IS assets have now magically morphed into SDF assets under the aegis of the US. The SDF is in turn only a mere cover for the Kurdish YPG who have stretched their credibility of presiding over the conquest of purely Arab areas in north eastern Syria by pretending to incorporate some local Arab tribes.
In fact the US has been indulging in Arms laundering by forming and supporting groups, of varying degrees of moderation against the Syrian government. The laundering has now been successfully carried so that support for salafist headchoppers is no longer nescessary as all their assets have been transferred to the ‘SDF’. They left it to the Turks to deal with and launder Al Qaeda’s assets but this is still very much work in progress.

You seem to be saying that the political flavour of a superpower proxy terrorist is legitimate life choice. The definition of politics is for a power to be known by the slogan of its own choosing.
Not many people would vote for the Criminal, Asset-stripping, Racist, Worker-oppressing party of Theresa May. But at the last election many voters seem to have been impressed by the firm texture, roundness, smoothness and colour of this particular piece of shit.

      • SA

I am not saying it is legitimate, just that the packaging seems to work on people very well, and thank you for confirming this by what you say.

What is interesting in all this is that the parliamentary organisation that supervises standards in parliament seems uninterested in persuing this. If this was a public servant they would have been sacked ages ago, but of course MPs can’t be sacked.

Watching grown men beating the hell out of children turns my blood cold; what happens to people when they put on a uniform that makes them think it’s ok ? Don’t they have kids, younger siblings ?; can they really not relate to the physically, potentially life threatening injuries they are inflicting, not to mention psychological damage, and never-ending cycle of hatred ?

    https://twitter.com/RussiaConnects/status/937224991866793984

Not felt this sick since viewing a similar clip of sadists in British uniforms mercilessly beating up on little Iraqi kids.

The British government’s callous and continued austerity policies are seriously hurting the citizens of Britain, to add to their future misery Brexit isn’t even finalised yet.

“The research from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) found almost 400,000 more children and 300,000 more pensioners in the UK were living in poverty last year compared with 2012-13, the first sustained increases in child and pensioner poverty for 20 years.”

” The foundation warned that decades of progress were at risk of being unravelled amid weak wage growth and rising inflation.”

Recently a Tory politician said this government had only been in office for one and a half years. Was this supposed to be damage limitation for the havoc the Tories have wrought with Universal Credit?
It seems to be compulsory for interviewees on BBC Radio 4 to repeat that they agree with the idea of Universal credit. Without saying that they would not get near a microphone. But what changes are caused.

Prior to Universal Credit, we as a population have been encouraged to form our own businesses. Providing accounts are prepared showing our profits and expenses, We could apply for Working Tax Credit.
Now however your eligibility is dependant on real-time assessments based on your ability to prove that you worked at least 35 hours at the minimum wage after all your expenses have been accounted for.

It’s impossible to prove that if you are not working, doing your accounts, tidying up after a large contract, off sick, so now, thanks to the evil Tories, you will lose your job and your benefit. A dark cloud is blocking the sunshine of the last Labour Government’s welfare benefits. Gordon Brown established Working Tax credits for working people and that nice Mrs May, spouting quasi-socialist gobbled gook and with much wringing of hands has returned this country to the dark days under the Thatcher government.

Cuts in corporation tax funded by cuts in ordinary people’s benefits. Now we see the colour of the Tory Brexit plan. They want US to do the jobs the Eastern Europeans used to do, coming from countries where a week’s wages here for a manual worker are the same as a year’s wages over there for a professional like a teacher.

This is not hard Brexit. It is slave Brexit. And at the end of it the stark staring bonkers Nasty Party will have to go underground again for another 20 years.

To sum up the direction Britain is moving in, backwards towards a Dickensian era, where the poor knew their place, worked themselves to death no matter their ailments and without complaint.

The empire, royalty and the upper classes were all that really mattered. Johnny Foreigner, was a character to be belittled and if need be reviled. The Home nations knew there place in the empire and provided cannon fodder zand manpower when London required it.

A royal event such as a wedding should see every loyal citizen line their streets waving Union Jacks, whilst cheering on their betters, and thinking how lucky we are to be ruled the upper classes.

        Know your place.

Thank for the links Peter very interesting, first the US had Hoovervilles, then more recently Obamavilles, no doubt under Trump, poverty will proliferate, and we’ll see Trumpvilles spring up.

Meanwhile, back across the pond Britain looks towards the US for aspiration.

    • glenn_nl

So let me get this straight…. one mass shooting every day is only to be expected, Americans being so nutty, there being so many guns, and so forth. But when there’s a _really_ big shooting event, with some really crazed nut, who’s really well stocked with guns & ammo, then that obviously is a “false flag” (Sandy Hook, Las Vegas etc.) and you guys are all over it.

      • Peter Beswick

        Absolutely right Glen

Your keen sense of reasoning and critical analysis skills have allowed you to see the flaw, yet again!

