Scotland will leave the UK, within a heartbeat, if Britain leaves the EU said, Nick Clegg.

Clegg was speaking to reporters yesterday, his remarks were a warning for unionists, at the dangers of the Tories forming a single party government, after the 2015 GE.

I sincerely hope Clegg is right, and that the Tories, push ahead with their in out EU referendum, which in my opinion will be an unstoppable catalyst for Scotland becoming independent.

So far as I am aware, British Poet Talha Ahsan is still held in a US jail, despite him serving his time after being extradited to a US jail (on a plea bargain). Admit you are guilty..which he quite obviously isn’t – or spend the rest of your life in jail..is still in jail..for one simple reason…his British Passport expired and The Home Office will not renew it..wtf is going on here? Has the UK turned into a Fascist Apartheid State?? 30 years ago..the Whole of Wembley Stadium used to sing Free Nelson Mandela.

Who is singing for this guy?

I am going to have a word with a mate of mine..a Senior Civil Servant who actually works with Theresa May..whilst he is not the brightest guy I have ever met, he is so far as I can tell completely honest. Maybe he can help get the guy a passport.

What the hell has happened to My Country?

Yeah, that’s all a democracy needs — a bunch of dreamy headed, pimply fucking teenagers voting in governments. Anyone who buys that shit deserves the government they get.

Context for my comment is the latest article –

“Votes at 16 : an idea whose time has come
Just a quick note to let you know that I have a new article at the International Business Times about the plans to reduce the voting age to 16 in time for next year’s Scottish Parliament election. You can read it HERE. “

Normally I’d treat any David Cameron remarks with, well disdain, but I found this one, had some veracity to it.

Ed Balls the Shadow Chancellor, appeared on Newsnight, when asked to name, some Labour business backers Balls replied, “Bill…the former chief executive, of EBS…Bill Hmm.. he’s a big supporter of ours.”

When asked for a surname to Bill, Balls further replied, ” To be honest, his surname has just gone from my head..which is err, a bit annoying.”

The following day in parliament David Cameron seized on Balls remark and retorted, in the chamber, “Bill somebody isn’t a person, Bill somebody is Labour’s policy.”

Yes, slip of the forked tongue. But without Obama’s admission those who have followed developments closely, and I think you are one, know about Nuland actually being recorded arranging the transition with Yatsenyuk and Klitschko et al and her famous “Fuck the EU” quote, together with Yatsenyuk’s website showing all the sponsors including NATO and Chatham House, together with the academic articles which show how much money the Yanks pumped into the Orange Revolution, was it ever in doubt who funded it? I don’t think so.

What it’s done for Europe is destabilise the union, cause the first civil war in Ukraine for almost 90 years, and create chaos, the main tool of the US/UK/Israel axis of evil.

Well Craig I see you’re appearing, at the Edinburgh western branch of the SNP, at a Winter Warmer social, on the 7th of Feb at Corstorphine Bowling Club, at 7.30pm on the Saturday.

You’re described as “Hear the adventures, of guest speaker Craig Murray, former ambassador to Uzbekistan.”

Its sounds akin to a boys own adventure, I’m sure you’ll regale them with stories of great trepidation, of you’re overseas encounters.

Michael Thompson the Westminster candidate will also speak, enjoy your haggis, neeps and tatties, and a few fine drams.

There is no satisfaction to be gained from reading about the damning King’s Fund report on the effects of the Con/LD Health and Social Care Act 2012.

    ‘Radical NHS changes ‘disastrous’
Huge changes to the way the NHS in England works have been “disastrous” and distracted from patient care, a damning report by a think tank says’

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-31145600

    The damage has been done.

  • Mary

    Thanks Arbed for your link.

I meant to add something to the BBC link that I gave. It reads as if it is purely a complaint about the cost. I don’t care what the mad woman at the Home Office spends on policing apart from the fact that £10m, which could have gone to a better use, has been wasted. It is the injustice of keeping another human being prisoner when he has committed no crime.

