Israel’s Best Puppet Shamed 89

The most reliable Israeli mouthpiece in the House of Commons, Dennis MacShane, has today resigned as an MP after stealing £20,000 in expenses. This was not a case of a doubtful claim – MacShane actually created, himself, 19 false invoices.

Why he has not been prosecuted and jailed is a question well worth discussion.

At the time that he stole that money, his long term partner was the journalist Joan Smith, who presumably also benefited from it. She wrote this astonishing article in the Guardian:

” I am sick of my country and this hysteria over MPs. People have been led to believe that we are governed by a corrupt political class. This is sanctimonious nonsense.”

Smith is of course a great expert in sanctimonious nonsense, and a leader of the New Labour war criminal movement in their attacks on Julian assange:

It was BICOM mouthpiece Denis MacShane who attacked Paul Flynn as “antisemitic” for querying the purpose of the long series of meetings between Matthew Gould, Adam Werritty and Liam Fox, some of which included Mossad. In doing so, MacShane did not mention his own role in setting up the first of those meetings, on 8 September 2009, and that he had been present at the start of that meeting. The FCO tried to hide that fact by deleting the entire diary entry for the meeting – but that very act prompted an old colleague to tell me.

Correct Craig. I sent this e-mail round half an hour ago.

‘Why isn’t he in the chokey? He set up a false company and presented fake invoices. Just because he was found out and allowed to repay the money, he is absolved. If it was one of us, we would have had our collars felt.’

if he has false invoices check every single invoice of these “honourable” members

Stop, stop – i’m crying accrid tears into my beer here. Anyway – you beastly cove, it was the BNP that forged his 19 invoices, gave away his computers, claimed for random computers and flipped his property whilst fiddling his expenses. It was all the BNP.

As my mother would say, good riddance to bad rubbish. Even when bang to rights it was someone else’s fault. Fuck him.

I heard a report on BBC world service radio. It was astonishing – how nmuch he would miss his beloved Rotherham, and his deep devotion to the Labour Party, as though he did nothing wrong and is a great loss.

Spending more time with BICOM, no doubt.

how did he get found out ? was it our “truth seeking media” they are trying in parliament to prevent freedom of info having to reveal who MP’s landlords are, hmm security threat apparently

Jimmy Savile had met the Israeli cabinet. Think Israel gave him some medal of honour, suprised Savile did not get a burial spot on the mount of olives next to the other Israeli national treasure Robert Maxwell.

According to MacShane’s Wikipedia entry, he was fired from his first job at the BBC after he used a fake name to call the radio phone-in show he worked on at the time.

I first heard Dennis MacShane speak when he was presented as a counter-balance at a New Statesman book launch of the Israeli historian Shlomo Sand’s book ‘ The Invention of the Jewish People ‘ . He presented a pitiful figure , as Sand pointed out some of the more racist aspects of the Israeli state . MacShane unable to debate with an Israeli citizen who knew his own country remained largely silent throughout the book launch capable only of a fews embarrassed smirks and condescending remarks .

He was tweeting about Chelsea football club yesterday evening, just a thing. The Standards Committee didn’t leak and executes quickly – that’s kinda cool.

I love that interview. I think we’ve all been in the position of defending ourselves against intelligent, emotionally manipulative individuals, and it’s hard. But Craig stood up well, and kept calm. In fairness to his interlocutors, they basically don’t seem to be aware of the basic facts of the case, and are arguing from ignorance; we’ve all done it, when we believe in something. The female believes – rightly – that women who are raped are often ignored, and is passionate about this. She should be. Women are raped, and are indeed ignored. But this case is, like all of them, a specific case, and Assange is quite clearly innocent, and I’m sorry she hasn’t availed herself of the facts. I salute CM for naming Anna Ardin. Maybe if I met CM I’d think he was a dick, who knows? But anyone who appears on Newsnight to defend Assange is certainly brave, which is no bad thing. I’ll buy CM a pint if he ever ventures to Sydney.

@Reuben – yeah he’s a jew but much much more than that he’s an immbecile. This is Al Capone meets Last of the Summer Wine. There are so many parochial politicians like this guy that for him to get thrown out is serious shit. The guy is a gift that keeps giving and his faith / race is irrelevant. For him to submit invoices which he patently wrote himself takes some serious head injury – I bet there’s footage. This is unheard of in recent times – it’s amazing. Nadine Dorries called about a ‘suicidal wave spreading over parliament’ back in 2008 – phew, they fucking dodged that tsunami!

May want to want over to Guido Fawkes but take tissues everyone, it’s…tragic. Oh, the humanity!

  • Adriana

Very amusing – if I had just read a transcript of the interview and didn’t know it was Joan Smith, I would have picked her for a member of the Establishment.

Craig, your criticisms (and those in the comments here) of the thief MacShane are selective. What about his enormous Europhilia? Your own Euroenthusiasm is puzzling. Isn’t the EU contrary to all your principles? (corrupt, wasteful, corporatist, bureaucratic, inward-looking)

What a tiny country GB is or what a tiny group runs the whole thing. If that is not a tight network with multiple connections: McShane, Smith, CM, Assange, Werwitty and pals.

    @ Dick The Prick,

“This is Al Capone meets Last of the Summer Wine.”

LOL…That’s a new keyboard you owe me Dick. Can’t stop laughing and the coffee went everywhere…

What kinda media-whore is Joan Smith anyway? With that terrible logic and worse leopard-skin trousers she truly gives Cougars a bad name.Still…quaff the champers darling…’twas only the plebs that paid for it,after all..

    Bint.

    On a side riff i must say i couldn’t give two hoots if he’s a Jew,Muslim,Christian,Buddhist et al…

A twat is a twat all the world round.

Particularly a preachy hypocritical fraudulent twat.

    Good riddance.

  • Jives

And as a final restive motif on my posting rondo can i just re-iterate what a pathetic streak of bought and paid for piss Esler is.

    That is all.
