An Apology 2256

I am so committed to getting my book finished I really don’t have time or energy to blog at the moment, and realise it has been very desultory the last few weeks. I am well and happy, it is just that writing a properly researched history is incredibly intensive. I realise there is much of great interest happening in the world, but I must sometimes cut myself off from it.

This is why I don’t ask for donations for the blog…

The Dear Leader drops in on a source of money today..

    http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/2015-06/03/c_134294958.htm

Wang (Yang) said China and Britain shared broad common interests and should continue to deepen mutual trust, expand cooperation and promote the development of bilateral ties.

Maybe, but watch the mutual trust with bastard whose hand you’re shaking… what’s Blair on? He looks doped to the eyeballs.

  • Ba'al Zevul

Thanks to Mary for this one.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3110331/Blair-gets-new-job-Former-PM-set-new-role-head-group-fighting-racism-anti-Semitism-Europe.html

last night it emerged that (Blair) is to become chairman of the European Council on Tolerance and Reconciliation, which encourages countries to ‘fight such evils as racism, anti-Semitism and xenophobia’.

It campaigns for European nations to pass laws to criminalise hate speech and Holocaust denial, provide funding for security at places such as synagogues and religious schools, and examine the causes of extremism.

Set up by former Polish president Aleksander Kwasniewski and Moshe Kantor, President of the European Jewish Congress, the group aims to carry out seminars for thousands of school and university students across Europe in the next two years – about tolerance and the role of religion in society.

It is described as an international NGO, without any more connection with the EU than ‘European’ in its name; IOW a thinktank, lobby group and inventor of projects which will attract funding from the EU.

In October 2012 Viatcheslav Moshe Kantor introduced ECTR’s proposals for a general law of tolerance, which was presented at an official ceremony in the presence of European Parliament President Martin Schulz, as well as the two recipients of the European Medal of Tolerance. Expanding on the Model Law for Promotion of Tolerance, a version of which it seeks to make mandatory across all 27 member states, Chair of the Task Force in charge of its inception Yoram Dinstein said that “tolerance is the glue that cements together the bond between distinct groups in a single society”

Kantor is President of the European Jewish Congress.

Dinstein has written on international law, human rights, and the laws of armed conflict. He’s a professor emeritus at Tel Avi University, and an authority on the laws of war. Also a member of ECTR, his reference work The International Law of Belligerent Occupation does not appear to have been much studied by the IDF.

Without wishing to seem antisemitic, this is a very Jewish organisation (there is no Arab involvement at all, pace Blair’s monumental success in reconciling the Middle East and stated intention to go on doing so), and it looks as if Blair is to be the token gentile*, in a programme of – probably publicly funded – mass education** of university students among others.

Blair got the Quartet Envoy post – which he structured to suit himself – as a reward for Iraq. Has he been given this one, which should let him through some otherwise closed European doors , as a reward for playing nice with Israel? Looks like it.

*For the moment. One alternative universe, not so far away, has Blair visiting the rabbi and reconverting. ‘Hey, they hate me already, what difference will a few antisemites make?’

**This get-them-while-they’re-young-and-malleable model has already been adopted by the financial sector; see this – http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2015/jun/03/city-corporates-destroy-best-minds

The founder of the ECTR, whom Tony Blair is replacing at its head, was one Vyacheslav Vladimirovich Kantor. He’s an absolutely classic, gold-plated, polonium-dripping Russian mafioso:

    http://www.rumafia.com/person.php?id=206

In which we find, among much, much else,

An important partner of Kantor was also Viktor Yushchenko – Kantor was his advisor since April 2005 to 2007.
    Source: IA “AKS-News” from 04.05.2007

Kantor, along with Berezovsky is known as the sponsor of the “Orange Revolution” in Ukraine in 2005, which led to the cancellation of the initial results of the presidential elections.
    Source: “Paritet-media” from 27.05.2008

At last, someone beside whom Blair’s hands look only slightly bloody.

Jesus. Any journos reading, please copy.

  • Ba'al Zevul

Oh, and he is now ‘Viatcheslav Moshe Kantor’. Guess the patronymic emphasised his Russian origins excessively.

  • Ba'al Zevul

Correction: Blair is to be chairman of the council: the tainted oligarch Kantor remains its president. More detail on Blair’s latest scam here, although still nothing on what it will pay him.

    https://www.commonspace.scot/articles/1525/tony-blair-set-to-pursue-tougher-anti-extremism-legislation-in-new-europe-role

Blair has said that he intends to campaign to get the recommendations of a report by the council, the Framework National Statute for the Promotion of Tolerance, implemented by the European Parliament.

The report outlined legislative proposals to give greater power to judiciaries to prosecute hate speech, to lower barriers to what constitutes incitement to violence, and to make Holocaust denial illegal.

