Corruption Welcome in London 739

The FBI had somebody wearing a wire at the London Olympics to capture the FIFA corruption taking place in the margins. What were the British authorities doing? Nothing.

Britain prides itself as having in London the world’s leading financial centre. Substantial assets, both financial and real estate, from FIFA corruption are located in London. But Britain has taken over the crown from Switzerland as the major financial destination which will always protect ill-gotten wealth.

Alisher Usmanov played a major role as bagman for the corrupt Russian World Cup bid, particularly with delegates from FIFA’s Asian Confederation. His place as Britain’s third richest resident is very obviously based on extreme Russian corruption and he rose to power and wealth solely with the use of gangster muscle and contacts he gained and expanded while serving a prison sentence for blackmail. But he is a billionaire and beloved by the City of London so there is no danger of him ever being investigated in the UK.

That a key figure in FIFA corruption over Russia’s World Cup bid, is undisturbed in his large shareholding in Arsenal FC, says everything about the complicity of the British establishment.

Usmanov’s friend Gulnara Karimova is a startling example. She is now under formal investigation in Switzerland, France, Sweden and the Netherlands over the glaringly corrupt origins of her billions. Only a fake house arrest by her father has prevented her real arrest. Yet in the UK, where she has three homes including one in the No.1 Hyde Park criminals’ hangout, where she shops regularly and her son is at university, there is no move against her whatsoever.

I am delighted to see the moves against FIFA. But to me they illustrate very plainly what a corrupt stinking hole London has become.

    STOP PRESS

Speculation grows on Craig Murray’s blog about whether “Lysais” has been sacked and replaced by “Republicofscotland” as the resident Daily Mail quoter.

    Watch this space.

  • Habbabkuk (la vita è bella)

Loonies and conspiracy theorists – of whom there are many on this blog – invariably over-reach themselves, thereby rendering themselves incredibly. Fantasists and other disturbed people do the same.

And so, Republicofscotland over-reaches himself when he gleefully (or perhaps salaciously?) posts about a “former LibDem MP”, thus:

“Esther Baker, 32, waived her right to anonymity last week to allege the politician was in a group whose influential members routinely abused young girls at the Cannock Chase beauty spot in Staffordshire as police officers in uniform stood guard.”

Hababkuk offers £10 the the first (sane) person who can point to the incredible bit of the above which seems to discredit the whole.

The Iron Age fort at Cannock proves beyond doubt that Brummies preferred high-rise accommodation in antiquity.

Question for the flea-ridden troll: What is a Cannock tan?

  • lysias

According to the stories, the abuse occurred during the 1980’s and 1990’s. Not that many Lib Dems were MPs in both decades: David Alton, Paddy Ashdown, Alan Beith, Malcolm Bruce, Menzies Campbell, Alex Carlile, Ronnie Fearn, Geraint Howells, Simon Hughes, Russell Johnston, Charles Kennedy, Archy Kirkwood, Richard Livsey, Cyril Smith, David Steel, Matthew Taylor, Jim Wallace. Those who are dead, like Cyril Smith, can be excluded, as according to the stories the former MP is still alive.

  • MJ

David Steel had a flat at Dolphin Square but a lot of MPs did because of its proximity to parliament.

  • Habbabkuk (la vita è bella)

I offer the Habbabkuk Loony prize (£20) to the first Excellence and/or Conspiracy Theorist to claim that Alec Carlile’s the man (on the basis of his being Jewish, of course).

Any theories on why the Daily Mail – excellent paper, by the way! – has not deigned to name the person against whom those allegations have been made?

Any suggestions on what might be the incredible bit in the following:

“Esther Baker, 32, waived her right to anonymity last week to allege the politician was in a group whose influential members routinely abused young girls at the Cannock Chase beauty spot in Staffordshire as police officers in uniform stood guard.” ?

  • Habbabkuk (la vita è bella)

By the way, someone was almost two hours late today. Did the Daily Mail not get in on time?

  • Republicofscotland

“An Iranian govt website, so eminently believable.

    Thanks a bundle, Republicofscotland!”

Yes there’s propaganda from both sides, but there’s also truth as well.

Of course if I wanted to lose all credibility like you have, with regards to links,I would’ve posted a link to your utter farcical website Stopfake.

It kind of sums you up though..StopFake,don’t you think?

Someone on that list is married to the former principal legal adviser to the Director of Public Prosecutions (which job she left in April 2014), but a poster here does not want that husband to be named.

Police officers in the UK ask for permission to monitor use of emails, text messages and internet searches once every two minutes, a new report has disclosed.

Fewer than one in 10 requests are turned down by senior officers, although the rate of refusal varies widely.

The extent of the monitoring of private communications emerged as the Government prepares to reintroduce its “snooper’s charter” plans to give the police and security services wider powers in the fight against terrorism and organised crime.

The Ministry of Truth is spreading its wings.

    @ Summerhill –
I liked your link, and where it led, to the Positive Money outfit. But, like this commentary –

    http://www.ukcolumn.org/article/problem-positive-money

I am less than sold on the PM approach, as stated. Summary of objection:

The Bank of England is not the bank of “England”. It is the bank of the City of London, operating in the interests of the City of London, covered in a veneer of nationalisation. Every central bank in the world operates in the same way. The central banking system, run by a banking oligarchy, considers itself sovereign over and above the nation state. Handing such an institution full control of our money supply would be an insane act.

