Russia has developed an astonishing new technology enabling its secret agents to occupy precisely the same space at precisely the same time.
These CCTV images released by Scotland yard today allegedly show Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov both occupying exactly the same space at Gatwick airport at precisely the same second. 16.22.43 on 2 March 2018. Note neither photo shows the other following less than a second behind.
There is no physically possible explanation for this. You can see ten yards behind each of them, and neither has anybody behind for at least ten yards. Yet they were both photographed in the same spot at the same second.
The only possible explanations are:
1) One of the two is travelling faster than Usain Bolt can sprint
2) Scotland Yard has issued doctored CCTV images/timeline.
I am going with the Met issuing doctored images.
UPDATE
A number of people have pointed out a third logical possibility, that the photographs are not of the same place and they are coming through different though completely identical entry channels. The problem with that is the extreme synchronicity. You can see from the photos that the channel(s) are enclosed and quite long, and they would have had to enter different entrances to the channels. So it is remarkable they were at exactly the same point at the same time. Especially as one of them appears to be holding (wheeled?) luggage and one has only a shoulder bag.
I have traveled through Gatwick many times but cannot call to mind precisely where they are. Can anybody pinpoint the precise place in the airport? Before or after passport control? Before or after baggage collection? Before or after customs? The only part of the airport this looks like to me is shortly after leaving the plane after the bridge, and before joining the main gangway to passport control – in which case passengers are not split into separated channels at the stage this was taken. I can’t recall any close corridors as long as this after passport control. But I am open to correction.

One would expect a snapshot of CCTV footage to include the location of the view the camera has. This can be turned off but when you are looking lots of pictures with similarity, it is easy to become confused and hence in large facilities, they would be on.
These images are made to look like digital photographs of a monitor displaying the footage. It is not the actual footage. doing this makes it easy to hide any artefacts that arise in an image when it has been doctored.
And for all the discussion we know full well that the authorities cannot be trusted anyway.
The more interesting question is why now? and what are the objectives of this less than certain revelation?
May must be pretty close to desperate, Chequers having been rejected, and Raab talking about “no-deal deals”, which was already evident in the no-deal technical notices already published (I have my doubts that there are going to be any others. The first lot, although severely toned down, in order not to frighten the children, still caused an explosion of horror). No-deal deals are in the heads of Brexiters, not in those of the EU.
In this situation, May is desperate to find a solution, unless she really favours no-deal, which could be the case. Brexit is her principle pre-occupation. Skirpal has to be a diversion. She doesn’t really want war with Russia, though the US war-cons do.

Much as though I have sympathy for your position, I doubt that it’s May’s primary pre-occupation. Her full -time is being taken up by Brexit.
I find it a bit eerie that after the Syria conflict died down it has popped back up in the news with talk of a major offensive and claims / counter claims about a possible “false flag” chemical attack. The same situation which occurred just after the Skripal incident.
Many commented that the timing was also convenient for May and MPs return to parliament. Something to distract us away from the general woe of British politics.
The thing is, it would be absolute folly to launch an attack on Syria on the back of Skirpal. It’s a losing project, even with a false-flag chemical attack. The French are backing out, if I understand correctly, so it would be Britain and its two Tornados who go along with the Yanks. Quagmire is flashing red lights.

Or the same place, however the image was tilted for the second photo, could have been taken with a still camera.
What would be interesting is an evaluation of the focal length of both images, or reconstruction of soe sort of metadata that indicates the device type.
I’d expect the metadata to have been stripped by software tools, however perhaps some remnants left behind.
I notice that the camera appears dirty in both pictures but in different places. Suggesting that they are different cameras. So your explanation does make sense. Also the difference in tilt.

It would be normal for Sergei Skripal with his background to have CCTV placed outside of his house.Why are we not shown a photo of the assassin`s putting the nerve agent on the door knob.The whole story is phoney.
It would make sense but maybe there wasn’t a camera. What doesn’t make sense is that no good CCTV has been released of the Skripals in Salisbury which is full of new CCTV cameras.
There were two clips released, one early on which definitely were not the Skripals. Another from a restaurant (released by the restaurant not the police) which may have been them, it is hard to tell. Both clips were of poor quality, the clips of the two suspects around Salisbury show you that the new council CCTV system is working and has pretty good cameras.
Clearly “the extreme synchronicity” was deliberate: the investigators paused the recording at exactly the same point on two different recordings from two different channels to show that the two men arrived together.

