslim Brotherhood magazine, and MB is synonymous with war. politics and refugees. What is desperately needed in the Middle East is for the colonial West to stop using outfits like MB and Al Qaida and Daesh to achieve their colonial aims by proxy. Terrorism could not happen without Western political and logistical support. China if anything will go even further than Russia has to block Western interference through proxies. The New Arab is a political slogan for the same old, same old colonial wars.

The Trump racist tweets are allowing a swill of anti-Putin propaganda to issue today. I have just come indoors and there was Yvette Cooper sounding off against Putin. Switched her off pronto.

‘MPs accuse Donald Trump of ‘spreading evil’ over Britain First retweets
    Nov 30 2017, 12:00pm,
    The Times
Trump retweeted unverified posts by a British far-right group

President Trump faced unprecedented criticism in the Commons chamber today after sharing anti-Muslim videos posted by a British far-right group.

MPs called Mr Trump “fascist”, “stupid”, accused him of “spreading evil” and said he was “either racist, incompetent or unthinking or all three”, remarks of a vehemence never heard before about a US president in the British parliament.

Amber Rudd, the home secretary, suggested that she agreed with calls from MPs to delete his Twitter account, replying “I’m sure many of us might share his view” when Peter Bone, the Conservative backbencher, raised the prospect. One Labour MP, Paul Flynn, said that Mr Trump should be “charged with hate crimes” if he set foot in the UK.’

Concluding the debate, John Bercow, the Speaker, said…

Violent crime and terrorism through the roof and what is Mayor Sadiq Khan’s priority today?

Introducing “a range of toilets” across London to reflect gender diversity.

  • stu

It’s a shame to see so many people falling for Trump’s tactics. He basically just replicates liberal tactics – in this case using incidents of individual crimes to create a political narrative – then stands backs as a largely hypocritical reaction erupts and enjoys the benefits of further polarisation.

The next trap is the call to boycott Trump which will be compared to the welcome given to Xi when he visited. It will be compared with Corbyn sharing a platform with Hamas. Drones will be compared to tweets. To combat Trump’s tactics you need consistent and proactive thought rather than creating hysteria reactively on the topic of his choosing.

The media and politicians need to recognise their complicity in the rise of Trump and the creation of the Brexit coallition and that closing off areas of debate only draws more people towards them.

    • giyane

      Stu

Trump is a product of an incestuous relationship and he therefore is totally comfortable in places where most people are extremely uncomfortable. The only thing to do about that, in my opinion, is to condemn him for taking the conversation there and to block the places where he expresses those uncomfortable opinions. Trump is not coming from the same place as liberal thought. He is coming from much further off-beam than liberal thought accepts as tolerable. Like Weinstein and like the a*******s who took Craig to court.

Just because you and I don’t like liberals doesn’t mean that Trump is a liberal. Ge’s an a*********e and he needs to be told where to get off.

A lane gets closed on the new road bridge in Scotland to carry out snagging work. And the unionist parties and unionist press try to make capital out of it by portraying it as a scandal. There would only be a scandal and a dereliction of duty if no snagging work was carried out on such a new infrastructure project.

This concerted and relentless effort by the forces and the supporters of the British state to create the false impression of Scotland being seriously misgoverned by the SNP is so puerile and unsophisticated it insults the intelligence of the people. As well as being downright sinister.

UNICEF, has said that more 150,000 Yemeni children could die before the years out. Yet we have a British PM, whose government has sold billions of pounds worth of arms sales to Saudi Arabia that have been used to kill Yemeni’s indiscriminately, fobbing us off with humanitarian rhetoric,

If the Netherlands can suspend licences for arms sales to Saudi Arabia, in order to try and halt the killing of children, then why can’t Theresa May and her British government do the same.

Whilst she’s at it, she should also remove British troops, who are training ( what else are they doing?) Saudi soldiers to kill people in Yemen, where famine and disease are killing thousands.

Very good point, although not arms based, tonight on the Alex Salmond show, he and his former Justice Minster, Kenny MaCaskill, discuss Lockerbie, al-Megrahi, Gaddafi, the USA’s involvement, and how the British government of the day wanted al-Megrahi sent home on compassionate leave to gain access to Libyan oil.

However the SG of the day sent him home before the British government could formulate their plan, and they were criticised from all, quarters for doing so.

Reading about the 6.30pm show on RT tonight, it appears it will be a very lively and interesting account of the matter.

East Coast Line – Craig uses it so might be interested. O’Brien was talking about this earlier today. He said that Stagecoach-Virgin are abandoning the contract and will not pay the full amount due to us, the taxpayers. He reminded listeners that it ran very well under state control. So much for the Tory mantra to privatize and outsource everything a la mode Blair.

As for Grayling, he couldn’t organize a Sunday school excursion.

    ‘Today in the HoC
    Robert Jenrick (Newark) (Con)
The Secretary of State knows how important the east coast main line is to Newark and my constituents. In recent years, Network Rail’s performance has been poor, and the track does need considerable investment. That is the principal reason why delays have increased on the east coast main line. Will the new public-private partnership see more investment and improvements on the track?
    Chris Grayling
I can give my hon. Friend that assurance. In fact, we have a substantial investment programme lined up for the east coast main line, upgrading power supplies and improving the tracks, and that will certainly be steered by the new partnership.
    ____
    Andy McDonald (Middlesbrough) (Lab)
We learned yesterday that the east coast rail franchise will be terminated in 2020—three years early—potentially forfeiting billions of pounds in premiums due to the Treasury, yet the Secretary of State told the House that Stagecoach will meet in full the commitments it made to the Government as part of this contract. So, can he confirm that the full £3.3 billion due from Stagecoach-Virgin will be paid to the Treasury, in accordance with the terms of the original contract?

    Chris Grayling
Every time a franchisee takes up a new contract it makes a parent company commitment to the Government. That commitment will be kept in full.

    Andy McDonald
Can we get to the heart of this? Will the premiums of some £2 billion due under that contract covering the years 2020 to 2023 be paid? Will they be paid—yes or no?

    Chris Grayling
Self-evidently, given my announcement yesterday that we would have the east coast partnership in place in 2020, there will be new arrangements in place in 2020. As I have said to the hon. Gentleman, every franchisee makes a parent company commitment before taking out the contract and we will hold that that commitment will be met in full.

Neil Clark has kindly sent me his thoughts on the recent attack on me on Twitter after I tweeted criticism of Kamm. I won’t repeat them word for word, but he does not think it is in the least fanciful to regard it as more than a coincidence, and indeed this seems to be something of a pattern with people who dare to post criticism. This latest disgrace shows the UK bleeding legitimacy worldwide even as its destructive power erodes

Why are we still pretending that the UK is a developed country? Break it into its constituent peoples.

Good News: Islamic State conflict: U.S.A. to withdraw 400 Marines from Syria
Bad News: Islamic State conflict : USA withdraws 250 IS fighters from Syria to Iraq.
It looks like Trump is pressing ahead with Obama’s creation of a Salafist Islamic State.
One thing to remember in all of this, the bankrupt capitalist system of the West can’t let its Iraqi stooges in Baghdad give the revenue from their oil to the Iraqi people. USUKIS need the Islamic State to threaten Abadi for thinking stupid thoughts like that.

This Film..Is Powerful Stuff..Real, Realities..Gods living mere Meters away from the Vanquished. may the force be with these Traumatised children –

Beddegenoodts does not try to present a narrative of “two sides” who just misunderstand each other. He lets everyone speak for themselves. The result is 50 minutes of powerful viewing, even for those who think they already know much about the situation in Palestine.