The text of the statute was prepared by a group of experts led by Tel Aviv University Professor Yoram Dinstein, according to the report.

Expanding on the text, when it was initially presented in 2012 Dinstein said that migrants “have a duty to integrate into their adopted society – if they’re not prepared to do so, they should be forced to leave, subject to a legal process

Does that mean no more kippah, ringlets and Shabat in the UK? Chicken soup to be an offence if committed in public? No more CST or BICOM?

    No, obviously not. Come onnnn…

  • Ba'al Zevul

Mystic Ba’al is intrigued by Blair’s trip to China, whose media censors have released only the bare fact of it. Could it be something to do with this?

    http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4647856,00.html

US alienation leading to Israeli-Chinese renaissance

Analysis: Relationship between Jerusalem and Beijing is blooming due to China’s growing self-confidence, its understanding that battle against Israel is no longer a uniting factor in Muslim world, and its desire to maintain close ties with a regional power whose crisis with Washington is deepening….

Bearing in mind Blair’s dodgy liaison between Petro Saudi and Beijing -using Malaysian money – this is not impossible.

Tony Blair turns up in Egypt again today –

    http://english.ahram.org.eg/NewsContent/1/64/132217/Egypt/Politics-/Tony-Blair-arrives-in-Cairo-for-region-talks.aspx

He appears to be representing his new outfit, the “European” Council on Tolerance and Reconciliation. This is actually nothing to do with the EU, but was set up, as noted above, by a Russian Jewish oligarch, current president of the European Jewish Congress*, but now resident in Israel. It’s a lobby group for Israel. The ‘tolerance and reconciliation’ in the title, with no more than a nod to other faiths and ethnicities, is mainly concerned with ameliorating the by no means bad conditions for the Jewish faith in Europe. Continuing to meddle in the Israeli land theft project might be seen as only distantly connected to this.

*Aims and objectives here. Tolerance and Reconciliation with regard to Palestine don’t appear to be covered. Surprise.

  • Ba'al Zevul

Tony Blair is, as will be recalled, ‘advising’ President Sisi of Egypt. Not on human rights, though.

    https://www.hrw.org/news/2015/06/01/egyptgermany-press-al-sisi-rights-violations

Tolerance of and reconciliation with the Muslim Brotherhood might be on the agenda, and the Pope may well prove to be a Siberian animist:

    http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2015/06/egypt-court-adjourns-morsi-death-sentence-verdict-150602090515345.html

We’ll know on the 16th, perhaps.

    Yo, Blair.

  • Ba'al Zevul

    What Morsi said to Israel:

    http://tune.pk/video/6097591/president-morsi-to-israel-during-gaza-2012-war-very-powerful-words

Elected ex- President Morsi is currently on death row.

Tony Blair has just left Cairo after two days of talks allegedly on the Middle East situation, but just as likely on Egypt’s economy. On which Tony Blair Associates is employed (by someone) to advise unelected President al-Sisi. Who maintains a death grip on the Rafah crossing, etc.

Blair usually tours his ME backers, Israel and UAE after a trip to Cairo. Watch this space.

  • Ba'al Zevul

Undeterred by his failure to rescue fraudster-politician Ehud Olmert from the clutches of Israeli justice, Tony Blair has another go, on behalf of really quite competent General Petraeus:

    http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/jun/08/documents-ex-cia-david-petraeus-biographer

Nothing to do with their common interest in John McCain’s cabal of putters-of-the-world-to-rights, where Blair shared a platform with Petraeus…

That this is news at all highlights the idiocy of Blair’s involvement in the Israel – Palestine issue –

    http://french.irib.ir/info/moyen-orient/item/372191-rencontre-secr%C3%A8te-de-tony-blair-avec-khaled-machaal,-%C3%A0-doha

Wow. He actually met the leader of Hamas! (In addition to a total of three very rapid visits to Gaza in seven years!) When isn’t stated, but likely not long after the last turkey shoot.

The Dear Leader has, according to this, returned to London after his Cairo visit.

Tony Blair, uninformed pontificator supreme, is presumably being paid to offer globally significant thoughts on behalf of JP Morgan/the UAE/Israel/assorted African leaders/various Central Asian despots (delete as applicable) at the Swiss Energy and Climate Summit in September:

    http://www.swissecs.ch/de/swissecs-2015/top-keynote

It’s been a while (three years) since he took any interest whatever in this topic. We can safely assume that the cheque payable to Windrush No.3 is a large one.

