Theresa May Must Resign 212

There was never any doubt that the accusation of terrorism against Moazzam Begg was, once again, a tissue of politically motivated lies. What is still more appalling, I am told by a Home Office source that the decision to arrest and detain him was taken by Theresa May herself. This involvement of politicians in the abuse of individuals by the state is appalling.

Jacqui Smith did the same thing as Home Secretary, grandstanding about her role in the front page arrest of twelve Muslims in the North West of England, not one of whom was charged with any offence. The “bomb ingredient” the police found on that occasion turned out to be nothing but sugar.

Theresa May was lording it at the Tory party conference with a ludicrous speech about combating the “terrorist menace” which we are bombing Iraq to enhance, not decrease. At the same time as being acclaimed for further attacks on civil liberties, she was responsible for the completely unjustified imprisonment of the Muslim community’s most elegant spokesman against abuses, including torture, of state power against Muslims.

The other disgusting aspect of this case is the complicity of the judicial system with the state in the abuse of liberty by right wing politicians. There are no longer any effective checks on executive power in the British state. To cap this cycle of total power, Sky News last night were suggesting (and I understand behind the Murdoch paywall it is being propagated today) that Moazzam really is a terrorist and had been released as an appeasement to aid Islamic State British hostages. This total lie is a further snide attack by the terror state.

The truth of the persecution of Begg, who was detained to stop him researching British complicity in extraordinary rendition to Syria by Blair and Straw, is evidently something the Establishment does not want to enter a wider public consciousness.

In any decent society, Theresa May would have to resign over her involvement in the appalling mistreatment of Moazzam Begg. Instead she is touted as a future Prime Minister for the toughness on “terrorism”. That tells you everything about what a stinking, corrupt society the United Kingdom now has become.

Only, my dear chap, when those comments are so nonsensical as to warrant a reproof.

    Unfortunately, that is often.

I don’t know precisely who shot JFK or how the conspiracy was organized. I do know that the Warren Commission Report’s version of what happened is quite impossible.

In trials, defense lawyers are never obliged to present, still less prove an alternative version of what happened that is different from the prosecution’s account, if they can prove that the prosecution’s account cannot be true.

    Fred,

I knew also knew there was no trial as you will see from my earlier posts,i simply made a mistake in my last post referring to trial rather than the men being held in custody and investigated.

It doesn’t really explain your questioning about sugar either though does it?

If you also knew there was no trial why then would the sugar matter as there was no evidence of terror related offences?

I made no assumptions btw,I merely pointed out the men weren’t charged with terror related offences as there was no evidence.

    That’s a fact.

That is true but seems to be underpinned by a belief that the 9/11 truthers have proved that the official account is untrue. (Ditto for JFK and Dallas).

    Have they?

A pro-Israel group is suing the city’s transit authority, asking a court to force it to accept a bus advertisement including the phrase “Hamas Killing Jews” after it was rejected on the grounds its display could incite violence.

The lawsuit was filed in federal court in Manhattan by the American Freedom Defense Initiative, an organisation headed by blogger Pamela Geller, who is behind the advertisement. The lawsuit sought a ruling forcing the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to lift its objections and an award of unspecified damages for violations of the First and 14th amendments.

MTA spokeswoman Amanda Kwan said the agency had no comment. But the MTA on Sept. 19 issued a statement saying it was rejecting ads that include the phrase “Killing Jews” because displaying them on the backs of buses “would imminently incite or provoke violence.”

A court order forces the MTA to run viewpoint ads. The agency requires a disclaimer saying it doesn’t endorse the views.

I’m surprised the IDL or the AIPAC didn’t step in and force the bus company to display these hate promoting ads, right away Americans don’t seem to realise who actually pulls the strings in the good old USA.

Dozens of Israeli settlers have once again stormed the al-Aqsa Mosque in East al-Quds (Jerusalem) in the occupied West Bank.

According to Palestinian sources, more than 140 Israeli settlers entered the holy site on Tuesday. They were accompanied by Israeli troops, who forced the settlers’ way into the compound.

In recent months, Israeli troops and settlers have escalated their raids on the al-Aqsa Mosque compound, Islam’s third-holiest site after Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia.

Almost on a daily basis, Israeli troops force their way into the ranks of Palestinian worshippers, triggering scuffles.

Palestinians are extremely angry at these raids, considering them as the desecration of the Islamic holy site.

Israeli authorities are systematically acting to change the identity of several Palestinian cities.

A report published by the al-Aqsa Foundation in October 2013 said the Israeli regime is planning to build a synagogue at the al-Aqsa Mosque compound as part of its efforts to further Judaize the occupied Palestinian territories.

So Mr. Begg, described by Wikipedia as a “British Pakistani citizen, who acknowledges having spent time at two Islamic training camps in Afghanistan, supporting militant Muslim fighters, buying a rifle and a handgun, and being acquainted with persons linked to terrorism, was recently charged “on suspicion of attending a terrorist training camp and facilitating terrorism overseas.” However the West Midlands police, noted for their sensitivity toward the Muslim community, said naming Mr Begg did “not imply any guilt”.

Subsequently, at a pre-trial review on Wednesday morning lasting just five minutes prosecution lawyers told the court that the CPS had decided there was insufficient evidence to continue with the prosecution.

I think what this shows is that if you are a member of the immigrant community and you engage in military training with radical groups overseas, and purchase weapons, and associate with those deemed to be terrorists, you’re more likely than the average nine til five indigenous office worker to be suspected of Islamic-terrorism-related activity.

It seems, however, that evidence is nevertheless required before you will be convicted of any wrong-doing, so why the excitement over this case I wonder.

“It seems, however, that evidence is nevertheless required before you will be convicted of any wrong-doing, so why the excitement over this case I wonder.”

