Timing is All 251

Meryl Streep took best actress award at the Golden Globes for The Iron Lady. There has been much media speculation about the motivation for Alex Salmond choosing Autumn 2014 for the independence referendum, largely centring around Bannockburn. Personally I can see the referendum coinciding brilliantly with Margaret Thatcher’s state funeral in London. That really would clinch it.

They wont care, because there is no more options than voting for one of three parties. Sometimes i say what is the difference btwn soviet style rule and present british ruling. Soviets had one party, you have three parties with one direction. Soviets had one snake with one had, you have three snakes conjoined in one head. Appalling part is they are trying to spread democracy around the world while they are the ones who need to establish democracy back in their countries.

‘His supporters catch on to a few of his policies that are useful, but this is where government should butt out of people’s lives anyway (eg, prostitution, drug-taking and military adventurism). All his other policies are total poison.’
    .
If government’s role is to butt out of these private matters, and they have spent 10 years fighting the Taliban on a moral cause to give freedom to Afghanis from the Taliban butting in, why is NATO commissioning AlQaida ( if it exists ) operatives to fight proxy wars in Libya and soon Syria? Why is Abu Qatada enemy no. 1 by old rhetoric, and Libyan rebels filling their bank accounts with CIA funds?
    .
I have been a Muslim for about 14 years and I became disturbed in 2005 that brothers had hacked into my computer for spying. How big was this invasion of privacy and was it official or individual spying. My first wife was one of those ladies about the joke was written: I never knew my wife liked football, until I realised she was sleeping with most of the football team. She managed to get my children molested in the sexual steamhouse she created in my house after I had gone and still had enough friends in high places to get herself appointed as a vicar on a cushy £18K salary. Nice work if you can find it. House and expenses included.
    .
Anyway this experience did leave me somewhat morally flattened and I did look at the occasional porn. When the brothers started spying on my computer I was determined to find out what was going on. 5 Years later I am being blackmailed by them with photos of myself taken by them from my mobile and with computer hacking. Am I feeling intimidated? Not at all, because their intrusion into my private life has been as difficult to cope with as coping with the antics of my ex-wife.
    .
Needless to say, these guys are the supporters of Abu Qatada and his ilk, the Belhadjs who the left-lobe of government William Hague etc are putting to power in the Middle East, while the right-lobe of government is still locking them up in Long Lartin, (creepy place where I have once been as a summer school teacher).
    .
For all I know Abu Qatada has every right to advocate jihad against Western governments for what they have done in Muslim countries and I probably agree with him. But I don’t agree with this intrusion into civil liberties, when it actually causes people terrible stress and makes their misbehaviour turn into an addiction. Lying and spying and all sorts of undercover malice against individuals is not acceptable in UK culture, and it is most definitely not permitted in Islam.
    .
That’s why, in my opinion, our leaders are handing over the Muslim countries to these self-appointed leaders. You will not find the traditional imams engaging in these haram things, from any corner of Islam. ANNO, NOW GUANO.

Letter to BBC, posted on medialens.
    .
    Sent: 18 January 2012 05:41
    To: undisclosed recipients:
    Subject: BBC vetting our news
    .
    Dear BBC Editors and Presenters,

This is a copy of a letter I am sending today to Lord Patten.

    Yours sincerely,

    Elizabeth

    .
    Dear Lord Patten,
    .
Re: The BBC must stop vetting our national and international news
    .
On 16th January the Prime Minister of our country welcomed the leader of the Palestinian Authority Mr Mahmoud Abbas to Downing Street. On the same day the Deputy Prime Minister of our country, at his press conference with the Palestinian guest, made the strongest possible statements regarding Israel’s illegal occupation of Palestinian territories. Yet for some reason this was not broadcast on any BBC radio or television news to my awareness.
    .
To the BBC, it seems, none of this was news. The only news in this regard that the BBC did consider worth reporting was this: “Israel criticises Nick Clegg comments on settlement” http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-16585237 (A minor point, but even the headline looks like an attempt to camouflage the real significance of what Clegg said. Why “settlement” and not “settlements”? “Settlement” could mean anything, e.g. an agreement.)
    .
On 15th January the Secretary-General of the United Nations, in a major speech he delivered in Beirut, called on Israel to end the Occupation of territories. Here is the official UN transcript: http://www.un.org/apps/sg/sgstats.asp A google search for this speech on the BBC News website brings up absolutely nothing. His comments did get a brief mention on Radio 4’s 1600 gmt news bulletin on that day, but the only part to be singled out was that relating to Syria.
    .
The following morning, on Monday 16th January, the “Today” programme conducted what can only be described as a sycophantic interview with Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Mr Danny Ayalon, on the phone from Manchester. The presenter squandered a superb opportunity to seek an Israeli reaction to the Ban Ki-man speech. Almost the entire interview turned out to be a platform for Mr Ayalon to conduct an attack on Iran without any indication being given by the presenter that an Iranian spokesman would or should be given the right to reply – something that surely is a basic minimum if the BBC’s claim of impartiality and lack of bias – to say nothing of institutional prejudice – is to believed.
    .
The BBC is almost daily entrenching its reputation as an organ for vetting domestic and international news in such a way as to save Israel’s blushes. This is no way for such an august institution to behave and it is time it stopped. I hope, Lord Patten, there is something you can do to stop it. Thank you.
    .
    Yours sincerely,
    .
    Elizabeth