  • Ba'al Zevul

….That’s Tony Blair, paid advisor to Azerbaijan /BP Baku-Puglia pipeline project, Tony Blair, keynote speaker at the African Mining Indaba (strongly coal-oriented), Tony Blair, intermediary in Arab oil and mineral investment in several African nations, and Tony Blair, who gets in several thousand air miles a month….at the Swiss Energy and Climate Summit.

You’ve got to love the man. He’d sell his neck for scrap brass if it came off.

  • Ba'al Zevul

The World Cup has its own problems, with talk of cancelling Russia’s and Qatar’s hosting of the terminally boring global marketing opportunity paradigm thing. Another instance of the monetisation of play – the European Games – will be held in Asia, starting on Friday….Tony Blair gets a mention here:

    http://blogs.spectator.co.uk/nick-cohen/2015/06/the-olympic-movement-follows-fifa-into-the-gutter/

Here’s Tony with Ilham Aliyev –

    http://hrf.report/wp-content/uploads/tony-blair_ilham-aliyev-300×169.jpg

He landed the deal to advise the TAP gas pipeline consortium – including BP, Statoil and the Azeri state oil company Socar (VP is President Aliyev)- last year. I wonder if he had other pots on the boil.

Undemocratically elected Victor Ponta, PM of Romania, finds himself in a spot of bother, but manages to decree his way out of it:

    http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/jun/09/victor-ponta-says-he-would-face-court-as-romanian-mps-uphold-immunity

Blair’s advising him on ‘deliverance?’ No, ‘delivery’. As one dodgy operator to another.

    Delivery again.

    http://www.kcl.ac.uk/newsevents/news/newsrecords/2015/June/Tony-Blair-and-Sir-Michael-Barber-discuss-how-to-run-a-Government.aspx

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair joined Sir Michael Barber, Chief Education Advisor at Pearson, at King’s College London this morning to discuss how best to run a government.

IE, how to marginalise all dissenting voices, listen to the ones only you can hear, bypass any checks and balances, and bingo! academies, PFI and total financial deregulation. Best, indeed.

The Pearson Group, for anyone who’s missed it, is a global (that word again) privatiser of education. It has its critics…

    http://fortune.com/2015/01/21/everybody-hates-pearson/

Here’s a customer review of ‘Deliverology 101 – a Field Guide for Educational Leaders’ which is Barber’s book on the ‘discipline’ he claims to have invented :

A sad testament to ‘delusionology’. Barber destroyed the notion of “Public Service” with his crackpot “theories”. His blinkered advocacy of a system of managing public services through the heavily rationalist and reductionist approach of imposing allegedly objective performance targets on service delivery continues in this sad tome. Compliance with targeted outcomes is assumed to evidence success and the easy measurement of performance against targets allows effective management and monitoring of that performance. Devilology deserves to be condemned for its actual effects: constraining innovation, creating an obsessive concern with a contrived and ill-conceived series of numbers and measures (to the detriment of actual performance), detracting from good quality service, and even encouraging cheating to meet mandated targets.
Please read “Systems Thinking in the Public Sector” by John Seddon published by Triarchy Press in 2008. Seddon presents a rigorous and belligerent critique of the Barberous ideology which was part of the failed and misguided reform regime of the Blair years which rather than reform public services in fact led to the dismantling and demoralization of Health, Education and Policing in the UK.
Barber’s book is a dreadful effort based on self-aggrandization and a desire to carry on pedalling his tawdry wares.

Snake oil futures set to rise.

Whatever its source, the Telegraph’s latest leaker is remarkably well informed:

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/tony-blair/11668571/Tony-Blair-dined-out-with-wealthy-friends-on-business-trips.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

Avi Tiomkin, one of Blair’s hosts mentioned here, as would be expected from any acquaintance Blair acknowledges, became extremely rich from trading other peoples’ assets, and is an Israeli. He’s a Herzliya sorta guy, and the Telegraph didn’t find this pic of him helping to open the Tiomkin School of Economics this year.

Which may be found here (scroll down):

    http://portal.idc.ac.il/en/main/about_idc/idc_friends/publishingimages/idc%20herzliyan%20spring%202015.pdf

  • Ba'al Zevul

Here’s Belinda Stronach, also squired by Blair this year, according to the Telegraph report above:

    http://www.cjnews.com/node/86799

I’d thought Stronach might be a Celtic name. Wrong, apparently.

That’s the then Quartet Representative schmoozing a JNF donor. (The JNF is the Israeli land agency responsible for shifting Palestinians and Arabs off God’s very own patch.)

  • Ba'al Zevul

The Telegraph also reports a renewal of Tony Blair’s friendship with one Ofra Strauss. The Mail covered this one a few years agao:

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2041507/Revealed-Tony-Blair-s-intriguing-friendship-richest-divorcees-Israel–Cherie-warned-sexy-conspiracy.html

Guess what. She’s Israeli too. Chair of the Israel-America Chamber of Commerce, since you ask, and, obviously not destitute.