As a (if not foremost) prominent Conspiracy Theorist on these pages and one of the first to understand that if someone believed Controlled Demolition was involved in 911 then it was reasonable to assume they also believed the earth was flat and they were anti-Semitic Fascist, racists.

Without these special insights many readers here would not realise some of the reasons why the world is so fucked up.

        • glenn_nl

I’m afraid your point is too garbled to hazzard a guess at its meaning. So with the benefit of a second run at it, could you explain why it’s perfectly reasonable to accept a daily mass shooting occurs in the US because of the general disarray of that country, but it’s clearly a “false flag” when the event attracts sufficient attention because of its magnitude?

          • Macky

@glenn, I think you should realise that Peter is saying that you are fighting your own straw-men again; if you generalised & stereotyped people’s nationalities the way you do with people who don’t agree with your politics, you would rightly be called a racist.

          • glenn_nl

Perhaps your memory isn’t what it was, Macky. Conspiracy minded folk here conclude many mass shootings to be a “false flag” event, you can look back and confirm for yourself.

All I wanted to know is why a daily shooting is just par for the course, but a particularly notable one is suddenly a “false flag”.

There’s been plenty of thrashing around, but no explanations for this – could you enlighten us?

          • Macky

@Glenn, My memory if fine, how’s yours ? I hope you remember the numerous times I told you that your long-standing habit of using your rants against “Conspiracy Theorists” to attack people, was just a straw-man argument, and now finally you admit it with your “assume” when you wrote this; “Given your sneering at anyone doubting your theories on 9/11, it was reasonable to assume you held other conspiracy theories in high regard too.”

            I believe Paul has given you a satisfactory answer to your specific question on the 911 Thread, but I would further add that any event, regardless of being a false-flag or not, when given MSM saturation coverage, will inevitable become politicised; this is something that you refused to acknowledge before when we discussed this subject, and my last comment to you on this is here;

“Shocking” NHS statistics have revealed that almost half of the people claiming the main out-of-work disability benefit in England have attempted suicide at some point in their life.”

“The figures, showing rates of self-harm among claimants of employment and support allowance (ESA), were published by NHS Digital in September 2016, but have apparently never been reported by the media.”

    https://www.disabilitynewsservice.com/shocking-nhs-stats-show-nearly-half-esa-claimants-have-attempted-suicide/

One wonders the true number of people who’ve attempted or succeeded in killing themselves due to the British governments unrelenting austerity policies.

Expect a sharp rise (unreported of course by the media) after the shambles that’s Brexit is concluded.

  • reel guid

It’s being reported that the UK and EU have agreed there will be regulatory alignment between the ROI and NI.

If Northern Ireland gets to stay in the single market because it voted remain then it’s going to make Westminster’s denial of a separate deal or a second indyref for Scotland all the more clearly an undemocratic colonialist diktat.

The UK is now staring to unravel big time.

      It’s not alone.

NI has a land border with an EU country. That’s all. It’s nothing to do with regional voting patterns.

The Tories are really in a mess here. They have to pursue brexit to assuage their party’s right wing and all those UKIP inclined voters. They have to concede to the EU on regulatory alignment in Ireland. But in doing so they highlight what a dictatorial thing the union between England and Scotland is.

  • Republicofscotland

“The British government appears to have bowed to the Republic of Ireland’s demand that Northern Ireland will not diverge from key EU laws and regulations in the future so as to ensure that a hard border does not return to the island.”

“According to sources, MEPs were told by the chief Brexit negotiator, Michel Barnier, that Theresa May had conceded after days of intense talks that the province would be treated as a special case with “continued regulatory alignment” between the north and south of the island after Brexit.”

“A draft of the text of a 15-page joint agreement between the European commission and the British government is said to include a commitment in paragraph 48 that “in the absence of agreed solutions the UK will ensure that there continues to be continued regulatory alignment” with the internal market and customs union.”

Barclays Bank has offered my sisters £20,000 as compensation for giving my late mother wrong advice about a Trust which was supposed to avoid death duties. The advice was given just before the Tory Banking crash. I refused to participate in the Trust because I didn’t trust the banks. When the Trust investments started to go down in value Barclays paid itself for managing the Trust – out of the capital invested. 10 years later they get this offer. yes, this was scarcely odd, because they’d eaten every one.

  • Stu

Apparently today the government was ready to give in over the border between NI and ROI.

It is unbelievable that this government feels it can change the status of an area of the UK with no parliamentary discussion and zero consultation with the people of Northern Ireland. Would Northern Ireland have appoint EU commissioners and send MEPs to the European Parliament? It is surely beyond the pale that May would decide that the Northern Ireland would be subject to EU law forever more with no chance to influence that law or alter their status under it.

This must be a co-ordinated play between her and the DUP. Why would the DUP wait until a deal was apparently agreed to state their case? It makes no sense unless the government is stage managing a Hard Brexit?

      • Republicofscotland

It’s ironic that the DUP kept May in power, now they’re about to scupper her deal.