In a United States of Europe (USE), a ‘United Kingdom’ is as much an unnecessary layer of middle management as a United California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah is in a Untied States Of America.

The Elite’s agenda is to remove this layer of middle management in readiness for the USE.

Cameron is a proven pathological liar and his claim to believe “passionately in the union” is no exception to his never ending flood of deceit – http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-16503307

Miliband is full of Bovine extremest too.

Thatcher: Should not have a State funeral. She did more to divide and impoverish people than any other PM in History. Her policies scarred the North of England and Scotland.Yuppie was just another word for greedy bastard that can’t get enough. She taught us to step on one another for personal gain.Blair was a very able pupil of her mantra. The Falklands was a manufactured war.Totally unnecessary ! She was strong for the south and ruinous for the rest.Dump her at sea with OBL.

Clark: Sympathies !!´Lost my dog in October. Know what you are going through. 18 years is a fair life for a dog.

The tribal genetic appandage leading to the fatalist notion that there is only the three main parties to vote for, is nothing but an excuse for inaction. This clambering for leaders and the orientation of the media towards them, regardless of their behaviour, the inevitability purveyed to all and sundry is a mere cowardly notion that says ‘Look I can do nothing but vote for those that have screwed the future of my children and are about to really mess it up with another massive war’.

Utter balderdash and a piss poor excuse for not standing yourself as an Independent, or organise with a circle of friends raise funds, start a local campaing and gain trust. It is that lazy excusing attitude that has cemented these dogmatic parties in their respective position today and which has encouraged the BBC to its depressingly dependent position as backscratcher.
Unless people wake up and realise that they cannot expect sense to come out of mainstream puppet parties tied to vested interests like sap to a tree.
Oh, no, too much embarrassment, one could loose face and be laughed at, face difficult questions and/or most likely a biased campaign in favour of these three abysmal failures. Where we are is due to those three parties and their allegiances, self centred greed and to grand personality disorders that resulted in multiple unlawfull mass murder abroad.
I have come to the conclusion that despite the haqrdship felt by many we are still too rich, there’s too much salt in the butter for many to worry.
But as Breszinski said,’it will take one massive cataclismic event which will bring the global support of most countries behind our effort’ or similar, one vegetable seller goaded by a jobsworth and the world will change in front of our eyes.
Sadly it will not happen on its own and without our participation in some kind. Organise, give a choice to the tribally addicted, the genetically engrained lefties and those rightwingers who are not ofee with the imposition of a zionist British foreign policy.

There was also this supplementary question on the treatment of Palestinian children with the usual pathetic response from Alistair Burt CFoI
    .
T4. [89833] Sandra Osborne (Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock) (Lab): In line with the recent report by the UN rapporteur on torture, will the Minister condemn the practice by Israel of holding children in solitary confinement, and will he make representations for the release of the 106 children who remain detained within the Israeli military prison system?
    .
The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs (Alistair Burt): We welcome the fact that Israel has recently changed to 18 the age of majority in those territories for criminal jurisdiction, but we have made, and continue to make, representations in relation to children’s rights—the right of audience, the right to interpreters and the like—and from the Dispatch Box recently I said that the practice of shackling children was wrong.