Mystic Ba’al’s jocular prediction that the Dear Global Leader might be thinking of leaving the Catholics for a better business environment suddenly seems not so funny at all.

Cherie better look to her marital aids….

  • Ba'al Zevul

The Strauss company’s deep concern for the IDF is revealed here, in some damning detail.

    http://palestinechronicle.com/old/view_article_details.php?id=19155

At closely-researched length, this concludes, re a protest outside Straus HQ in Israel:

The explosion of Israeli fury that threw down the boycott gauntlet was not because of Strauss’ connections with illegal colonies and their cancerous expansion by way of land and water theft and the destruction of olive groves, farmland and livelihoods as well as the daily colonist terrorism against Palestinians -all sanctioned by the Israeli Occupation Forces…

Ofra Stauss sits on the executive of The Jewish Agency which was established by the World Zionist Organization (WZO) in 1929 founded on the commitment to warrant “The unity of the Jewish people, its bond to its historic homeland Eretz Yisrael, and the centrality of the State of Israel and Jerusalem, its capital.” It acts as agent of the government in assigning land to illegal Jewish colonists in the Israeli-occupied territories. Chairperson of the Board of Governors is American billionaire James S Tisch who is also president of the Jewish Communal Fund which channels donations to right wing groups in West Bank colonies such as “Amitz, which funds settler militias; Magen Yehuda, which assists with military training for settlers; and Women in Green, a right-wing group which opposes the return of land captured during the Six Day War of 1967 and promotes the “transfer” of Arabs to neighbouring countries.”

So what woke up the Israeli public? What ignited the fierce fire in Israeli bellies to battle Strauss with the boycott weapon?

It wasn’t a profound human empathy with Palestinian suffering. It wasn’t a righteous contempt for the state’s implacable military occupation. It wasn’t a principled action to end Israeli profiteering of and complicity in the illegal occupation. It wasn’t the noble demand that Israel comply with international law and exit its illegal colonies on stolen Palestinian land.

No, it was the injustice that the price of Strauss candy is higher in Israel than in the US!

The then Quartet Representative has the hots for Ofra Strauss….

How the Dear Global Leader fought Ebola and singlehandedly defeated it in Sierra Leone, to the tearful jubilation of the multitudes. By his very good friend Evgeny Lebedev*, in Evgeny’s very own paper.

    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/africa/tony-blair-in-africa-how-the-former-prime-minister-went-to-war-against-ebola-and-won-the-adoration-of-sierra-leone-10315222.html

    (several sick bags required)

Blair visited Sierra Leone twice during the epidemic, not staying more than a day on either occasion, and his second visit was when only isolated cases were being reported. His AGI office has no medical function, and (apparently) no other agencies were involved, so I think we can attribute this to a miracle and get on with beatifying the shiteating weasel.

    *http://www.standard.co.uk/incoming/article7892614.ece/alternates/w620/Tony%20Blair%20with%20Evening%20Standard%20chairman%20and%20owner%20Evgeny%20Lebedev.jpg

The Barclay Bros, on the other hand, don’t allow their emotional attachment to Blair (look very hard through a microscope to find it) get in the way of another revelation regarding the man’s utterly unprincipled activities:

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/tony-blair/11671685/tony-blair-business-broker-china-abu-dhabi.html

He has visited China more than 20 times since stepping down as prime minister, compared with just five trips as leader.

…and three (3) trips to Gaza as Quartet representative…

A spokesman for Mr Blair said he “received no payment” for the introductions involving his Abu Dhabi client

Standard practice. The fee goes into the gaping maw of Windrush Ventures No. 3, where it disappears from scrutiny, not The Account of Tony Blair, obviously. Or a more indirect recompense, via a third party, may be arranged.

    Monetising Magna Carta –

    http://www.globallegalpost.com/big-stories/cherie-blair-hails-the-magna-carta-as-one-of-the-uks-best-exports-43960715/

Peter Oborne skewered that in January*….

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-and-order/11331353/The-hypocrites-have-jumped-aboard-the-Magna-Carta-bandwagon.html

    As he says,

Mr Cameron is close to committing Britain to withdraw altogether from the European Convention on Human Rights, a document which entrenches the principles of Magna Carta in international law. Britain will, under Conservative plans, exit the Council of Europe, and become the awful bedfellow of only two European countries: Belarus and Kazakhstan.

To summarise, Mr Cameron’s Government has launched something close to an out-and-out attack on the rule of law. The idea that either he or his ministers give a damn for the principles that underlie Magna Carta is preposterous.

Before the Global Law Summit in February at which Mrs Global Dear Leader opined.