The plods are obviously loving being paid for doing nothing.

PS Please do not feed the troll. Not worthy of any response from you.

    Mary

“It is the injustice of keeping another human being prisoner when he has committed no crime.”

I hate to point this out, but no one is keeping Mr Assange a prisoner. He is imprisoning himself in an attempt to avoid extradition to Sweden, from where he fears (on what grounds?) that he will be extradited to the US.

Secondly, you have already judged him by saying Mr Assange “has committed no crime”. How do you know? That, surely, is for investigators to assess and a trial (if it come to that) to determine?

I hope that you won’t think I’ve fed the Troll by replying to you…..

Tony, the Wikipedia article is out of date. Not prepared to say too much about this at the moment but you may know I wrote to Talha in a Supermax prison in Connecticut. Neither Talha Ahsan nor Babar Ahmad should ever have been extradited. It was Theresa May’s doing. What happens in the US is, even if you have not committed a crime, they lock you up indefinitely 23-24 hours a day in solitary confinement until you are prepared to confess to a crime. They call it plea-bargaining. Andy Worthington, a good journalist, wrote this for al-Jazeera. It gives most of the details.

Before somebody makes the claim that this is not true they should read this. Herman Wallace never pleaded guilty and a court overthrew the original verdict a few days before he died. He was a supporter of the Black Panther movement.

So the political giant that is Gordon Brown, (if you believe the hype) is struggling to save his local Tesco store, from closure, its a pity he didn’t do anything to save his local Dunfermline building society.

The building society didn’t require the great largesse that Brown pumped into, other corrupt financial institutions, but Brown chose to let it sink.

The messiah and saviour of the union, in my opinion, has no credibility with the common man, his longevity in political terms, is due to the media and press lauding him on his unionist values.

    re UKRAINE / RUSSIA

In view of the disinformation being spread by Moscow and its Western supporters and Useful Idiots I thought readers might be interested to learn of the existence of a UKrainian website run by Ukrainian patriots and dedicated to exposing the many cases of fakery cooked up by the Russians on behalf of their fascist friends in Easter Ukraine.

    The website is : http://www.stopfake.org

Here is what they say about themselves it will be noted that the organisers and writers actually identify themselves – unlike those on sites like “globalresearch”!):

“Fact-checking website Stopfake.org was launched on March 2, 2014 by alumni and students of Mohyla School of Journalism and of the Digital Future of Journalism professional program for journalists and editors.

At a later stage, the initial team was joined by many journalists, marketing specialists, programmers, translators and all those who care about the fate of our country and its people.

The main purpose of this community is to check facts, verify information, and refute distorted information and propaganda about events in Ukraine covered in the media.

The number of volunteers is constantly growing to help verify information, to write, to edit and to translate stories.

StopFake.org community does not represent or support any political party or other organization.

The idea of the website: Olga Yurkova.

Stopfake team: Avramenko Denys, Fedchenko Yevhen, Geshel Vadim, Gontar Margo, Deynychenko Ruslan, Koltsov Mykhailo, Kovalchuk Maria, Kukulevskyi Nick, Kushnir Liudmyla, Matychak Tetiana, Panin Iurii, Sugonyako Alina, Shankovsky Oleg, Yurkova Olga, Zalitor Kira, translators and active readers-fact checkers.

The project team is grateful to colleagues who helped create and develop the project at different stages: Venzhyk Ekaterina, Voronov Igor, Dutsyk Diana, Karpenko Kseniya, Lepetun Jan, Mykhailiv Dariya, Mishenko Nina, Morfett Liza, Starova Helga, Churina Olga …

Anyone can join our community to contribute intellectually, or to share your stories.”

Enjoy and keep following this website if you want to see through Russian fascist fakery.

    John Goss,

I understand that, but can you please confirm that Talha Ahsan is still held in jail in the US. I don’t want to make a fool of myself if he has been released on the quiet, and his release has not been publicised for VERY REAL reasons.