The purpose of remand is to prevent someone from absconding before they can be tried. To keep someone in prison for 9 months when you are not going to take it to trial is abusing the system, false imprisonment, imprisoning someone without trial.

(NaturalNews) Efforts to bring natural Ebola treatments to suffering West Africans have been squelched by the World Health Organization (WHO), which recently blocked multiple shipments of nanosilver solution measuring at 10 parts per million (ppm) from entering the region, leaving thousands to suffer needlessly.

WHO officials also reportedly called off a trial at an Ebola isolation ward where local health authorities were set to begin administering the silver, which the U.S. government previously demonstrated is highly effective against Ebola. WHO ordered the trial not to proceed despite the fact that it had earlier voiced support for experimental treatments.

The ‘sugar bomb’ loonies on this Thread proves conclusively that your blog doesn’t half attract them Craig. I postulate that they watch to many Hollywood thrillers, think that you truly can make a bomb from a few handy ingredients found in any kitchen and with the aid of a micro wave cooker cause a big bang?

    I know I am correct.

  • CanSpeccy

    @Fred

To keep someone in prison for 9 months when you are not going to take it to trial is abusing the system, false imprisonment, imprisoning someone without trial.

But there is no evidence of an absence of intention to take the matter to trial. What they are saying is that his release was based on new evidence was provided by MI5. So there is no evidence of abuse.

  • John Goss

The trouble with people like Canspeccy, as well as him being known for having a racist website, is that, like the trolls he takes things out of context. Begg was in Afghanistan before we started the war there. Canspeccy makes it sound like his visit to Kurdish camps in Afghanistan were last year.

  • CanSpeccy

Re: David Briggs and the Sugar bomb loonies.

Of course you can make bombs from sugar. Did it myself as a kid, which was when making things go bang was a normal part of male adolescence and not considered prime facie evidence of terrorism. You just add a certain weed killer — which is no longer readily available, I regret to say since it kills weeds much more safely (to human health) than using RoundUp.

Canspeccy- that link is about South Yorkshire Police, not the West Midlands force.

As for Craig’s post, his justified castigation of Theresa May is certainly preferable to the bilge about her in today’s Indy-

    http://www.independent.co.uk/voices/comment/its-not-hard-to-imagine-prime-minister-theresa-may-standing-on-the-steps-of-downing-street-9767869.html

I would however like a bit more verification about the collusion between the Executive (Home Sec May) and the Judiciary that is alleged to have occurred in this latest case.

  • David Halpin FRCS

I met Moazzam when I introduced him to a big gathering in Totnes 15-07-06.

For information – I heard on the Today lie machine that he had ?admitted to helping rebels in Syria by arming them. Is that correct and is there any truth in it?

My apologies to those who have read these words before from a book by Milton Mayer, from a German Jewish family who left Germany in 1938. ‘They Thought They Were Free: The Germans 1938-45’.

I keep saying that he is describing, post-humously, Britain today. But the pond skaters cannot see it. They do not dare look down so keep moving.

“What no one seemed to notice was the ever widening gap between the government and the people. And it became always wider…..the whole process of its coming into being, was above all diverting, it provided an excuse not to think….for people who did not want to think anyway gave us some dreadful, fundamental things to think about…..and kept us so busy with continuous changes and ‘crises’ and so fascinated…..by the machinations of the ‘national enemies,’  without and within, that we had no time to think about these dreadful things that were growing, little by little, all around us…..

“Each step was so small, so inconsequential, so well explained or, on occasion, ‘regretted,’ that unless one understood what the whole thing was in principle, what all these ‘little measures’…..must some day lead to, one no more saw it developing from day to day than a farmer in his field sees the corn growing…..Each act is worse than the last, but only a little worse. You wait for the next and the next.

“You wait for one great shocking occasion, thinking that others, when such a shock comes, will join you in resisting somehow. You don’t want to act, or even talk, alone…..you don’t want to ‘go out of your way to make trouble.’  But the one great shocking occasion, when tens or hundreds or thousands will join with you, never comes.

“That’s the difficulty. The forms are all there, all untouched, all reassuring, the houses, the shops, the jobs, the mealtimes, the visits, the concerts, the cinema, the holidays. But the spirit, which you never noticed because you made the lifelong mistake of identifying it with the forms, is changed. Now you live in a world of hate and fear, and the people who hate and fear do not even know it themselves, when everyone is transformed, no one is transformed.

“You have accepted things you would not have accepted five years ago, a year ago, things your father…..could never have imagined.”

That the Warren Commission account of JFK’s assassination is absolutely false has indeed been proved, at greatest length in the 2,000-page, five-volume Inside the Assassination Records Review Board: The U.S. Government’s Final Attempt to Reconcile the Conflicting Medical Evidence in the Assassination of JFK, a retired career Navy officer who was Chief Analyst of Military Records of the Assassination Records Review Board, an offical body with subpoena powers that was established by Act of Congress that operated in the 1990’s.

For a shorter, devastating account of the malpractice of the Warren Commission, read Gerald D. McKnight’s Breach of Trust: How the Warren Commission Failed the Nation and Why.

“But there is no evidence of an absence of intention to take the matter to trial. What they are saying is that his release was based on new evidence was provided by MI5. So there is no evidence of abuse.”

Then MI5 should have revealed the evidence to the police and prosecution services earlier.

I don’t believe the evidence suddenly came to light on the morning of the pre-trial hearing. MI5 must have known about it all along.

Don’t think; know. Like Canspeccy I’ve done it. Such garden shed chemistry was almost a rite of passage, I’m sad to see that the knowledge appears to have been lost but then the raw materials are harder to come by and the authorities take it way far more seriously.