You might say that the obvious answer is to tear down and reconstruct the Bank of England and / or set up a genuine central bank under democratic oversight. I think we’d find that such a bank would simply be bypassed by the financial players – meaning that UK plc would either change very little or cease to exist at all. The solution might have worked before, say WW2, but the arena is now global – by very deliberate design – and money is roughly analogous to labour; if not enough profit is being skimmed off an activity, the activity is simply relocated somewhere else.

Cmments welcome. This is a discussion that needs to take place, anyway.

  • Habbabkuk (la vita è bella)

On the contrary, I should be delighted if someone on here would have the guts to name the person they believe to be in question – rather than posting links in a salacious and cowardly fashion and working by innuendo.

Any volonteers in the courage stakes – L….., for example?

A bit of speculation here. The NSA is to shut down mass surveillance (if you believe that there’s not much hope for you). But anyway that is what they are saying.

    http://www.itproportal.com/2015/06/01/nsa-shut-mass-surveillance-networks-following-patriot-act-expiration/

So, in theory you can take your phone with you anywhere in the clear knowledge that you will not be spied upon by the NSA. Despite that being total bollocks (these people are above the law) there must be a reason that the Patriot Act has expired with no provision for a replacement. My speculation is this though I am open to improvements.

The US has warned Americans that there is going to be an ISIS event upon them. This may likely take the form of a flood of immigrants into Texas and the event which like 9/11 will have been planned by the US and its Israeli puppeteers. Using HAARP, it has apparently already drowned out the major cities of Texas: San Marcos, Austin, Dallas, Houston, and promised them more of the same if they do not toe the line and stop talking about independence from the US. The false-flag event – I cannot say what that will be but something very devastating for the Texas populace – much more devatating than the floods.

Washington will eventually send in the cavalry, Homeland Security, and numbers of ISIS terrorists in the US and abroad will be captured sending a new influx of prisoners to Guantanamo Bay, thus keeping that monstrous place open. Homeland Security will then increase its presence in Texas at the borders and major cities for the purpose of keeping the civilian population under control and prevent them rising.

NSA will then argue how important it is to keep tabs on everybody because of these terrorists. It would argue if we had an extension of the Patriot Act (for that read Spy Act) this would not have happened. Washington would argue that Texas was not capable of protecting its borders and consequently is in need of help from the rest of the US.

The US, the country that accuses Russia of land grab, stole Texas, New Mexico, California and other countries when it invaded in 1846. Many Texans have had enough and seriously want independence. It is going to be hard for them. Their main targets should never be civilians. They should be places like Menwith Hill and the rest of the Five Eyes, HAARP stations and other encroachments into our lives. Wake up world!

The person always making out to be ‘in the know’ due to his highly secret, but influential self is the best placed to answer his own questions. despite dancing with she males once a week, sorry lol at my own description, he dares not to mention the pedophiles he’s come to know so well.

he knows the person he is seeking others to mention, but, sadly, due to his small cohones, he has not got the gumption to speak out, the fear of embarrassment is just too much to contemplate.

  • fedup

    John Goss,

you are over analyzing, the system that is to be shutdown in all probability is an obsolete and useless bit of kit, that is as good as chocolate fireguard. Hence the big fandango about shutting down a surveillance system!

The in creased 24/7 surveillance blanket is effectively an admission to failure of the poohbah whom are scared witless of the great unwashed, hence their contorl measures in the hope that the great unwashed can be kept in check.

HARRP might be a lot of things but floods and earth quakes are not one its jobs, US would like to throw the most UFOtastic stuff out there to hide the truth, which probably would be a mundane military weapon systems or such like. However again in an admission to defeat they are keeping it quiet so that the test of the world does not twig and start exploiting the same angle. Say like Mrs. Miggins trying to keep her pie recipe a secret!

Gaza City: The international community should not wait for progress on the diplomatic front before providing much needed assistance to the Gaza Strip, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said on Monday as he toured the Palestinian enclave.

Mr. B Liar tried enough to postpone any progress for as long as he could, and that he succeeded in, the war criminal come billionaire ought to be tried sentenced and shot at mid day!

Any volonteers in the courage stakes – L….., for example?

    Why don’t you “volonteer” yourself?

Always getting people to let you know who they are, where they live, and what they do, all the while you are constantly goading people into some kind of a criminal conduct. Would this conduct not effectively constitute as joint criminal enterprise?

  • lysias

Craig wrote this a few weeks ago: The Remarkably Unobservant Baron Carlile.

(By the way, until the posting urging not naming a certain former MP, my own inchoate suspicions focused, to the extent that they focused on anyone, on Beith, because of his strange vote — for a Lib Dem — against the resulution recognizing the Palestinians, where he was joined chiefly by Northern Irish Unionists. But that posting certainly redirected my suspicions.)

    Well said Fedup.

You hit the nail on the head.

Not if you’re working for HMG. Immunity guaranteed.

  • Dreoilin

“Always getting people to let you know who they are, where they live, and what they do”

Anyone working for HMG wouldn’t be attempting to find out such things by asking questions on a blog. Such information is available to “the authorities” via our IP addresses – assuming one goes through the police + internet service providers. To suggest it’s being done by some member of ‘security services’ or ‘spooks’ asking questions here is plain silly.

Justice Department in U.S. gets leads from NSA intercepts, but it almost never reveals them. Having gotten them, it then seeks to find evidence against a target already identified by the intercepts from another investigation. Then that other evidence can be used in court.

Can you supply quotations to back that up, Ros? Off you go!

Or do you feel that asking Lysias to tell us which Oxford college he attended qualifies?

After all, it was the Irish-American himself who told us that he attended Oxford…and even told us what he read there.

So why the sudden reticence about his college? What is there to hide?