May must surely be still regretting calling that snap GE. The British government are in complete disarray.

From politicians caught with porn to politicians visiting the Golan Heights, to a certain politician, Foreign minister, telling anyone who’d listen that the EU can whistle for its divorce bill. Same for the WIRED article, very short on facts, lots of assumptions & speculations !

Kempe: “Looking at the C4 News item it’s not the same child is it?”

      You should read the btl comments, although I know it’s hard for you as 9 out of 10 are calling-out this lame “rebuttal”; anyhow from one of the btl comments;

“This article (I can only assume deliberately) mixes up a number of different allegations by Bartlett and others.

Of the three girls you juxtapose who you say are different, numbers 1 and 3 are clearly the same girl. Also, why would it be significant that they are wearing different clothes? The significant fact is that the same girl has been used in 2 different incidents. Obviously she would change her clothes in that time.

As for girl number 2, the claim was never that she was the same girl as the others. She formed part of an entirely separate allegation, namely that in her incident, 2 or 3 different girls were used in supposed footage of the same incident.”

    • SA

      Kempe
Lets look at facts that we know and are common knowledge:

      1. White Helmets were actually founded in March 2013 by Le Mesurier. He, like many officers in the British military, attended the Royal Military Academy, where he graduated at the top of his class, receiving the Queen’s Medal.

2.Despite founding the White Helmets in Turkey, he raised $300,000 in seed funding provided by the UK, the U.S. and Japan, which Le Mesurier apparently had no trouble scrounging up. The $123 million dollars that was funneled soon after to the organization by the U.S. and UK governments, along with Western NGOs and Qatar, dispels all notion of the organization’s alleged “impartiality” and “non-partisan” stance on the Syrian conflict stated on their website.

      3. The WH operate only in rebel held areas, some of them held by Al Qaeda affiliates.

      4. There is an internationally recognised Syrian Civil Defense operating in government controlled areas and the WH have sought to usurp this name or at least to cause confusion by assuming the same name.
5.SYRIA’S WHITE HELMETS, SUBJECT OF OSCAR-WINNING FILM, CAUGHT DUMPING DEAD SOLDIERS, FIRE VOLUNTEER. Don’t take it from me, this one is from Newsweek

      http://www.newsweek.com/oscar-win-white-helmets-syria-volunteer-dump-bodies-rebels-628407

      6. There was a grisly video of WH involved in beheading Syrian Soldiers in Dara’a
      http://www.syrianews.cc/white-helmets-beheadings-soldiers-ugly-background/

7.In April 2016, on the way to receive the 2016 Humanitarian Award from the Washington DC-based group InterAction, Dulles Airport officials denied entry to Raed Saleh, the leader of the Syria Civil Defence.

If you understand what has been going on in Syria, you will clearly understand the implications of this incomplete record of the WH.

The Tory MPs from Scotland have all helped vote down amendments to the EU Withdrawal Bill that would have safeguarded devolution.

The end of any meaningful devo and the forced removal of Scotland from the EU and the single market is the end of the union. It only remains for the union to be ended formally with a vote by the people of Scotland.

To stay in the UK now would be the end of democracy in Scotland. The end of Scottish worker rights, as we’d be under WTO rules. The severe hampering of Scotland’s businesses, out of the single market. While our resources would continue to be plundered by Westminster to pay for their nuclear weapons and aircraft carriers and to try to service the trillion pound plus debt.

The Scottish NHS budget will continue to be reduced to the minimum by Westminster to keep it in line with the limited spending on the now privatised in all but name English NHS.

The union is now a total lie and a fraud being perpetrated on the people of Scotland. No good to us whether you’re a Highland Scot or a Lowland Scot. No good to us whether you’re a left wing Scot or a right wing Scot.
No good to us whether you voted Yes or voted No in 2014.

I repeat, the union is finished and it only remains for it to be formally ended by a vote of the people of Scotland.

      reel guid.

The Royal Bank of Scotland are to close 62 branches in Scotland, leaving thousands of customers without a physical branch.

This is a bank that’s roughly 72% owned by the taxpayer, though the Tory government will decide its ultimate fate. Yet I see no movement by the Tories or Colonel Davidson protesting against the banks closure of branches.

However recently the Labour orientated Unite union has called on the Scottish government to do something to save the branches and around 200 jobs that go with them.

I’d imagine that Unite know fine well that this is a reserved matter and not a devolved one, ergo one must conclude that Unite are attempting to draw in the Scottish government and try and apportion some sort of blame towards them with the bank branch closures.

Of course the blame lies with Ross McEwan and the Tory overseers of the RBS.

      • reel guid

Exactly Ros. There’s a lot of this deliberate conflating of reserved and devolved powers going on. The broadband rollout row being another example.

62 branches being closed sounds like a set up. So when the decision is taken to keep some open both the Colonel and Leonard can claim they used their unionist influence to save them. I can just see the photocalls now.