Mary, the significant aspect of Hague’s response about the progress made in securing the release of Shaker Aamer from Guantanamo Bay, said it all. She asked if the United Nations ought to get involved and Hague curtly dismissed any such involvement, showing that international law is irrelevant to the UK and US when these countries choose. Before the United Nations came the League of Nations. Countries which disregarded international law when that international organisation was the overseer were Japan in Manchuria, Italy in Ethiopia and Germany in Czechoslovakia. We are the agressors in the world. We have the gulags. The concentration camps are ours. We are the torturers. We are the scumbags of the world.

    ,
, Contact your local State Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or similar branch of government. Tell them you oppose SOPA and PIPA, and any similar legislation. SOPA and PIPA will affect sites outside of the United States, and actions to sites inside the United States (like Wikipedia) will also affect non-American readers — like you. Calling your own government will also let them know you don’t want them to create their own bad anti-Internet legislation.

    Yes John. Noted and agree.
    .
Ref this exchange between Andrew Percy and Hague, I thought Hague’s words were important –

    .
Andrew Percy (Brigg and Goole) (Con): The Foreign Secretary is right to call for temperance on all sides, but does he agree that it is unacceptable for senior officials and members of the Palestinian Authority to continue to attend cultural events at which individuals call for the end of the state of Israel, and that it is wrong for those officials to support sporting events named after “martyrs”—people who have murdered innocent Israeli citizens?
    .
Mr Hague: We do not support any delegitimisation of the state of Israel. +++We are friends of Israel,+++ and we support the right of Israel to exist in peace and security, but we believe that that peace and security is best served by urgent moves towards a two-state solution, and that always guides our policy.
    .

Percy is a Conservative Friend of Israel naturally, as is Hague since he was a teenager

Russian foreign minister Lavrov just announced that an attack on Iran would have grave consequences for the world and that Russia would not sit by and let it happen.
Now whatever we hold by this declaration, we cannot deduce from it that its fine to go ahead with ww3 lite, because now we know its not going to be like that.
US forces in the Gulf of persia are prolific and over bearing, Bahrain their naval base is in turmoil and its shia’s are goaded with pathetic court cases dealing with the inhumanities of its rulers and their Saudi neighbours.

It can only be a matter of days now.

UK rendition and torture collusion inquiry scrapped
A controversial inquiry into allegations of wrongdoing by the UK’s security services is being scrapped.
    .
Justice Secretary Ken Clarke said the inquiry into the treatment of detainees could not continue because of Metropolitan Police investigations.
    .
These follow fresh allegations that officials assisted the rendition of men to Libya, where they were tortured.
    .
Mr Clarke said the government was committed to holding a judge-led inquiry once these were investigated.

    Ingo,
    .
What can Russia effectively do if US attacks Iran? I see no Russians (either generals or citizens) rushing to war with US and NATO and all because of Iran. They (Russians) even swallowed partition of Sebria that was the only real Russian ally remaining in Europe.
    .
For Russia another war in Gulf resulting to increase in oil and gas prices is like Christmas present, do not you think? Lavrov of course is playing his Foreign Minister role but all odds that Russia will swallow another war. The only contender that could have challenged US is China, but it is not yet ready to do that.

Hello Clark, my condolences to you for the sad loss of Shiboo. I have taken animals in from the street for much of my life and when they die my heart breaks BUT there are so many abandoned dogs that need a home. Clark, when you are feeling stronger and stop crying your weight in tears, find it in your heart to give another dog a home. Shiboo would love you for it.

In the meantime I hope this little chap makes you smile. xx

    God Bless Shiboo.

What else Clarke and his Tory mates could do? They (like their nice Tory gentlemen grandparents before them) are trying to cover up all shameful arguments about robbery, torture, colonisation etc. There will always be legal means to do this when legal system itself is serving to cover ups.
    .
Sending people back to where they will definitely be tortured is something that UK and US intelligence services have been doing openly and to prove it one does not even need an enquiry. There are thousands of indications leading to direct cases and direct victims and potentially hundreds of court cases could be made against both US and UK authorities.
    .
Mr Murray himself has provided some evidences to support UK involvement in rendition and using evidence obtained from torture by brutal regimes.
    .
Why not start suing authorities? Is it doable?

Advocating war and arguing that Russia will not rush to help Iran but will instead wait and see and quite possibly benefit from increased oil/gas prices are two different arguments. And if one sees no difference between those arguments, one is either extremely biased or extremely arrogant.