The RT account is a bit tendentious. Do we know at what press conference this event took place? And other reports?

Suspicious but not quite enough. Differences in the edge of the red poster (bottom right), the camera angles are slightly different, there’s a shadow on the wall behind the 8 in 2018 in one photo which is not in the other photo. So, it’s two different cameras but an ‘amazing’ coincidence that the two men were at the same relative positions in two different corridors at the same instant Maybe the date stamps were doctored to be the same, but that would be pointless and counter-productive.
Or the same camera manually positioned (i.e. a still camera).

These are the exit doors at Gatwick that take you out into landside from airside after baggage collection.
It is so easy for them to be in synchronicity. Any couple of people, or more arriving at the exit channels, would easily filter into different lanes and pass through at the same time.

It is the same tunnel. Different times. Camera rotated and image flipped to make it look different. Identical time stamps. Very poor job. The police ‘evidence’ is a fabrication.

There is at least one visible oddity within the stills originally presented. The angle at which the two gates are open is slightly different left from right. Curiously the situation is exactly reversed from one image to the next, a feature which is ‘corrected’ by your animation, in which the gates on either side overlay perfectly. Can that degree of correspondence be coincidental?
Another characteristic which appears to support your manipulation is the orientation of the subjects, who, in the original images, appear to ‘lean’ in opposite directions. Surely in a confined space (or spaces) such as this there would be no need for a tilt/swivel camera to be fitted. On the contrary, if such an installation were in duplicate/triplicate etc. the viewpoint would probably be standardized, resulting in consistency of viewing angle, not divergent perspective.
Convincing but not quite. If we assume that two tunnels were constructed to the same specification and made of the same measured parts then I would see this happening if you changed the tilt and flipped. Like my house is a mirror image of the one next door. However this would only work if the cameras were placed in exactly the same location, though one is more tilted.
There are a few artefacts on the image which look like dust, these don’t appear to match between the two images. However I guess it is possible that fake dirt was added to make them look different.
Still undecided.
Its the automated gates between baggage and the main terminal, they look exactly the same and perfectly reasonable that 2 people arriving together would use one each rather than follow consecutively as they are narrow yet short.
Even if different channels the likely hood of photos being taken at exactly the same time I’d put at zero.

No, they flipped one image to give that impression + rotated the camera ca 20 degrees. Reverse the process and you see there is a complete match https://postimg.cc/image/x1ixk7r4x/ . It is the same tunnel at different times. Time stamps added, they forgot to make different time stamps. This is proof of evidence fabrication and the implication is that the whole Skripal case story is fabricated as well.
There is however a caveat. In the static image of the pair arriving at Heathrow airport (Petrov leading), Petrov carries something in his left hand, his bag hung over his left shoulder and accessible to his right hand. This is exactly the configuration apparent in the original ‘Gatwick’ picture, but which is obviously reversed in a ‘flipped’ image.
Whatever else is true, these 2 photos were not taken by the same fixed position camera at all.
The metal rails on each side of each of them don’t match.
This could be because, as some have suggested, these are two different walkways, or, the camera has been moved and the effect of perhaps a multiple movement and cropping has caused the angle of the metal bars on those things to appear different…
Either way it leaves the coincidence of timing issue

I believe it is the same corridor . Looking at the second full wall panel from the left there is identical shading /marking. Note the vertical line close to the left side of the panel and more pronounced towards the top. Also note the identical shading at the left , just above the metal post.
The gates are different.

At 9:15 on 4 March the car of Sergei Skripal was seen in the area of London Road, Churchill Way North and Wilton Road at Salisbury. “11.48am: Men caught on CCTV exiting Salisbury railway station.” So – unless Skripals went back home?

I cannot see a difference in the gates in the photos. Can anybody else see a difference. I have been involved in construction and fitouts at airports over many years. The specs and dimensions for control gates in parallel corridors in the same facility would be most unusual.
There is a gap in the morning so I think the assumption is after their morning trip they went home, were poisoned then went to Salisbury. However, other than the car sighting around 9 the timeline is empty till about 1:40 when they approach Salisbury. So we don’t know where they actually were during that time.