I’m sure you know…Just let me know.

    Thanks,

Nothing is black and white. Anyone who presents it as such is either a fool or an establishment idiot.

  • Habbabkuk (la vita è bella)

Mary ardently recommends a website she seems to have just discovered.

Unsurprisingly, “ORIENTAL REVIEW is an independent Moscow-based Internet journal focusing on current political issues in Eurasia and beyond. The initiative is launched in February 2010 by a group of freelance bloggers and political analysts concerned with the aggravating security situation in the world.”

I note its claim to be independent and also note that – unlike the website I’ve just recommended, ie http://www.stopfake.org – it remains coy about who edits and writes for it.

Very coy, in fact – it just says “Editorial Team”…..

And now stop diverting and just read http://www.stopfake.org , you know it makes sense!

“I’m sure you know…Just let me know.”

Tony, although I can say that Talha Ahsan by order of the US judge is no longer in a maximum security prison. If he is in the UK then it is likely that Babar Ahmad is serving out a thirteen month prison sentence in the UK. But I don’t know whether that is true or not.

  • John Goss

Yes thanks Mary. Very well aware of Oriental Review. Some excellent articles which have had a big impact. I think it was one of their articles pointing out that Malaysia had been excluded from the inquiry into Kiev’s shooting down of MH17 which was allegedly brought down by fighter pilot Vladislav Voloshin and possibly one other pilot. I understand, though relying on memory, that two days after MH17 was shot out of the sky Voloshin was awarded a medal by Poroshenko. But the OR article about Malaysia’s exclusion from the inquiry possibly got Malaysia included which is tough titty for the west who might have to investigate it properly when they were hoping for another Lockerbie.

Nobody reports on this false-flag incident any more and there’s nothing coming out from the inquiry in Holland.

There really is no question that the US, most often employing fronts such as the National Endowment for Democracy, has been actively involved in organising civil wars and coups in every continent.
Honduras for example and Haiti. And these two cases are particularly eloquent refutations of the doctrine that Colour revolutions only take place where the majority want them. Venezuela, in 2002 was another, as was Chile in 1973 and the current Venezuelan ‘events.’ No need to mention the “Police Strike” in which Ecuador’s current president was almost assassinated or the secession movement in Bolivia which greeted the initial election of President Evo Morales.
It was, as I recollect, in Washington last year that Mrs Victoria Kagan, the wife of the founder of the Project for a New American Century, boasted at a public meeting that the US had spent $5 billion on the two coups in Ukraine.
In the latest they took care to employ the full panoply of Gladio resources available, risking the eventuality of a full blooded NAZI regime because they had learned that there really is no limit to what the western media will do to suppress, ignore or distort the truth.
One of the more curious aspects of the current revival of the Cold War is that those like Eugeny who side with the US refuse to give up the comforting notion that the Russian government is communist. Clearly it is nothing of the sort, in fact there are few places on earth as wide open to market forces and Mandeville’s dream of capitalism, as Russia is.
The truth is that the Cold War never was about communism or any objection, on the part of NATO etc, to authoritarian rule. It was then and is now about suppressing any country refusing to bow to the Atlantic Empire, now centred in the US after a couple of centuries maturing in the UK.
The significance of 1917 was not that it brought about socialism in Russia but that it led to the foundation of a state which, with all its faults and for its own reasons, offered opponents of imperialism enough support for them to throw off the shackles of colonialism. Hence, inter alia, the Chinese Revolutions which ended in the Peoples Republic.
A small fact always worth remembering is that the USSR supported Mandela, materially, diplomatically and politically, who was imprisoned thanks to British Military Intelligence and the CIA.
The current revival of Cold War is designed to finish off the job of making US hegemony permanent. They hate Putin because he arrested the process of reducing Russia to a political nullity, just when it seemed the place was about to collapse and the Russians (whom the west had been bathing in crocodile tears for decades) were dying off.
