Between 4 and 20 August the Saudi Arabian government beheaded 19 people. Saudi Arabia, which has funded and armed ISIS from inception (initially with CIA support), is now bombing alongside the USA in Iraq and Syria.
Forget the war technology porn regularly being broadcast by western media, with those spectacular photos of missiles erupting from ships into the night sky. Those missiles and bombs eviscerate and maim innocents as well as combatants, children as well as terrorists. The West always first denies, then regrets, “collateral damage”. The propaganda can be laughable. During the invasion of Iraq I remember a news propaganda item about how a cruise missile can enter a specific window, being followed by the next item – the US had apologised to Syria for two missiles aimed at Iraq which had hit Syria by accident.
If we can accidentally bomb the Chinese Embassy in Serbia, we can – and do – hit civilian homes near the proposed target. Being eviscerated by a piece of flying shrapnel is no less terrible than being beheaded by a jihadist. Let us not pretend that our violence is somehow nicer. Children will be dying under our bombs soon.
Other than the two extraordinary crazed Nigerians, there have been no recent Islamic motivated terrorist attacks in the UK and even a slowdown in the propaganda of phoney attacks. This was a threat to the major financial interests of the security industry, in both its governmental and private branches.
There can be no greater nonsense than the idea that the Caliphate poses a direct threat to the UK. This is even more crazy than the claim that Saddam Hussein posed a threat to the UK. But by seeking to join in the bombing campaign, and initiating a new round of fake “anti-terror” arrests in London, the British government is doing everything it possibly can do to try to provoke terrorist violence on British streets. The interests of the security state are therefore secured. I am longing for somebody to explain to me the precise mechanism by which our bombing Islamic countries helps prevent terrorist incidents in the UK. The way it can provoke such incidents seems to me too obvious to need stating. Indeed it says a great deal for the wisdom and tolerance of Britain’s Muslim communities that it has not provoked more. They could teach government a great deal about the good sense of not resorting to violence to gratify passions and earn short term acclaim.

I’ve thought through one way in which the troll-roll idea could be advanced, by having a different highlighting or rather a lowlighting, a graying or de-emphasis of the known disruptors’ and shameless liars posts. And in the spirit of democracy, trolls are elected to their shameful positions, any attempt to fiddle the ballot, multiple votes from the same ip, browser id and characteristics etc., nominating the same person for this dishonour more than once, automatically earning for those fiddling the system and caught, a place on the troll-roll themselves. Let the people decide.

Good question RoU. I’ve been asking myself the same question. It must have something to do with the shared pain of seeing good people trod upon with no arbiter; no ombudsman. Craig has inspired us with his example and i don’t wish to see that image become part of the background. It should be in the forefront. The most disappointing thing about the Left, is the Left. They haggle over minutiae and create division just with their tendency to be prideful in their individualism. They are the same in the UK as in the US, as in Catalonia to Orwell’s disappointment.

I write this open letter to you in response to your recent speech at the United Nations calling for military intervention in Iraq and Syria over the threat of ISIL. In particular I would like to make mention of your reference to the so called threat to society of what you have termed ‘non-violent extremists’, including those who are attempting to bring forward information and evidence about 9/11 which contradicts the official version of events.
Putting aside the direct issue of ISIL for a moment, I find this position on 9/11 evidence to be quite incredible. It is a position that is either extremely ignorant, or it is a position that goes against freedom and democracy in British society to such an extent that it is scarcely believable. Huge numbers of extremely credible and professional people across the world are now bringing forward incontrovertible facts and evidence showing us that the events of 9/11 have been systematically covered up, and that the public has been deceived and manipulated on this issue at a quite incredible level. Just like the public was deceived and manipulated about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

Just to reinforce my point here, according to what you have said, because of their views on 9/11, or because of the evidence they have brought forward, you consider the following people to be ‘non-violent extremists’ who are a part of the challenge that society faces with the ISIL threat:

· 100,000 members of the New York public for formally supporting and requesting a new investigation into the collapse of World Trade Centre Building 7 on 9/11

· Richard Clarke – US Head of Counter Terrorism during 9/11

Increasing problems for “Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth (sic)” are not only the mounting ridicule from the other 99.7% of their profession but the incompatibility of their theory with more recent developments in the “Truth” movement. Principally the increasingly popular “No Planes” theories involving “mini nukes” or ray guns fired from space.
Proponents of these theories maintain that nobody died on 9/11 and that all the bereaved are actors in the employ of the government. This in turn means that any call by family members of victims can only be more government controlled disinformation.

I also was asking myself the same question for a very long time, only to finally realize what this Blog really is all about, which is simply is a means for a ostracised ex-insider to hit back at those, and the system responsible for the ostracism. Instead of turning his long accustomed blind-eye to the end results of the unethical policies the system thrives on, his overactive libido finally got him into a situation where he found himself as the most unlikely of Whistleblowers, an ill-fitting role for sure, and one with which he has struggled with ever since. As despite the Human Rights attacks with which he hits backs with, the man who once supervised the intelligence analysis on the effectiveness of the genocidal Iraqi sanctions, (a role that included the absurd yet deadly diabolical vetting of so called “dual-use” items, and of course providing information to UK military forces), is exactly the same man who is presenting propagandising against Russia. It takes a certain type & mindset to get as far as Ambassador, and that it happened under Blair is telling in itself, as the occasional Posts reveal, such as the off-colour comments on the UK Riots, or the gashing praise heaped on War Criminal Gordon Brown, etc.
The latest telling action was the recent thrashing of two whole threads on the pretext of alleged Holocaust denial comments; ignoring the hypocritical sensitivity to apparent/imaginary racism towards Jews as compared to frequent flagrant racism towards Moslems, that Craig chose to believe in the validity of the allegations from the usual ant-Semitic slurring Establishment Trolls, is typically indicative. That he chose to disrespect the Posters who had posted their comments in good faith, by deleting over one thousand comments, because he couldn’t be bothered to do a simple Ctrl-F search on a Poster’s name, is also highly telling, especially when you realize that on both these two threads the Establishment Trolls, had been forced to retreat to the point that for the first time in a very long time, the comments were free flowing, intelligent & constructive, a pleasure to read for a change. Of course all that changed as soon as Craig had deleted those threads, as there was a deluge of gloating trolls, encouraged by the fact that Craig had once again shown that he has more in common with them, than with any despised Lefty Poster.

Fema prisons have been built at a rate of knots in the US as it moves towards a prison factory slave-system. They pick vagrants up and imprison them to take them off the streets. Then they turn them into slaves. When (if) their term is served they are released. They cannot get a job because they’ve been in prison. They end up on the streets. But I’m unwilling to attribute to malice what can readily be explained by the sheer bloody boredom of picking through hundreds of comments on a regular basis, in order to weed out the crap, added to the screaming frustration of having to deal with the inevitable complaints of the deleted.
A largely unmoderated forum can work pretty well – the trolls are part of the scenery, and if you don’t like the scenery, bugger off to the Lake District. Point being, it’s a forum , with several open threads on different topics, and ideally a slum thread to which the most obnoxious abuse can be transferred. I think this site would work better as blog (locked, CM-only thread) +open forum than as blog+comments.
